Really great app 👍 It is neatly organized, most items shows the pictures, the ounces and the quantity. I really like how fast everything went, i ordered over 50 items from this smart & final app, and received them the next day! They ask you what time you want your order to be delivered to you and honestly they are very punctual with that time. The person who delivered it to me had it nicely place in the bags on my porch and rang when he was finished, only problem i had was that maybe 4-5 of my items i ordered were not the ones i found inside the bag. Either way, it was nice of them to cancel them out from my order and return that money back to me. Still i would like to return the items that have been replaced from the ones they couldn't get and hopefully get my money back on those.

A suggestion for SmartFinal would be that if the customer ordered one specific thing, then please do not try to find a replacement for it. If you cant find my item then take it out of my cart please :)

Just downloaded and use SmartFinal for my shopping trip today after noticing in the weekly ad that there are now “digital coupons”. You are supposed to be able to add the coupons to your barcode and have them scanned for an addition discount on goods, however, after checking my receipt, not a single one of them worked. It wasn’t that I picked up wrong items because they have the sale item marked in store which I appreciate and the ad is marked for my store so prices should be accurate. 18-ct eggs were supposed to be $ .98, I paid $1.15, Diet Pepsi was supposed to be $1.95, I paid $2.29, avocados were supposed to be $ .69ea, I paid $ .79ea. Chuck roast was supposed to be $4.24/lb, I paid $4.99/lb. It is difficult to look at the receipt and know what you paid because it shows whole dollar savings so until you calculate discounts, you don’t know what you paid. Normally I would’ve asked for an adjustment/refund, but there was only one worker who knew a little about SmartFinal and they were shorthanded so I didn’t want to be the Karen holding up the line. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but if you go through the effort to download their coupons and make a special trip to their store to shop to get these deals, it’s pretty disappointing to not receive them.

I’ve been bamboozled not once but twice by this company with this false promise of “15% off first purchase coupon” I get it, the merchandise is already well priced, but please understand as a buyer my behavior changes based on calculated savings. I get up to your register twice with a full cart the first time I show the cashier my s&f account with this coupon, web version, & I’m told oh it has to be SmartFinal , I’m not a jerk who holds up lines trying to download apps so I said oh never mind then. So this next time I’m ready I’ve downloaded your slow app double checked my coupons are clipped barcode for my account exists, I get up to the register, your app “freezes” opens but will not show my barcode. It would be no big deal, tech issues happen, if it weren’t for the fact the only reason I made the purchases I made was with that coupon in mind. I’m not going back you can keep your fake discounts to lure potential new customers in, you fooled me twice and I’m salty enough now to avoid this business like the plague. Deleting the shady app!

SmartFinal allows you to go through the order process but on completion of your order, a message pops up and says “a problem has occurred try back later.” While an order is NOT produced, SmartFinal puts the HOLD ON YOUR ACCOUNT. So I went back later, so got 2 holds on my bank account. Not sure what “later” means. I dealt with Victor in Smart & Final “suppor”. In all the time I spent with him telling him about the bogus debits did he give me any information on how to process an order for delivery with Smart and Final. Nor did he say that app would be removed. He had no customer education whatsoever. Maybe he doesn’t work for Smart and Final. Surely he would have told me. I see SmartFinal is still available to download. Maybe they just want to continue irritating the customers

I have downloaded the Aldi app which I will use for grocery delivery. I apologize if this is a duplicate (or almost) review but I was pretty upset. Why don’t they educate their customers.?

I downloaded SmartFinal because the checkers said I would save money. There is a big push for S&F to have customers download SmartFinal . Most other stores identify the amount of the item to be saved (like Albertsons). Not SmartFinal. The time says “save $”. Yes, the sticker on the item shows you the price. So, to ensure that you have the correct price you have to take the cost of the item and deduct the money you save on SmartFinal to get the net price that is listed in the sticker.

It’s too much of a headache and there is a lot of friction. Most floor employees know absolutely nothing about SmartFinal . It appears the disorganization of SmartFinal and the sticker on the shelf as well as the employees’ lack of knowledge pertaining to SmartFinal is fueling confusion with customers and staff alike.

Yesterday, I downloaded digital coupons and was ready to go to the store; come to find out that I couldn’t open up anything on SmartFinal; kept getting error message saying app is not supported, but I went to SmartFinal Store and there isn’t any new version; I decided to delete SmartFinal and re-install but I’m getting the same error…I know if I go to the store, I won’t get the sale price because my app doesn’t have the digital coupons and I can’t even get into anything on SmartFinal ; why would you put out an app that has so many issues??? You will lose customers if you advertise digital coupons and the scan in the newspaper doesn’t work and SmartFinal doesn’t work right either

Every other grocery store digital coupon service I belong to, after clipping the coupon on SmartFinal , it is automatically added to my account so when I check out the savings are automatically given at checkout. Not so with SmartFinal. They make you go through the extra step of, at the cashier, you have to show your phone to the cashier and have the cashier scan the barcode that appears on your phone. Great: one more chance to drop and break my phone, lose my phone, have my phone stolen etc. etc. etc. Don’t make us jump through burning hoops of fire just to save a buck or two. Ditch SmartFinal and just put the savings on weekly ad coupons in store.

