I love and enjoy reading it as we always had the Deseret News in our home remembering back at least 60 years and the Church News always came on Saturday enclosed in it.
If I read it first and dad couldn’t find it, his response would be, “Go find your own teen magazine to read.” We didn’t have that kind of reading material in our home, the New Era, Friend, and Ensign being the only periodicals permitted besides Time and National Geographic. I very much love the written and printed word in my hands just as I do my scriptures and look forward to my copy of the Church News tucked away into our small town newspaper once a week.
However, I still wished it came on Saturdays before the Sabbath.
Perhaps, this may be a substitute and compromise for what I enjoyed😁♥️
and still remember and cherish.

The news of the world through most outlets is like a roller coaster. There are some uptimes, but it quickly goes downhill. Not that the writings shouldn’t provide the truth. But happenings worldwide of late are disappointing. On the other hand the truth told in the Church News, though there are difficult times- like accident, illness, storms or hurricanes - yet it is carried through to resolution showing that someone cared and helped make it better. Sharing a story about the efforts made is positive and Followup to some level of improvement is helpful to understand the value of effort and closure. I think it helpful to us as individuals in similar circumstances to realize we can make a difference. Thank you.

My great-great grandfather, Stephen Chadwick Perry, was at Joseph’s and Hyrum’s sides as they rode to Carthage. Stephen was on the same arrest warrant with Joseph, Hyrum, and Porter Rockwell. They asked Stephen to go back to take care of his family, and not continue with them to Carthage, because it was important that he protect his family.

Generations later, my daughter is the ER head nurse in a large California hospital, where the first COVID-19 case in California was admitted. She and her 130 workers are today running trials of a treatment for COVID-19 patients. The treatment has been mentioned often by President Trump and Dr. Anthony Fauci of the CDC.

Who knows if Stephen and his offspring were saved back then in order to run these trials of a drug that may save humanity from continuing to suffer from this COVID-19 pandemic?

Where would we be if we didn’t have this at this time. It gives us hope - hope for today, tomorrow and the future. Hope for those who are our brothers and sisters and the children around the world. Hope that comes from those who are guided and directed by our a Father in Heaven who is aware of us who struggle with so much at this time, who reassure us that we can listen and hear Him and His love for us in the silent moments of our tears and our prayers. How blessed we are! How hard it would be if we didn’t have our testimonies of that knowledge. I have often wondered if he too cries for us as we cry for each other and have learned from the death of one I loved that He does.

I am writing this short review as I prepare to begin another blessed day as a senior sister missionary in the Melbourne Australia Mission. As I serve I have had many growing opportunities, especially during this time of Covid. Yes, there have been challenges; yet we know that from challenging times comes growth. There have been times I have felt isolated, however theses have been opportunities to seek the love, support, and guidance of Heavenly Father, Our Savior, and the Holy Ghost.

One of the highlights and strengthening instruments in my life has been the “Church News.” Because of the time difference between Australia and the USA, I would often wake up in the morning to find an uplifting article from the Church in the news, of growth or guidance from our Prophet, President Nelson, on my phone!

Thank you for your inspired, encouraging, and comforting articles to lift and inspire me and all of God’s children around the world.

This review only reflects my feelings of ChurchNews , not the content. While ChurchNews is fairly functional, it is disappointing that the notification feature forces the user to see every news headline someone at Deseret publishing thinks is important. I want to keep the notification feature on in case something important happens (i.e. an Apostle passing away, a temple announcement, a change in church policy, etc.) However, there is no setting to be notified only of important things. Instead, I get notified several times a week about content that isn’t remotely newsworthy. I get that there is content meant for inspiration in Church News, but getting notified for things that aren’t ‘news’ is irritating.

With all the turmoil going on in the world, I receive so much comfort in being able to go to the Church website and read the comforting words of our dear Prophet and so many of the General Authorities who help us stay focused on the path we need to be on. It helps me shut out the craziness of the outside world and draw closer to my Savior where I can feel peace and comfort in knowing everything is in His hands. As long as we “Hear Him”, pray earnestly to our Father in Heaven, and then listen for His divine guidance in our lives, all can be well in our lives!

The Church News has com into our home for 40 some years ever since join the church. Even though we got I a week later by mail into So Cal, it has brought us closer to our whole church family world wide. Now with ChurchNews it’s nice to carry it with me where I go. I can easily share articles on line and encourage others to have ChurchNews. Living far from the Salt Lake area it brings us nearer to news from our world wide Church. I especially enjoy the new layout.

I’ve always enjoyed the Church News in print. ChurchNews takes it to another level. The journalism is prompt, professional, clean, and concise. What a great way to do all we can as Jesus Christ’s Restored Church to encourage appropriate messaging regarding the ongoing Restoration! I’m noticing other, larger media outlets, even on national and world levels, more accurately summarize announcements and stories that are first reported here. This was especially true with the devotional by President Nelson explaining the love and laws of God. THANK YOU!!!

I love my covenants I made at the water of baptism and love you Prophet Russell M Nelson for your leadership, and all the apostles and leaders of all auxiliaries. Definitely the peace I receive whenever I read and listen to the church news are confirmed testimony to me . Thank you for having this site news. Especially this time of uncertainty, the words of God are my foundation. The fast and prayers bring power of heaven down. I can’t find peace and comforting mindset anywhere else but in The church of church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Thank you thank you..

