Disappointed in the ability to protect and resolve fraud

I’m not very happy right now. Yesterday my account was Wiped out. Today I’m still broke. I can’t take care of other bills, medical needs, etc. this app can’t tell me squat and say I have to wait Ten days at a min. That’s fine with me but who will tell my landlords, my body/medications ratio, my credit agencies/ oh and my families stomachs? Shall I let the kids know they won’t be eating for 10 ten days minimum… or do you guys do that? And please do not respond to this as if you’re going to help and so everyone can see it. I’ve already asked you. And. Have not been given a rational answer
You just canceled a card that Wasn’t missing or stolenz some apparently Made one of their cards! And they can not tell the difference??? Omg is just insane sounding !!!!!! A simple uuid could fix that. !

So after hours of phone calls I get a response saying they have no way of telling me where my money went all I asked for was where they blame the other bank which never received it I just want to know where the hell my $2000 went they give you generalized answers and no solving of the issue it’s been a week already with my money no where to be found indi does not give you the I formation needed to verify account and routing numbers of an ach transfer and apparently they can’t tell you where they sent it either smh so who is responsible for my money if no one has it but I initiated the transfer two out of four deposits went thru help

Stay away...

Virtually impossible to maintain detailed accounting. Not all transactions reflected in app (according to customer service). No real way to verify what they claim. Horrible customer service. Impossible to export transaction details and it takes months, along with several phone calls to gain access to statements plus a $2 fee per statement (their website states the first statement request is free- not the case). No cash back rewards. Absolutely not ideal for any business nor freelancer, especially when it comes to providing financial statements. The only feature this app has going for it is the debit card design.

Try Novo instead.

this app proceeded to close my account due to a direct deposit and claimed it suspicious activity? I had never used my card and never received money on it. Then I was asked to provide proof of identification. Even though I suspected it to be some type of scam I uploaded my Identification and still no progress and no clear reason why my account had unusual activity. I spoke with Bridgette in customer service who looked at my account and said there’s no reason for it to be closed. For a 1,200 direct deposit? It’s my unemployment for crying out loud. Terrible service, terrible bank. 0-10 I would never recommend.

SO FAR SO GOOD...

The only thing that makes it a little hard for me to use and work with is that the transaction history are not showing up in real time. I do understand that it’s a fairly new app, and being an artist i have a convenient way to access my hard-earned money. Keep it up!!

Worst bank ever Do not bank with Indi

As the title says, don’t bank with them. A friend recommended them to me and I liked them because they’re made for independent workers, but literally the first week after I got the card, I deposited some money and my account was closed. Had to wait almost a MONTH to get it back in a form of check and I needed to pay bills so bad. I had to literally get in debit. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS BANK.

Lackadaisical approach to granting access to my own funds...

I’ve only had my card for 5 days and was pretty frustrated with this app before it arrived. (Been waiting to receive a card for a month)I funded my account on a MONDAY but could not access my funds until Saturday when my card arrived. Then after trying to order furniture for my new home, my card was declined. The salesperson suggested calling this app and asking them to increase my spending limit just to allow this transaction. I remembered having to do this with Bank of America and Wells Fargo in the past while making a purchase at the Apple Store. This was not an issue at all. But, this app refused. Since I am making my purchase online because of COVID19 there is no option to split the payments over a few days or between a few cards. Which left me with not being able to make a purchase at all because buying the items individually would not afford me the package discount. The next day, the furniture I chose was sold out. So I’m extremely annoyed that this app would not increased the amount I’m allowed to spend of MY OWN FUNDS and has yet again denied me access to MY OWN FUNDS. Their daily debit card spending limit of $2,500 does not seem practical considering this is supposedly a BUSINESS ACCOUNT and we have several expenses monthly that are over the spending limit. When I stated this to the this app Representative and gave an example that questioned how I would even be able to pay rent considering I live in California and pay over $4,000 per month. No solution was offered. He only kept repeating that the daily limit was $2,500. I couldn’t believe there was no attempt to even suggest an alternative or even an attempt made to see if it was even possible to make exceptions for the daily spending limit based on certain circumstances. Needless to say...I will be switching banks ASAP!!!

