Smart Tasks - Lists Made Easy Reviews

Extremely simple layout and easy to just jot down a quick thought or use it to layout a plan for your week!
Large text with it’s simplistic design doesn’t overwhelm the user. It’s not like opening my iPhone calendar or reminders apps where there are so many categories and you have to specify if you want it to actually remind you or else it will sit in there never to be thought of again.
ADHD/ADD friendly (for my mind but everyone is different).
Regular occurrences in my mind are: Something you need to remember to do in a day pops into your mind at a random time/place. But I don’t want to scroll through a calendar, get mixed up on the number date, pick a specific time for it to appear, etc. In my mind all those customizable details makes adding something way to complex to even want to do it (I would rather write a shorthand note on paper and carry it around wherever I go.).
All I do is open SmartTasks , the next 7 days will appear in a list, press the big green “+”, type what just popped into your head, pick the day that you want to see it visually listed under, then click the big green “Add”. DONE.

I have never left a review for an app before - this is my first. I am literally * obsessed * with SmartTasks. The way everything is so customizable, the ease of use, the grouping, the way it is so intuitive as to how you would make a to-do list on actual paper - I could go on. I am a to-do list freak and this checks all my boxes. I downloaded around 20 organizational apps and this one was far superior to all of the other ones. Not to mention, SmartTasks works with the Apple Pen seamlessly, whereas most of the other ones I've tried are not really compatible or intuitive with the pen. 10/10 recommend - I am a customer for LIFE!! My only suggestion and request would be that once you “complete” an item and it goes to the completed items list, that the items are still categorized by day instead of just one big list. I have to fill out daily timesheets for work (but usually do at the end of the month) and it would be really helpful to be able to go back to the completed items list and see everything still categorized by day.

Well let me be the first to say that I’m a very compulsive organizer & obsessive over time management. We’re talking 2 planners, daily reminders, & lists on lists of more lists. 🥴
I’m taking a pretty heavy course load this semester & I work full time, like most of us do, & the crazy organization is the only way that I can keep up with it all without falling behind.

SmartTasks is a D R E A M if you’re someone like me (hopefully not as extreme because I’m not having a good time) or someone wanting to get organized.
It’s very customizable & has multiple options per task to make it what you need it to be.
For example:
I have each class broken up into a Task & within it are all of my assignments, due dates, exam days, etc..
I also made a Task full of “routines” to help keep me on track with weekly studying & reading.

Super helpful is also the ability to look ahead at the next 7 days.
It gives a good look at what to expect in the coming days.

I could really go on & on, but I’ll finish up with saying that there’s something super satisfying about marking a task as complete & watching it disappear off the list. Just as satisfying is seeing the completed list.

Honestly just do it. Download it. You won’t regret it.

SmartTasks is absolutely amazing, and worth every penny. I love how I can have multiple lists, and be able to move to dos under certain days or whenever, and if I do the to do often I can just slide it to the next day I need to do it rather than click it off. I also like being able to see my completed to dos when I go back through week by week to see my highlights of the week. I had to turn the reminders app part off though because it drove me nuts that I could see the reminders, but that it does not work back and forth with the reminders app, such as bringing all my reminders in automatically for the days they fall on, but making it possible to click them off within SmartTasks and have them also be clicked off in the reminders app too. That would make SmartTasks perfect and would be what it takes for me to give it the full 5 stars! This has allowed me to manage my hectic life on the go and I love it!

I started using SmartTasks about 4 month ago to help me stay organized and compartmentalize tasks I need to do within my business. This has been such a life saver and feel much more organized in my business. I love the options to create various categories and how I want to schedule tasks out. It is nice to look at what I have scheduled for the day to see what needs to get done. What I also enjoy is the ability to move tasks to a different day if something doesn’t get done. It helps to eliminate the guilt and shame of not getting everything done on your list. The ability to mark a task as “completed” is also very helpful. I’m so glad SmartTasks was recommended to me by one of my coaches!