The Church News serves to connect Saints from far away places to the active leadership and doings of the Lord’s Church. We see His arm made bare to the world, and feel a part of what our prayers and offerings afford, such as assistance and relief of sufferings, the spread of the gospel, the fulfillment of prophecy and intent of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I look forward to being so well informed, and rejoice with my brothers and sisters in the family of Doers and Believers of the words of Christ. Many thanks to all who bring us The Church News!

It has been really powerful for me to have a dedicated place on my phone to access Church News content. I am now connecting with good, uplifting information regularly that I likely would have missed otherwise if I needed to go find it on a website or in print. ChurchNews was a good move, Church News. You’ve made your content inestimably more accessible to the people. I’m inspired and blessed by it. Well done!

I just discovered today how timely and in depth the content is. My first interest was to follow up on conference talks. This coverage was incredible with gleaned quotes and concise notes. And then I discovered much MORE coverage of the individual speaker's inspiring activities.

And in the midst of my feasting I was notified of the death of a missionary in Africa just hours before and read of the impact on so many people who now have an opportunity to learn of Christ's love and blessings and peace.

We have been getting church news in the mail which then gets placed aside and sometimes we don’t take the opportunity to pick it up again. Usually there is time waiting and to take that time to read uplifting, mind-expanding and faith-filled stories; what a bonus. I might have previously used the time in a good way but now the opportunity is to spend that time in a great way! Thank you.

I love the Church News App! It it not only keeps me up to date with happenings throughout the world, but the articles are informative and uplifting. Each day, when I see ChurchNews updated, I open it knowing that I will not only learn something new, but that new knowledge will leave me feeling encouraged and part of a bigger whole. This has been so great during the pandemic!!!!

World news can be so negative and can fill you with anxiety. This will fill you with peace. As the pandemic started bringing more and more bad news I would try to read this first. Or when news and world problems get heavy this is a good place to come and fill grounded again and find hope and joy in what is happening around the world.

ChurchNews is wonderful, strongly suggest anyone to get this.
It is a great way to see things that are going on with the world through the view of the Church, and what they are doing to solve the issues. The World can use more good news and ChurchNews inspires users not only to feel apart of the bigger picture, but to feel the urge to be a better neighbor to the world. God Bless!

My mother would subscribe to Church News. When she was finished reading them, she would bring them over to my house so I could read them also. Problem was when she brought them I would have a lot of “catching up” reading and some of the articles where no longer new. I have really enjoyed ChurchNews at my “finger tips” and can easily read when I have a moment! Love this!!

As a member I find ChurchNews great to keep up on current talks, messages buy church leaders. Events they participate in, etc.
This way if you miss a media release, it will appear in church news app. Stories like training couple mission presidents, talks given too them and training by video due to COVID 19, instead of gathering in person. What temples are in what phase of opening due to COVID 19.

Not as user-friendly for me as the hardcopy, but better than nothing…
The print version has so much more. It seems that anything I do on my phone vs having a hard copy of the same leaves me feeling that the phone version is an abbreviated version, perhaps even a summary of the “real” thing.

I grew up along the Wasatch Front and always seemed to have copies of the Church News readily at hand. Since we have moved farther away it has not always easy to find. Now I can access the news articles from my phone easily. Thank you for allowing me to stay connected to this important news articles.

Even though I do not live in Utah, I have read the Deseret News online for years, because of the Church News section. ChurchNews is fantastic! I’m so grateful to have all of the news stories easily accessible in one place. It is clean and easy to navigate and nice to look at. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have really enjoyed having the Church news so readily available. I like to know what is going on with the Church and it’s leaders and this has been a great way to do that. Also, this news is far more positive then any other source.

I enjoy the church news. The news of our leaders helping families and changing people’s lives is inspiring to me. I use many of the articles as inspiration for discuss with family members and at church. There is some good information for church talks.

I love the Church News app! As a ward leader I appreciate having access to any and all direction from the General church leaders. I do have one suggestion, if possible, to be able to mark up an article. Thanks so much for making this available.

First, I am grateful for the technology to receive updates to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints through The Church News quickly as a notification. It is a miracle I love and enjoy very much. The Church News is organized, informative and gives me worldwide coverage. I love it!

I stand amazed at this incredible idea and how easy it is to help others who stand it need, all over the world. Now we can donate and know where it is going and what we chose to be given will be used in accordance with God’s law of charity!

My family and I are constantly on the move in some from or fashion. Church News has given us a way to keep up with the Lord’s Church and y’all about what’s going on as we go throughout our day!

We have subscribed to the printed version of the Church News for decades, and we love it. ChurchNews is just as wonderful or even better. What an uplifting source for updates that make this world a better place.

More than News, it also provides insight, and prospective, a close up view of other members serving the Lord. It bear witness of truth, of living prophets of the Lord, and helps build our testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Church News.

it is important that all countries are aware of the charities given to help them in all aspects of their lives and such a difference something small as a wheelchair can assist in living conditions for the individuals.

Reading about the service, missionary and unifying efforts of my brothers and sisters across the world confirms to me that we are working together to bring about a church and people ready for the promised second coming of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

So thankful to live in a day when the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being made available to all God’s children who will listen to His still small voice within each of us!
