Second attempt

I tried haptik a while back and it didn’t work for me. Trying it today I still cannot adjust the tempo. On the tempo number in the middle of the phone screen it’s locked at 60 bpm. On the Apple Watch when attempting to adjust the tempo (still 60 bpm) via the crown it brings up the pricing for haptik . I can initiate the tempo on both the phone and watch but neither will respond to anything else. Seems broken behind a pay wall.

Epic fail on every front for a “metronome”. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The whole point of a metronome is to be like KAMALA: keep the beat and keep it strong! This stupid thing slows down and speeds up when you move your arm, and it doesn’t even tap hard enough to feel when you’re moving your hand around, which basically means any instrument that uses your left hand obviates feeling the beat. This was a great idea, but the execution is a complete failure.

Also, go eat a bag of chicks for subscriptionware! 🤬 If this actually did what it promises to do, I would happily pay you $.99 for it, but you’re just insulting the customers by demanding a constant tithe.

Useless if watch can’t be always awake

As soon as you turn your wrist away from your body the watch goes to sleep and the this app metronome stops. On older iPhones there is no option to keep watch always awake.
Unless you plan on using this while your watch face is continually pointed at your face it will not work. This kind of ruins the entire convenience of having the metronome on your watch.

Selecting Tempo is a PAIN!

Love the ideal of using my watch and being able to sync with others. The only complaint I have is the difficulty of selecting the tempo I want. Currently you can only change the tempo by sliding your finger up and down. It would nice if we could type the tempo we want in. I have a known tempo and it would be easier (not mention faster) to just type it in and go.

Cool idea and all…

The watch app is pretty unusable for a watch that doesn’t have an always on feature. I’m suspicious that the beat on the watch would just be too light in most cases, but I can’t really say for sure because it doesn’t really work as my watch doesn’t do always kn

Difficult to set precisely

In a controlled environment (both hands on the phone and carefully moving my thumb to adjust tempo) I cannot consistently land on the tempo I want. And there’s no way to adjust other than by sliding up and down. There’s no way I’ll be able to set the tempo on the fly during a performance.

Decent

Pretty simple to use but my battery on my watch is old and this isn’t working with the screen off. If there’s a setting I haven’t found it yet. Fixing it would move to 5 *’s

Needs more work for it to be usable

The haptic on the watch is so soft it’s useless. I mean, they did name haptik this app didn’t they? Haha. Discovered by reading reviews you can set exact tempo by tap and holding on the iPhone screen. Tempo is also adjustable by turning the crown on the watch

Needs vibration settings

haptik would be perfect if we could control the vibrations of up/down beats! I'd also like to be able to make the vibration pulses stronger,,,, it's sometimes hard to keep up with it when playing music because it seems faint when playing. Other than that,,,, it's really useful!

Tempo out of sync

Team. If you try your app you will find the tempo is out of sync between watch and iPhone. This is really a flaw. I'm using W8 and iPhone 14 PM, hope this will get solved in the next update.

Temo constantly changes itself

So many features, but all I want is to disable the stupid watch wheel, which interrupts and changes the tempo every time my wrist moves, which, since I use it to count seconds while working out happens a lot, and I have never once wanted to change the tempo anyway. Even if you’re using it for its intended purpose, the ease of accidentally changing tempo while in use is a design flaw, and one that would be extremely easy to fix.

Has promise, but not quite there

I enjoy using haptik on my Apple Watch but it has issues. I have to tighten the strap to my wrist really tight to feel the vibration of the tempo while I play, or I can lose it easily. The iPhone app is great, but none of my recordings will load on the phone, so I can only listen to them on the watch. It’s a good app, it just has annoying short falls.

Not so well on the watch

There is a serious need for an app like this. It works great on my iPhone. Although it does work on my watch it doesn’t provide enough of a vibration to be of any use. I play guitar and when I play, I cannot feel the beat coming from my watch. Since operation on my watch was my main reason for purchasing haptik, as of the writing of this review, it is no use to me. My 3 star rating is based on the fact that it doesn’t work sufficiently to be of use on my watch.

Needs set list feature

I like haptik , but it’s missing a set list feature or at least a song list feature to easily recall tempos for individual songs

Promising App

The fact that haptik works on the watch in the background, giving you a continuous metronome, alone is worth the purchase.

Feature request: Please add various strengths to the watch app that can represent various beat patterns. For example, a strong pulse for an upbeat, a medium pulse for a down beat, a weak pulse for either.
Also, please add a wave pulse pattern, giving an oscillating continuous pulse.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about?

When I used it on my watch and my hand went back yes my watch fell asleep but the metronome did not stop, even if I went back super far it still did not turn of. So I don’t know why you think haptik is so bad, especially if you play tournament golf like me and you can’t have the sound on this is great for a time like that. And also if your watch falls asleep when you go back and it stops playing that probably means your watch needs an update/upgrade, or you just need a new watch. P.S haptik is amazing thank you for it.👍✅

It works great

I’m a new player and trying to play to a click. haptik is perfect. haptik on the I watch allows me to learn the tempo without an audible distraction. This really is amazing.

Hallelujah!

I love the watch always on feature! Ive looked forever. The tactile and visual feedback are great. I don’t need a thing more than this. Easy to use and a great UI too. Great job!

Works Great!

I don’t know what other people are saying- I can turn my watch face off and it still works just fine. Although, they are right about the taps being a little bit light. Maybe add a way to up the force on the haptics.

Also, I couldn’t figure out how to change the tempo on phone. I could do it on my watch just fine but there was a little lock on the tempo for iPhone.

Overall, good app. 5 stars.

Love this app for anxiety. Haptic feedback pressure is adjustable in Apple Watch settings

I love the haptic feedback on my wrist. I got haptik so I could stimulate a pressure point on the inside of my wrist. When it’s stimulated it can reduce headaches, nauseousness and anxiety. The light tapping was just what I needed and a lot cheaper then getting a professional anti anxiety wrist vibrating device. I have haptik running all day, but it’s been running down my battery because it’s been running all day. haptik works in the background as long as haptik is open. The hepatic feedback pressure can be adjusted in the Apple Watch settings. Getting haptik inspired me to get a metronome vibrating watch specifically meant to work only as a metronome so I can have one going until the battery runs out and then turn on haptik on my Apple Watch for the rest of the day because haptik makes me feel calm and greatly reduces my anxiety.
