4.1 out of 5

UI is simply awful

2024-04-10

Where do I start? It feels like this is a beta version which still has to get updated to the current type of user interface that you see on many apps. What would be a nice touch is an icon or picture of the food item once it’s selected. This is a small, but basic thing on many of the food tracking apps out there today.
1. MyPTHub doesn’t automatically save so if you’re not careful you’ll have to start over after you’ve entered in your info. Happened to me twice.
2. The units of measure is restrictive. For example, once you have found your food item there is a drop-down list for measurement and typically there is only one choice. Therefore you have to adjust your serving amount to get the correct caloric count. The serving size for special K cereal, per the box, is 1 1/3 cups. I had only had 1 cup. Since I could not adjust the serving size to 1 cup, I had to guess the serving amount and reduced the serving amount from 1 to .80 to get the adjusted calorie count.
3. It’s great that there is barcode scanning capability, but he doesn’t find a lot of items. It couldn’t find the fresh blueberries or the peaches, both which I found on the Lose It app.

I’m using this because my trainer uses it and asked me to track it this way so they can easily have the visibility to my food. I’m going to give this a week before I decide if I can continue with it or not.

This app is awful for the trainer side

2024-05-04

I have reached out to their support for help because there are several glitches that make the trainer’s job harder and client experience worse. The functions on the website need to be the same as MyPTHub . I don’t care how much you guys tell me “yes, you can duplicate groups” - if it doesn’t work on your website and I can’t figure it out, it makes sense to explain how to do said action to the customer. Also, when I duplicate a group and then edit that work out separately- it edits the original group and those related to it. I have 40 clients - I need to be able to edit templates I made to their needs without it effecting my other clients. I would reach out to support but they’ve never helped me or my team members with our issues and concerns since the update.

Lots of Bugs / Glitches

2024-09-03

This is a UK based company. MyPTHub had lots of potential but presently there are many bugs and glitches. Time stamp is in 24 hours, calendar date is in UK format, client end dates are marked as invalid so compliance doesn’t register. Clients workout programs are not tracked because of this. Creating programs is very time consuming. Sorting exercises and finding exercises takes a tremendous amount of time. They don’t have a cardio search for simple basic exercises you need to know the names. For example if you search for jumping Jacks it will not show because they call them star jumps. If you add a notes to an exercise the note doesn’t save in history. Hopefully they will improve the functionality and glitches that I’ve listed. Plus improve adding sessions to the calendar and improving recurring payments for clients and allow clients to schedule sessions. I’m going to jump ship and try out Trainerize. MyPTHub has too many issues. ** Buyer Beware **

This app is garbage

2024-09-03

I hate using MyPTHub and actively dread anytime I have to. The wonderful coach I work with uses My PT Hub to schedule and organize workouts and programs, as well as to pay her for working with her. If there was any other way to do it, I would. The times zones are never correct. It automatically changed my birthday for some reason. The calendar never displays properly on my phone. Currently I’m trying to buy a pass for my next class and there’s no way to let me do it. The option is just not there, though it used to be. Instead of just telling me I don’t have a pass, why not put the option to buy a pass right there on the screen instead of sending my on a fruitless hunt through this wonky app? Again, I use this because it’s what my trainer uses. But if I had a choice, I’d delete it from my phone and never think of it again.

The app looks great….but…

2024-04-27

I like the appearance of MyPTHub and the functions are easy to find. My problem is a couple of different issues.
One, it only pops the workout on my Apple Watch so I don’t need a phone. That’s it. Doesn’t start the fitness tracker to keep track of my stats or anything. To do that I have to start that myself, not biggie but sometimes I forget and boom I am halfway through my workout with nothing tracked. Other apps will automatically start that.
Second issue, if I check chat from my trainer it stops the timer and acts like I quit the workout and have to go back to the hub and restart it.
Third, granted MyPTHub tracks your food intake for you and even has the spot where the trainer puts your goals. It never tracks your meals on that screen even though it looks like it should. So in the mean time I have to switch between different screens and compare my goals with my actual intake.
My last one for today is, I have submitted issues through MyPTHub with the concerns of my issue. No response.
Now for some positive stuff. I do really like the ease of communication between myself and the Coach. MyPTHub makes it easy if I am not in a workout.
It also looks very very clean and I do like that.

They have some stuff that needs improvement but I have seen some upgrades lately that show they are working on improvements.

Ok. big room for improvement

2024-07-28

The feature set on MyPTHub is good. I can do what I want for the most part.