As other users have pointed out discounts don’t seem to match up with price you pay? Worked great first time I purchased in store. This time it did not say anything about having to purchase 2 to get the Mars candy pack pricing on app or in store. Also purchased 3 individual salads for discounted price from 4.49 to 3.59 each yet no discount shown. Other stores coupons are easy and follow through to purchase. Will be thinking about this experience as I really like Smart and Final but I figure I lost about $15 in savings!

I couldn’t get SmartFinal to work on my phone but it worked on my laptop. Still not worth using it because the store itself has no process in place for staff to follow. I tried it three times and the experience was different every time. The employees were confused and each time I went to pickup my order they never asked where I was parked, I had to chase them down lol. There’s no designated parking space for pickups. One time they didn’t even bother to bag my grocery’s. Another time I had to go inside and they couldn’t find my grocery’s. Easier to just go inside and do the shopping myself.

The whole reason I have SmartFinal is so I can see the weekly ads. They have not been loading for a while now. I tried deleting and reinstalling SmartFinal with no luck. Please fix!

I had to download SmartFinal 2 times to get it on my iPhone to work. There are not a ton of coupons, but the ones there are good. Out of the 5 things I clipped to my account 2 did not ring up at the register for a discount. The beer didn’t ring up 4.00 off and the Windex didn’t receive 50 cents off. The clerk added the beer discount for me. After checking the receipt I saw I didn’t get the other discount.

Don’t Shop at smart and final they have a new app and they don’t even know how do use it in fact I didn’t even know they had two apps one for business and one for store. We got nothing we got no help they did not honor any of the coupons it’s the worst and the checkers or even worse. You go out of there if you buy anything you’re paying full price don’t be taken by this so called extra sale ad with coupon specially digital. Don’t shop there anymore there’s no help and they don’t care

I spent an hour loading my cart on the website, then the delivery time I selected disappeared, and no times were available for months! Tried the website this morning and it would not accept my login. I went to SmartFinal which has my info. When trying to check out, SmartFinal will not load my address so I cannot complete my transaction. Very frustrating! Tried Instacart, but there’s a much smaller list if available items to choose from. No delivery times available and the delivery store is 35 miles from my house.

Would give -5 stars if I could. Both SmartFinal & website have a lot of issues. You cannot login even if you put your password in correctly a thousand times.

UPDATE: I was successful in placing an order, received an email confirmation, and a soft charge on my CC for $1.01. My groceries were NOT DELIVERED!!! I called the store it would be picked up from to find out what happened and they told me they do not process online orders and that all orders must be submitted through Instacart. I called instacart and cannot speak to anyone.

No one working in the checkstand could help It was really busy so I just removed all groc that were on sale but I refused buying all these on sale items that did not count sale prices sent by SmartFinal I had to go to another store to complete my shopping and spent another $80 shopping Not the convenience I planned on.

They introduce an app with “digital coupons”. Only, if you use iOS devices, SmartFinal CRASHES. It keeps popping up a dialog box that says, “Something went wrong! Please download the latest version of SmartFinal ”. Ridiculous to release an app that doesn’t work and make iOS users pay higher prices because they can’t use the digital coupons. Very amateurish for a large corporation.

The UI in SmartFinal is quite poor. It has you put in the same information several times in the checkout process, despite it being in my profile already. There is no support for auto fill either.

Also does not have any Apple Pay/Apple Wallet support.

This is a great shame as this is our preferred grocery store for much of our shopping needs.

I thought the Vons app was bad until I tried this one. Had issues just trying to set up the account. Clipped several digital coupons but can’t find them within SmartFinal . I like to save $, but my time is precious. I’ll give it a shot the next time I shop, but if it doesn’t work I’ll delete it.

I can’t do anything with SmartFinal because it says I must download a new version. I can’t even find what version this is and cannot find anywhere to download a new version. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same error message.

How did this ever rank 2 stars? Registered, added coupons, went to the store and unlike every other grocery store where you input your phone number, this one you have to show SmartFinal on your phone which I didn’t have. I left empty handed and won’t be back.

There are a lot of ease-of-use and usability problems with SmartFinal . My pet peeve is that item descriptions both in the online shopping function and weekly ad function do not include the size of the package. For instance, can’t tell if a package of berries is 5, 16, 18, or 32 oz.

My order is constantly being cancelled. There is little to no communication. I on my had one missing item and my order cancelled. I asked why it was and customer service is the worst. I received a messge staing I’m almost done the. 5 minutes l received a canceled order. Awful service no communication.

SmartFinal is extremely glitch-y and slow in comparison to all of my other grocery store apps. I’m extremely disappointed because smart and final has some great deals.

This is a horribly designed app as many things are extremely hard to find. The worst part however is they provide no way of tipping your drivers electronically! Avoid SmartFinal, and use whatever delivery company is your favorite. Shipt and Instacart both go to S&F.

I can sign onto the smart and final website and order deliveries via my phone browser but not the phone app. Same account information but won’t even let me reset the password via SmartFinal .

I went though all the way to checkout the program showed no delivery time available.
Event on computer try login on internet same thing .

I too can’t ever get SmartFinal to open on my phone! I have to search the website online to browse items. SmartFinal is not worth downloading!

The search function doesn’t work, the FAQs takes you to a page to select a store. SmartFinal is really poorly developed and I doubt it If QA did any testing on SmartFinal .

If you have the balls to actually look at products,IF you are so stupid to actually look at one item, WHEN YOU ARE DONE, APP GOES BACK TO VERY FIRST ITEM ON LIST.
FIX IT.
