They didn’t refund the 200omr deposit and it’s been months.

They fine you themselves 25ro if you get a parking ticket which is absurd and they deduct it from your card directly not from the deposit

Tried to book with them last month and they immediately charged both deposit and rental amount despite having no cars actually available, they denied ability to change car category and despite promise to refund have no issued a refund nor have they released the deposit, absolute scam they have no cars and are using this as a tool for stealing our money,

They charge very high fees over and above what you agree on. Too many hidden fees. Never again

Never rent a car from them

This company steal money 100 percent scammers add complaint about them to the RTA in uae

1- They charged me double my rent, and said it was a glitch. Took 7 days to take my money back.
2- when you return the car, they deduct as much ad they can from your security deposit for unclear reasonsZ and again it will take them ages to reply back with good reason. And still will not pay You back.

Sharing my experience, so be ware what you sign for.

Car deposit is usually blocked on credit card and not made as a retail purchase on credit card. This way is very unusual and stupid!
Customer has to make payment on credit card to bank as this will appear on credit card purchase.
No one or no where mentioned this during booking. I felt disappointed during the booking process completion.

Just go directly to the vendor. They are a scam and refuse to reply when you need your deposit.

Read the contract properly or they will charge twice as much. Also they don’t actually have cars but they rent from third parties like Hertz but there is no communication between them so when you return the car to Hertz they do not tell selfdrive, either that or selfdrive pretends not to know so they have the excuse to say they do not know the car has been returned and can automatically extend the contract for the same amount of time it was rented the first time thus you end up paying twice as much. Very dark

They only communicate with you when they want your money. If you cancel you’ll never hear from the again.

Avoid at all costs. Lies, long wait for responses, car delivered one day late in wrong requested color, customer support is trash. Worst car rental experience I’ve had in 5 years living in Bahrain. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Garbage

Never got my deposit refunded. They said it takes 60 days to process. Told me 21 days before I rented. Prices are very high too. Definitely better companies out there

I had a disappointing experience with this rental service, I would give them 0 star. They requested that I return the car 2 days earlier due to the office closing for holidays, which was quite inconvenient. They also informed me that I would need to wait 30 days for my deposit to be returned.

To make matters worse, I was subsequently charged 165 OMR without any reason or explanation. There was no communication from them—no email, no phone call, not even a WhatsApp message.

Overall, very dissatisfied with the service and lack of transparency.