***UPDATE****Hands down THE Worst App & Business Account

From 9pm to 1:30am I waited in hold on three different phones (that were hung up around 2 hours and 45 minutes of waiting respectively) only to find that my account was frozen due to an order for furniture that I placed was canceled because the items were out of stock so the merchant issued a refund back to my account. this app/PNC Bank’s system wanted the refund matched up with the original transaction...which was done while I was on hold again....the process from when the representative answered until the end of the call took less than 5 minutes....yet I was on hold for over 5 and a half hours!!! All because someone wanted to give back $2,000 of my money. They froze my entire account because of this. No warning...leaving me stranded if I had had no cash to buy food or gas. And all I receive is a weak rehearsed emotionless apology. I could understand if someone was trying to take $2,000...but no it was a freaking REFUND so they flagged it for security verification...made me wait 5 and a half hours for a security representative to remove the security freeze in less than 5 minutes. Freaking ridiculous!!! Just avoid this app/PNC Bank. Hell at this point I’m almost willing to pay people $5 NOT TO JOIN!!! Geeeeezzzzzssss...

***UPDATE***
I have now been on hold for 2 hours, 43 minutes and 32 seconds waiting for a representative from the this app/PNC Bank security department to verify me and unfreeze my card. RIDICULOUS!!! I’m also on hold on two other phones just to see which is answered first. The second phone I’ve waited 1 hour and 56 minutes. The third phone 22 minutes and chose the option of reporting my card lost to see if they answered faster.

I’ve had nothing but issue after issue with this app/PNC. As I type this I am on hold for the third time in the last two hours waiting for security review to unfreeze my card...that I haven’t even used for the past two days. I’ve been in hold this time so far for 30 mins and been transferred twice (once to some department that isn’t even part of PNC/this app somehow). It’s a good thing I’m not stuck at a gas station. Since I discovered that this app/PNC would act as “Mom & Dad” determining how much of my OWN money I am able to spend from my BUSINESS account daily, I’ve been trying to slowly withdraw and move my money back to Bank of America....where there is no daily spending limit. Every other day my card is now being froze and I have to go through this 2-3 hour period of verification for my card to become I frozen. Which by this time it’s too late for me to withdraw from the ATM before the next day. In short this banking experience has been horrible. By far the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. They have a nonchalant attitude towards assisting their customers and simply just say “no”. They have made claims that a supervisor would contact me regarding my concerns on several occasions, yet no one has ever called. They refuse to increase the daily spending limit of $2,500. They refuse to increase the daily wire transfer amount of $1,000. They refuse to increase the ATM withdrawal amount of $500. BUT!!!! When it came down to funding my account they had NO OBJECTION to accepting my transfer of $44,000 when their limit is normally $10,000. They have no issue bending the rules when it’s in their favor. But when I found all of this out and asked about closing out my account, they told me that they could close it and mail me a check for the balance remaining in my account and this whole process would take approximately 30 DAYS!!!! 30 days without any access to the portion of my business funds that they have. So I’m canceled all of my wires from my other bank and not depositing any additional funds. But now I am being punished apparently by this app/PNC as they freeze my account every other day preventing me from transferring and/or withdrawing and/or making any purchases. I’m certain this is breaking few rules and as soon as I’m off of this now 40 mins phone call I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, FTC and all other governing authorities. Trust me no exaggerations. Feel free to contact me and I will provide detailed evidence of my experience with this app/PNC. Sadly, I have only had this account since May 16, 2020 and didn’t receive my debit card until June 19, 2020. But it has felt like a lifetime of irritation. 45 mins on hold after being on hold twice before this same very night for over 20 mins each time. Trust me...just don’t sign up for this torture. Avoid this app Bank/PNC Bank and save yourself the worst banking experience ever imagined.

I don't recommend INDI Bank card because I called and ordered a replacement card sent to me by paying $25 express shipping which was on February 23, 2023 to arrive by February 28, 2023 waiting patiently. The woman representative who I spoke with on the phone let me know that it's was going to be arriving on the 28th of February. Now I called yesterday and they said no the representative is wrong it should be the March 1, 2023. Fast forward to today March 2, 2023 and the escalation team should now called me back 3 - 5 business days just so I can get the $25 express shipping refund back to me. Load of doo doo. I don't recommend this bank card for jobblers or your tax return refund or any jobs doing business with this so-called company.

I used indi to receive my second draw ppp loan in June. I was instantly locked becauSe of the amount of deposits even tho I contacted them on several occasions to notify of deposits to which the response was its ok not a problem. I was finally released to then be locked again the same day to be unlocked to then back to being locked again for the 3rd time. I havent been able to bring my business up because. I have no access to the loan i took for that reason!!! Ive had to cancel events and clients costing me anywhere from 500 to i 1500 per event cancellation. Locked because I updated my phone number!! For a god damn phone number. Covid took a toll and indi Is finishing me off. Help!!
