Joi - Live Stream & Video Chat Reviews

Talk time is too expensive, it would be better if there was and unlimited monthly plan you could get just like with a prepaid cell phone plan. Instead of paying 125 tokens per minute to video chat why not have a plan where you pay like 25 dollars a month for unlimited video chat and then you just top up your coin as needed to send gift to your guy or girl . It would be much easier that way . I find myself having a good time talking to a girl but get interrupted by my tokens running out and it seems like some of these girls might not have another way to get in contact with them or if they did the conversation would be difficult because of language barriers since most other apps don’t have the real time translation feature that this app has. All things considered though this is a great way to find a potential partner especially during this time COVID when people are struggling to do most normal things like going to work, putting food in the house, being able to go out and have fun , and even dating! It’s very odd time we are living in and it clearly has become the new normal. But with an app like this it at least can solve this problem with these few minor tweaks .

The translator could also some attention... particularly in grammar and deilect language when translating into and from English in notice for example Spanish translations are hard to read if its to a person who knows only English

I just wish that I could have it to women only & it still be free to see whomever I’d like to see without having to pay ten coins for each female. Like what if I don’t like the female that I come across? I won’t be able to get those coins back. Another thing, when it’s on both, it ONLY shows males 98% of the time. Then when I do come across a female, 25 seconds isn’t long enough to see if I’d want to continue talking to her. At least give us 2 minutes, maybe a minute & thirty seconds to see if I’m interested in talking or at least give us the opinion to continue talking for as long as we want until either I or the female wants to skip one another. That would make more sense don’t you think? I see that I’ve gotten 20 free coins. Maybe have it to where we can watch ads to earn some coins. Maybe 20 coins per 30 second ad & like 50+ coins for watching ads that are like a minute long or longer. That would make Joi a lot more better & then you have guys on here pretending to be females with female profile pictures, me thinking it’s a female & then it wind up being guys looking for other guys. I don’t like that at all.

Still all the same problems as my original review. But NOW I can’t even message anyone. They have you pay for VIP to message anyone you want but I’m getting the error “you must be friends to PM” for EVERYONE. Can’t message at all. Tried contacting help multiple times but they just send an auto response and never respond after that. DO NOT USE Joi.

***original review*** Joi is basically cam girls working to earn coins. That’s how they get paid. Joi pretends it’s dating and connecting you to random girls who are looking to date. They’ll take their clothes off immediately if you just ask. They’ll admit they’re working for coins if you just ask. They’ll admit they work for Joi if you just ask. Mostly ugly foreign women, but there are quite a few beautiful ones. Also if you select “both” male and female to randomly connecting to, it’ll start out all women, and slowly transition to 50/50 men/women and eventually after a few days, it’ll be only men. If you want to connect to only women, it charges. Money grab app, but can also be fun

Short and sweet Joi is expensive and not for dating or “meeting new people”. Joi, along with “who, olive, cherish, etc”; claim to be “dating” apps but are nothing more than cam girl apps. Idk who these females are, whether they represent Joi , or work for the apps, but 95% of the girls I met with and saw, all seemed to be interested in exposing themselves to me. Some for free (not without the 120/ min coin fee for calls) and some would ask for gift first which....surprise, costs more coins lol.

Like I said it’s honestly a fun app, there is indeed attractive women on Joi, there are also very “different” women on Joi as well lol, however if you’re looking to have easy phone sex with strangers then this is Joi for you, and it’s cheap if your doing it occasionally for fun, but if you’re doing this a lot then be prepared to pay a lot.

Hello I agree with one of the comments. How are you suppose to get know someone in video chat if you guys just eat up the coins so fast. Yes you may get feee coins but if you only get 200 or 500 you can only chat for like 2 min. I enjoy text message but it’s more fun to talk and video chat but not if my coins get gone so fast and I just have to pay and pay more for coins when you get really know time to talk. It should be more easier and less expensive or more time to be able to video chat w people. Which is why I give this three stars as well. I met someone and like them but can never see them cause my coins eat up so fast and I’m not rich. Hope things can improves

