I’ve been installing SMA inverters for years and this newest iteration (Smart Energy) with SMA360 is pathetic. We’re having to wast half a day commissioning every grid-tied inverter because they prematurely released these products. Go with a different brand! SMA has abandoned the Residential market.
doesn’t follow any of the videos or installation guides, requires an account to use but doesn’t have a way to sign up for one. ridiculously broken app.
I have commissioned a few inverters with SMA360 and it’s very easy and safes a lot of time. Everything works fine. Couldn’t be better.
Commission with SBSE improved, reducing WiFi connection issues, documentation for many generations of prior inverters easy to access and quick view of Sunny Portal plant performance. QR code scan can even work with older inverters to access UI without having to enter hard to read WiFi passwords. Finally a full featured installer support app!