For an app I use almost every day the UX is AWFUL. I bet the coders don't use MyPTHub for their workouts. It doesn't behave the way I expect when I want to start a workout or use the calendar. I feel like it is hiding information unnecessarily a lot of the time or making me work to choose the options I want. It's not clear how a workout program relates to specific workouts either. I can't seem to filter that information and old workouts clutter the view.

In a workout it will randomly drop out of the workout sometimes dumping all my progress. This is extremely frustrating.

It's cool that a lot of videos are available demonstrating exercises. However almost all those videos have terrible loud music that adds nothing and forces me to stop my workout music. Its so jarring I dread having to watch these videos. MyPTHub should NEVER stop my workout music. At the most just blend it like Instagram would . Preferably if there is no need for audio, just leave it silent!

Summary: basic functionality is there but it misses a lot of polish. These small bumps add up quickly when you use MyPTHub a lot. Please hire a UX designer.

Love the product, app is difficult to use

2024-04-27

Great product, however, MyPTHub is not user friendly. It would be nice if you could quickly access the items you use often for example:

- there should be a way in the log nutrition to save items that you frequently eat so you don’t have to search for them every time.
- the dashboard is very confusing and the icons and names don’t allow you to quickly get to where you need to be.
- it would be nice if there was a dashboard that allowed you to access the items you need regularly in one click. For example, it would be great if you could see your current grocery list and next weeks grocery list quickly and easily.

PTHub

2024-07-28

Initially, I had a positive experience with MyPTHub , but now that I've integrated all my clients, I feel like it's stagnated while other apps have continued to improve. One major issue I have is that I can't assign a form from my mobile app; it has to be done on a desktop.

Moreover, there are numerous glitches in the program editing that often prevent me from adjusting one client's weights if it's a workout applied to multiple clients' programs. This leads to a cluttered and chaotic app because I have to create duplicates of workouts with different names to distinguish them since there's no date created or detailed markings to differentiate between them.

Another frustrating aspect is that if a client switches between apps while logging their workout, it exits them out of the workout they were on and forces them to start their log entries all over again.

Overall an okay app

2024-04-10

Overall I think MyPTHub is okay. The user experience is a little wonky and takes some time to get used to the UI and how to get around. It can get buggy sometimes during certain portions such as when I am trying to adjust the numbers on a workout. I will get stuck on the numpad and am unable to get out unless I force quit MyPTHub . It gives me wrong notifications as well for habits where it will tell me I haven’t tracked any of my habits yet I know I have and you can tell when you go into MyPTHub .

The chat feature is nice and the easiest part to navigate. Everything else is fine once you figure out how to navigate to the parts you need to There isn’t many issues besides the ones I described above.

Not bad but could be better

2024-04-10

I like everything is all in one place but you shouldn’t have to go into programs for it to log your workout. It should be able to do it from the Home Screen or wherever you are at in MyPTHub . What needs the most work is either better app integrations (I hate/loathe MFP) or if you are going to use MyPTHub there needs to be a better way to log food. You can’t edit based on grams, it doesn’t give each meal breakdown in macros and it doesn’t auto save when you add to each meal. You have to save it every time or risk losing it. Take a page from the my macros app or heck integrate with them. Their app is awesome. Do better for trainers but also for those of us who are trying to work on the fitness and health!

Not the best but will do for now

2024-07-02

When you are working out and recording each exercise that you do, make sure you don't hit the back button or that your phone doesn't shut down from that screen, you lose everything that you were recording during your work out. The other problem is if you miss one of the days, it's not like you can make up that day on the following day, you completely skip that days workout. That means if you had chest day on Wednesday, but had an emergency and couldn't show up to the gym on Wednesday, there is no way to regain that work out. You have to wait till next week, Lord forbid you miss that work out again. That would be two weeks straight without working out your chest.

So as long as you can utilize this consistently every day without missing a workout, and be sure not to leave that page while your recording what you are doing, then all is well. I would prefer to find an app that corrected these two issues.

It’s okay, but improving.

2024-06-03

Entering and searching your meals is easy and quick. Barcode scanner is great too. Very rare to not find a food.

The photo upload process is easy, and reminders are very helpful too.

Issues:

Doubling your assigned program meals (ex. Showing the same meal 3 times for breakfast lunch and dinner)

Not saving when you hit save. “…we dropped the ball…” was entertaining at first, but now is a nuisance when it happens daily.

Can’t print your shopping list from MyPTHub , and the desktop version doesn’t show your shopping list at all. You have to manually write down your own list based on the meals themselves. Not much time savings to gain in these areas.

Shopping list needs to be consolidated. I don’t need 3 requests for the same turkey in varying quantities. One item with total amount is much more helpful.

Not loading the program consistently.