Everytime I purchase coins on here it don’t send my coins after purchasing, I report it they take days to answer back, then when they answer about my coins they just say can’t find where I purchase even though I show them my receipts... or they will say text apple to get a refund and I told them many time I can’t get a refund but they take my money... I swear Joi owe me like 60k coins after some purchases I made... so I telling you guys don’t purchase here because the customer service is trash and they don’t care they just take your money.. because I spend my hard earned money to use they app and they can’t even add my coins to my account.... they owe me 60k + coins so learn from me and don’t buy coins!!! They don’t care bout the customer’s

Joi claims they punish nudity and such but they know that’s exactly what they strive on. The girls are restricted from giving personal information out because Joi knows if they play on cam and sell you nudity directly then it is more profitable for the woman to get paid directly instead of by Joi and Joi loses business. Basically they way the girls have explained to me this works is for every $250 a guy spends on coins; the girl will receive $25 worth after working many hours to take the coins from men by the minute and Joi keeps the rest as profit. It’s sickening how they take advantage of women in 3rd world countries simply because $1 is better than $0 and they have no other way to work.

It’s not a bad app by any means it has a really good concept and u can meet some chill females on there.... but at the same time prices are high for what it offers, and you should make it so we can choose our region it’s akward trying to talk to someone and u can’t talk to then mom you have to text them because you don’t know the language. Being able to change what part of the world we go to would be nice but it’s a decent app and concept you just need to improve upon some of the user convenience parts of Joi .

My review will be short and to the point. Not only is the crowd a little bit sketchy. But Joi doesn’t connect you to nearly the same about per minute used compared to other live video chat roulette apps on the iOS marketplace. The blur feature is useless and makes it hard to see. One good part about it is the chance to talk to some really amazing people that are willing to listen and sometimes want to be friends. 18+ app

I started feel a connection with a girl from Colombia but turns out she really had no interest in sending me a message through Whatsapp when I sent her my number. All they care about it getting paid and getting their coins. Do not get this if you don’t want to spend too much money. Only thing I’ll advice you is get the monthly subscription and take advantage of the unlimited messaging find yourself a girl not from a 3rd world country. I started talking to a girl from Spain and she seems more cool. You will know who only wants to use you for money. In other words it’s a online strip club.

I like the site so far, it be better if I didn’t have to pay coins for a video chat!!!! It doesn’t make any sense at all, because it strictly says no offensive language and pornography. Great at being able to talk to numerous people like or not I like,from down the street or across the world. This is a mazing way to learn different ways to speak Spanish, as in speaking Mexican Spanish to Puerto Rican Spanish.

Love The Application , maybe different ways to discover users would be a cool update!

Does Joi allow you to exchange personal information with the girl you are having a chat with can you meet the girls in person so if I message a girl my phone number will she be able to see the the full phone number

If you really want Joi to be one of the most popular dating/social media apps in Joi Store then please make it free to talk to women. Talking for 25 seconds is not enough time to have a conversation and get to know someone. Hopefully you can change that in the future.

Can you please reduce the amount of coins used for calls because I currently have 4180 coins and I keep having to buy more because the coin usage is WAY TOO HIGH so just reduce the amount and also bring back the gifts and make the price reduced on them as well because the females keep asking me to send them gifts and I tell them that I can’t send any and they either hang up or they keep trying to ask me for gifts, thank you.

Aside from meeting nice looking girls it’s definitely a money grabbing app, they give you options on how many coins you want to purchase which is stupid and then they charge you 120 coins a minute just to talk to girls on video which is also stupid. Over all it will get very very expensive to talk to girls on Joi. Do your selfs a favor and download video chatting apps that are free. This one will eat up your money.

Joi is great. The people are legitimately human and like chatting. I use to buy coins til I was broke. But as an iOS user they’ve removed gifting. Which shouldn’t be a big deal. But I’ve spent thousands of coins as minutes explaining to potential friends that I can’t gift. Some women only talk to you if you gift (they gotta pay bills too and it’s harder to earn in other countries, just ask them when you chat) so I’m wasting minutes upon minutes explaining that app developers told me they are tweaking some aspects of Joi and that gifting is removed. Well it turns out on iOS only is it removed. It’s getting rough or annoying to explain this over and over and spend money on it. I’ve checked website if developers and nothing to inform anyone of this change.