I recently downloaded SmartTasks and I’m honestly obsessed with it. The paid feature to sync across all Apple products was completely worth it and it syncs almost instantly. The simplicity is spot on, but there are enough ways to customize that make SmartTasks so functional. I would highly recommend SmartTasks and I can see myself keeping it open all day, every day. I have always been a pen/paper planner person and this will absolutely be replacing my planner.

Additionally, Francesco is extremely helpful and quick to respond for questions or Feature Requests for SmartTasks . He’s clearly passionate about SmartTasks and actually listens to those using SmartTasks .

I have tried nearly every todo, task and project manager out there. This one is the closest to perfect I have tried. I live by recurring tasks and sometimes have to move the current occurrence once, and sometimes twice. That has broken nearly every other task manager out there including the expensive ones. This one doesn’t break the future occurrences when I move a task a second time. Love the bright category colors and easy drag and drop. The developer reads and responds to all inquiries personally. If he can gives us a month view where we can scroll through more than one day’s tasks at a time, (he says he is working on it) then SmartTasks deserves 10 stars!

Let me start by saying that SmartTasks has changed my life in terms of organization. I’m a kid who tends to forget things I need to do in the next 5 days often. I am also a kid who would spur random checklists on my notes app and would lose them and forget I even wrote them.

SmartTasks does it all and in such a simple format. With the touch of 3 or 4 buttons, you are able to get your task posted quickly and effectively. I have tried many apps before, and this is by far the easiest to use and manage QUICK and on the fly. Heck, I even pay monthly for it! I don’t pay monthly for ANY other app - I find it so so worth it. I can go on and on but you get the point. SmartTasks is great.

Currently in a doctorate program while planning a wedding (I know, I'm nuts) SmartTasks for my desktop and iOS lets me seamlessly keep an eye on small and large tasks/deadlines in an efficient and attractive way! I wish I had found it earlier in my education and life. I reached out about a feature request and although that request hasn't been implemented (yet), the CREATOR of SmartTasks , personally responded to my request, which speaks volumes. 10/10 recommend, even paid for the full version, utilizing the student discount! I would've spent that money on a physical planner that I stopped using in a month or two.

Great design and interface but has a lot of trouble synching task order between multiple devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad). I’ll drag and drop to arrange ordering of tasks on one device but when I go to another device it seems to re-sync and change the order again. At first it seemed to be due to rollover tasks (they were getting bumped up to the top always), but when I resolved that (changed due date) and reordered them, they always seem to revert/jumble when accessing on another synced device.

Hoping they can track this down and fix it then it will be a 4 or 5 star app for sure. Here’s hoping they never mess with the simplicity of SmartTasks - suspect it will win a lot of converts from the bloated productivity apps out there!

This is a great app and helps me keep organised. However, SmartTasks constantly has issues with syncing across my devices and with itself. On my phone I would complete tasks and add new tasks and then a couple of hours later those new tasks are gone and the old tasks are all back on, dating from like 2 days ago. This is happening on when using the same device. Same issue happens when using another device which is a little more understandable but still a bother. Developer reached out to me already to help solve this issue! Thanks for the speedy and helpful response.

I want to update my last five star review and reconfirm that Smart Tasks is a great app for my phone that I have come to rely upon heavily. Its best features are the ease with which I can make new entries and the powerful widget that I absolutely love. Not a day goes by when I do not use SmartTasks .

Additionally, I want to report that I recently purchased my first MacBook, and Smart Tasks synchronizes perfectly between my phone and MacBook. That’s another big plus for this great app.

I just purchased Smart Tasks and have been using it successfully for two weeks. It’s easy to learn and use. I love the user-defined color coding system for categorizing tasks. I love this because it works similarly to how iOS functions. For example, to move a task from one day to another you simply hold and drag (just like if you are rearranging your phone screen). So it is VERY user friendly!

For the free trial, you can’t put in specific times or have recurring events, but I’m actually liking those limitations because it makes me think more about what I have to do that day. Also you can sync calendars which is awesome!

Definitely worth trying for a week to see if it fit us your scheduling style!

