The concept is great. But how are you still in business? ByRotationRentBuyFashion is absolutely awful. Logs you out of your account constantly. Glitches and closes. Listings of availability are wrong. I have now paid for a rental and it has logged me out and no longer will let me in. I recommend just using HURR because it is actually a functioning site.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I rented a dress from here for 10 days (I planned to wear it on my trip to Paris). I requested the dress to arrive the day before my evening flight with the hopes that even if there were some shipping issues that it would arrive before I left for the airport the following afternoon. I received the dress the day after I left for my trip (2 days later than I paid for and requested). I requested to rent the dress about 2 weeks prior, so there really shouldn’t have been a delay. Anyway, when I finally got the dress I was out of the country and was told by Fia vis customer service for By Rotation that I had to return the dress within 24 hours of receiving it to get a full refund. I had to scramble to have my brother obtain the dress from my house and ship it out the next day. They also said that postage would be refunded. Then when I sent them the receipt via email they said it’s the renters responsibility to cover postage regardless of if they wear the rental or not! What a rip off! So I essentially spent $20 for nothing to ship the dress back and wasted my brothers time on top of it. I only paid about $50 for the rental, so it’s a bit crazy that I then spent about half of the amount on postage on a dress that I never physically seen.

This company is so disorganized- they need to get their priorities in order because in no world should the renter be responsible for postage on an item they never got to wear. I will never rent via ByRotationRentBuyFashion again - just save your money and use a valid site like Rent the Runway or buy the dress discounted via Depop.

This company is one of the most disorganized companies I’ve ever worked with. They will not communicate properly, ship your packages to the wrong location, and then deny you refunds for their disorganization. This may work better in the UK, but the US arm is a disaster. Look elsewhere.

The first rental I used ByRotationRentBuyFashion for ended in the dress being stolen. I submitted multiple requests to reach customer support and all messages were ignored. The customer service team does not respond in 72 hours as they claim. They actually will never respond. There is zero protection for lenders and renters are free to steal rented items with no consequence

This platform DOES NOT protect the lenders. By rotation collects a big rental fee on each transaction but when it comes to protect the lenders they just let them walk away. If you’re afraid or hesitant of using ByRotationRentBuyFashion to rent your items please be aware nothing will be done on their end to recover your item physically or monetarily. In addition, customer service is really bad and doesn’t get back to you in 3 days.

Let me start by saying, I was actually really excited about ByRotationRentBuyFashion. Most of Rent the runways pieces are just a tad too old for me, but I’m getting wedding invitations every week. However, I should have recognized that I continue to reside in the unending purgatory that is being a size 8. When I filtered for my size, I was only offered around 500 options for clothing. Most were largely lackluster and way off season. Checked the size 2, just for fun. They had 3000 options. That means I was presented around 15% of the options a size 2 was. I understand the influencer community where they are sourcing pieces from is fairly homogenous size-wise but this is somewhat egregious. Instant delete!

Great concept of an app but needs some serious work. Mostly a note for the developers and PMs.

My first, and biggest issue is you can only review someone who follows through with the rental so if someone backs out last minute or stops responding you can’t leave them a review. For example if someone has 10 unfulfilled orders and refund requests but 3 filled, with 5 stars….that person has a rating of 5 stars because the unfilled/refund requests aren’t able to rate someone.

Additionally, the search feature needs some tweaking. For some reason it resorts back to your last search instead of your current one which means you essentially have to search for something twice before it pops up. When it does pop up the results aren’t always relevant.

Finally, the pricing is a little confusing, it says “rent for $5 a day” then for 3 days it’s $50+. There needs to either be an adjustment that breaks up the fees over the rental days and includes that in the daily pricing OR don’t give the daily price and just give the total price. It feels a bit like false advertising.

I love the concept and look forward to using it when it has been a little more fine tuned.

I was blown away by the inventory and customer service in the NY office. It was such fun having my closet grow, and Grace in NY made it a smooth experience. She even helped select some items for some important work events I had this summer. Her great style and lovely personality made an online app feel like a personal shopper experience. The concept is just what we need in today’s excessive world. Sharing our resources and helping each other feel good about our personal style—will definitely use again and spread the word.

When I stumbled upon ByRotationRentBuyFashion through a friend I fell in love with it! I’ve rented from them a few times now, for a few weddings and work events and everything comes in such great condition and the process is so easy. Not to mention the clothes are absolutely adorable!

What an amazing experience from start to finish! I rented with the NYC options and there are such beautiful things to choose from. The staff are so helpful and have stunning style to assist. The genius behind this is timely when sustainability is so important.
