CandidApp: Remote Monitoring Reviews

I am still in my treatment, so I don’t have results as of yet, but I highly recommend giving Candid a try. It’s much easier to have another person with you for the molds and all of the scans to send through CandidApp . After the first day of wearing my aligner, it began to mold around my teeth and I had no trouble talking, and everyone said they couldn’t even see them! You must take good care of them and keep them in all day unless you’re eating. The financing option made this even easier even though the price is way lower than the company my dentist recommended! The lower price does not mean lower quality of service.

Do yourself a favor and get a real orthodontist. Candid is scam and remote orthodontia should be more regulated to ensure these companies are actually held responsible for the garbage treatment they’re providing.

You can never get in touch with an actual orthodontist directly. Everything is channeled through customer service reps who can do little more than funnel messages back and forth and act as a buffer for your requests. I thought the worst that could happen was that you’d have to wait longer for service, but wow was I wrong.

My original treatment plan for minor cosmetic issues was 6 to 8 months. Almost two years later, I am now 3 sets of aligners in. My teeth are so much worse than when I started, my bite is horribly misaligned, and one of the aligners managed to pull my rear molars forward so they are sunken down and no longer level with the rest of my teeth. They’re answer to how to deal with this? “Cut the back tooth off your aligners with scissors.”

I understand that this is an imperfect science and refinements are a normal part of the process. But the degree of error to which I’ve been dealing with is appalling. And because no one seems to actually be checking your progress, it’s up to you to flag issues. And even then, they drag the process out so it takes weeks to get an answer.

Shame on me for thinking that this could be a viable options during the Covid pandemic. Don’t do this.

A month or so ago, CandidCo suddenly changed its business model from D2C to B2B. The cost for aligners are going to be much higher for a consumer. It doesn't bother me not to visit a CandidPro orthodontist, but now it's going to be a requirement for potential patients.

My experience to date has been fantastic. I highly recommend Candid, but frankly, I can't recommend it to my family. The cost of going to a CandidPro doctor will be too high.

I love the whitening and love the being able to manage my car at home. I’m not sure if your “grade or percentage” of examines taken on time effects your over all end support but I think your scans should be given a 2 day time frame not a 1 day time frame. I just run out of time in the day sometimes. The experience has been good, but I am having problems with my aligners and it is a little hard to reach someone on the team. 3 different people are emailing me. I sent the information they requested, only to be asked for the info and pictures again by a different person a week later. Same generated email differ named person.

Fantastic app, and the whole process is so future forward, it’s user friendly and all done from your phone , from advice, to messages and updates, scan reminders, and progress, along with access to customer service the Candid app is everything you need for steps to your new smile, if you have reserves about it just read this review , I was so skeptical but it’s really one of the best decisions I’ve made! So go ahead and do it candid is the real deal, they are the Tesla of orthodontics!!!!

The aligners obviously work, but the whole app experience is pretty bad. They claim to review your scan but clearly don’t. You’ll do a scan, submit it, and receive some templates response that has nothing to do with you scan. I’m pretty sure that if I scan a shoe instead of my mouth I’d still get their “good job flossing”.
If you contact support, which is next to impossible, because they don’t have email and if they send you and email you can’t respond to that. If you’re lucky to get through they’ll have no idea who you are, give you generic advice, don’t listen, they aren’t even aware which step you are on in your treatment. Huge gap in CS.

32 yo. Goal: fix small top overbite, close a few gaps in front teeth, and overlapping teeth on bottom row. Excellent experience at initial exam; friendly staff, lovely and very clean exam area, modern equipment. Quick communication throughout whole experience so far. Quality product, super organized and easy to follow guides. I’m 1/4 of the way through and I’m so happy with results and overall experience! They have thought of everything to make this the easiest way possible!

So far, Candid has been awesome. I’m on retainer number 4 of 16. The technology and customer experience is well thought through. I was hesitant about moving forward because of older customer service complaints, but that hasn’t been my experience. Having live chat, a phone number to call, and even a physical location near me in West Hollywood for questions eased that concern. No issues so far, and I like the progress I’m already seeing!

I honestly love CandidApp to keep track of my progress. It notifies me when my next scans are due and it shows your reports or feedback on your scans from there too. You can view your progress and it’s just very convenient and easy to use, I really enjoy it. It’s nice it keeps up with your number of aligners your on and number of scans and just all of your progress.