I have downloaded and deleted every task app known to the human race desperately looking for the perfect one! AND THIS ONE IS IT!!!! It’s beautiful, easy, clear, you can still see the the tasks after completing in the same page, you can compartmentalize the tasks... I ADORE THIS!! And the BEST part is the Costumer Service!! Francesco is so on top of his app and always tweaking it and maximizing it and answers all the emails!! Brilliant!! Super Plus!! I love to start my day opening SmartTasks and start checking things off! Organization bliss! It’s the best dopamine hit! Thank you from here to the moon!!

I like things to look nice AND to be organized. That is SmartTasks, completely. All of the organization is on point. I am able to organize specific days and categories, it can sync with my calendar and more! And it’s completely customizable. I LOVE IT! The ONLY thing I would change would be their calendar. I would like the option to only see my appointments on the calendar. And I’d prefer to see what I have scheduled for each day in the month at a glance, just like google calendar.

FINALLY!!!!! An app appears that has all the functionality and design that I have been longing for! SmartTasks can do so much! I love its seamless design and the hand picked colors are beautiful.

I have been looking for an app that is a to-do list, planner, calender, and reminder app all in one and my search is over! It syncs between all devices too which is great! Its hard to find an app like this that works with the watch and this one works well.

Its very easy to enter list items from categories or from the day/calendar view. I love that you can switch or apply categories within the list/task entry window, and you can make them recurring with a click of a button. Its very intuitive. Even deleting tasks is easy with just a swipe.

SmartTasks has made planning my life and staying organized much easier and I love it!

I really love SmartTasks. It's simple and efficient. Would be great if there was a way to order the "next 7 days" by category instead of letting the tasks randomly appear in there. As I'm adding tasks throughout the day, they get added to the top and I dont see the task i was working on. There are a few more things that others have mentioned (like monthly recurring events), but otherwise, AMAZING!

I have tried many to-do list apps before but they all seemed a little boring. I saw someone use SmartTasks and decided to give it a try. SmartTasks is perfect! I absolutely love the design of SmartTasks and it makes me more productive and feel motivated. The tasks are all in simple view and it’s cool how you can customize the colors. I am currently using the free version and would like to upgrade but I am not a big fan of subscription payments. $18/year seems a little too pricey for me. I would love it if they had a one time payment option.

Most task list apps don't let you do much until you pay them money. Its very nice and refreshing to see the structure of SmartTasks. Its pretty and has a wide rage of options (like the groups for different tasks) i don't usually write reviews but this really helps me because i am very behind on school , and its nice to see that i can be more organized as i try to finish everything. I am a senior in college and I wish I had SmartTasks while I was a freshman. It is so easy to make tasks and lists that help organize your assignments. You can make different lists for different classes or however you’d like to sort it! The widgets are so cute and come in adorable colors. So helpful to see my assignments on my Home Screen since I’m on my phone so much!!

I just bought the annual subscription recently and was SOOO excited because I heard it had excellent reviews! I am a PhD student as well as a business owner, needless to say very busy, and needed something to help track my schedule and tasks. SmartTasks has a beautiful interface and is intuitively easy to use, but it still is not syncing between my laptop and iPhone, despite updates. Please help me fix this?! TYIA.

SmartTasks does what it says. It’s not overly complicated and doesn’t take me a bunch of time to put in one task, like some apps do. Moving tasks around is easy, and the calendar synced without any problems.

The developer has been INCREDIBLY responsive. I asked about a feature and within days, it was added!

I love making lists and have tried other list making apps but none of them compare to Smart Tasks. Smart Tasks offers so much more and really caters to your needs. Not to mention, the colors and layout are amazing! I definitely recommend SmartTasks.

I do not know how many task managers / to do list apps I have tried throughout my career but I found none of them helpful. But finally I have found this great one. Very easy to intelligently load your tasks and highly efficient at helping you track and complete those tasks. EXCELLENT

Have always tried to use a planner with it failing every time. But with Smart Tasks it has been easier knowing when things are due and what I have to do. It has been life changing as it is user friendly and customizable.

I’m the person who’s always writing what needs to be done on my notes but it gets messy quickly. This has helped me keep everything much more organized and it’s so convenient!

So many other apps are overwhelming. SmartTasks is setup perfectly. I even loved the tutorial. I love the options. Everything is clean & simple & exactly what I want in keeping lists.