Wish Candid had CandidApp along with the monitoring system from the very beginning. It takes me just three minutes to take all the scans. Without this system and CandidApp it would take me hours sticking my iPhone in my mouth the right way to complete the pictures. Before it was pain. Now it’s a real pleasure.

CandidApp guides you every step of the way & is super easy to use. I love it that you can review your progress from the time you start wearing aligners to when you are finished. So cool to see your smile transform! I’m very impressed with the quality of the aligners and all the extras the kit includes like teeth whitening foam and a little “crow bar” to help you remove snug aligners. Great experience!

I’m not generally one to write reviews, but I love CandidApp. With CandidApp, I get actual feedback from my Orthodontist. Also, I can compare images to see the difference myself. CandidApp reminds me when to send images and how to take them. Excellent service offered by Candid. I’m so glad I chose to go this route. I never have to leave the comfort of my own home.

Candid is outstanding. Such a great product, my daughters treatment plan is only 8 months! Say what?!!! I wore braces for well over two years and it was such a struggle. She’s now halfway through the process and the difference is already apparent. It’s astonishing how efficient Candid really is, and CandidApp is so easy to use for the biweekly monitoring process. Highly recommended. 👍🏽

There’s a problem before I can even begin! CandidApp keeps telling me that my Candid email address and password are both invalid ~
(when I know for a FACT that neither are wrong because I just logged into the main website yesterday with the same information!) ~~
I’ve tried 8 different times with CandidApp and still the same problem ~~
Also…. There’s absolutely NOTHING anywhere in sight for me to be able to ask for help or get any further assistance while I’m on CandidApp having issues!
I love candid but I’m NOT happy about this and feel that you all should at least have an area for someone to get assistance while active on CandidApp during an issue like this!!
CandidApp also says it sent me an email and told me I need to check it but it’s been well over 30 minutes and I have absolutely no email whatsoever in any of my folders! Smh

I love being able to watch the progress of my teeth shifting seeing that in middle school I lost my retainer and three of my teeth shifted a bit - so now that I’m an adult I can afford clear Aligners and enjoy the fact that my teeth are going to be straight and guaranteed for life as long as you follow your individual plan and take your monthly scan. Thanks candidco!

I recently switched from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13 mini and am now having issues with the quality of my scans. The progress photos end up being blurry despite having a higher quality camera than previously. App should allow you to choose the lens prior to taking the scans. I have trouble aligning the default lens to the templated teeth within the scans. Please fix or provide communication how this can be remedied on the user end.

Such a great new model for straightening your teeth! Once the molds are done and your enligners are made, the process is super easy! Step by Step instructions on how to do your scans make this a super easy to use application! It is a fraction of cost on actually seeing an Orthodontist! Can’t wait to see my final results!

I wish I would have used one of their competitors. CandidApp is glitchy and is hard to get a scan done without it shutting itself down repeatedly.

You do not actually “have” an orthodontist. There is no professional orthodontist to talk to, ever. There isn’t even one customer service representative assigned to you - you have to talk to someone new every. Single. Time. No sense whatsoever that there is any one person actually looking out for your progress.

Do not recommend this company or CandidApp at all.

App is ok but the product itself is the worst decision I’ve ever made. Made my teeth worse than before, not only that, changed my bite for the worse and now I have TMJ issues….tried to talk to a doctor but although access to a representative is plenty, I still have not heard back from a doctor. Had to stop halfway because of that. And now I have to get treatment from a real orthodontist, which is what I should have done from the beginning. But we now have more to fix and I could’ve really lived without the TMJ.

One of my “kids” from work is using my phone for CandidApp…it’s frustrating to her that sometimes the notifications come through on weekends when she and I are not with one another so her scans are marked as “late” even though it’s only 24 hours later that she scans.

Other than that, the technology is amazing!

Just downloaded it. It’s glitched already. Won’t let me log in. Keeps telling me “connection issue”. Clearly connection is not a problem as I’m streaming and on other apps with zero issue. Please fix.

Changed apps on clients mid-treatment then CandidApp doesn’t event work. Stuck at the log in screen then freezes when you hit Send. Will cause me to miss a scan.