Yes there’s a lot of work to be done, but MyPTHub is helping achieve my goals. I just hope for better functionality.

Feedback

2024-07-02

Constructive feedback regarding end-user interaction (I’m working with my trainer on nutrition, and he uses this platform)…
There are some glitches or missing components that make it challenging: 1) when I hold down on a food item that’s included in a meal, I cannot see the macros for that food in MyPTHub . The only way to view specific food macros is through the desktop version. 2) the grocery list is not sorted into produce, pantry, meat, etc. Nor can I figure out how to export or print the grocery list. This makes shopping challenging and frustrating. 3) when I print the daily meals with all ingredients, some of the ingredients get cut off the bottom of the page, and there’s not a way to print the recipe/assembly instructions.
All of this is stuff I’ll figure out work around for as I get more comfortable w the platform, but working in MyPTHub version, desktop version, and printed documents is cumbersome and not efficient.

Good but needs more attention and frequent updates

2024-06-03

When trying to log in my number of reps I often have to select the box I’m trying o log into. The box I selects itself or selects a different box by itself. That’s annoying. MyPTHub is slow after I’ve checked a box. When I’m adding my weight for a set add the weight I added for the first box to the remaining reps. That would save a lot of time. The calendar doesn’t always save your workouts. You have to keep in mind what workouts you did last time you worked out and what day you worked out. Otherwise the video and description for form are great and very informative. Thanks.

Clunky

2024-06-03

It’s gotta lot of bells and whistles but the UX is not fun when you have to constantly retype things. Things on the workout disappear until you go to another category then they reappear. Everyone calls it a push-up btw not a “press up.” I want so bad for MyPTHub to be better and it’s made some improvements over b the past 6 months or so, so that’s very promising, but in my opinion there isn’t much that compares to this, but it’s still about $15 overpriced per month until they fix the enormous amount of glitches. Update 9/28... the fact that you can’t select multiple exercises when creating a workout is a pain. They’re there. You can select them. They just don’t get transferred to the current workout screen. Kinda tedious if you want to have any kind of creativity with your program.

Nutrition

2024-03-21

1.On the nutrition aspect. Having to click save log when I have already selected the food I wanted to add or scanned my product is burdensome. 2 have to save twice or else everything I have loggged deletes is stressful.

2. would be nice to have it automatically open to log without having to select if I want to manually log or use a meal plan. The option to use a meal plan could be a drop down on the side of (breakfast/lunch/dinner) instead of when I initiially opepn to log my food. note: similar to cronometer

Very well put together

2024-09-03

MyPTHub has been honestly amazing I did some strong research before I chose and I’m glad I chose this one !!

Being able to set up packages from my desktop and share them through my mobile device to new clients has been a lifesaver for billing. Navigation through MyPTHub is honestly pretty self-explanatory but if you get a little lost, the help team is very efficient at getting back to you.

There’s so many great things about MyPTHub that honestly it’s hard to find something to dislike it for ….but that’s being said I wish there was more exercises to choose from Yes, it does have the availability to upload Custom exercises, but that is very time consuming! But the great thing about MyPTHub is that they are still updating it!!

Awesome app!

2024-05-04

Love all the different features and that my trainer and I can see everything/communicate via MyPTHub . I like being able to search/scan barcodes for nutrition. Videos on workout moves are nice if you need to check form. I like being able to check off the boxes for each set as I go through a workout. My only thing I would change is being able to add my own food item without scanning a barcode. (There may be a way to do that, I just haven’t figured it out yet.)

Eat Well, Get Fit

2024-03-21

PT Lee is a game changer for fitness, wellness and your relationship with food. It’s not just a couple workout plans and a bogus “diet”. He educates you on the how and why your body changes in relation to what goes in and what you’re putting into your workouts. There are no cheat foods, there are no “points”, and there are no coincidentally adjacent charges for things like mediocre pre-made TV dinners. It’s just real feedback to educate you on what works (and the science of why). There are no gimmicks... no tricks... no easy answers to fitness, but working with PT Lee makes long term goals achievable and even fun. The community he has built of fellow judgement-free, normal people, just trying to live their best lives is very encouraging and being a part of something helps keep me accountable. 10/10 would recommend PT Lee and MyPTHub.

Eat well, learn to stay fit

2024-02-15

My PT Demi has taught me about macros and calories MyPTHub helps to log food and shows you what foods are better than others. Workouts have great videos “how to” show you especially if you have never done them before. I am using this with another app to help me get back to healthy and teaching me to live better and get back to healthy and fit without fad diets, points, restrictive diets and plans that work with food allergies or other foods unable to eat. Pretty easy to use but some food are not in but easy to add. Easy to navigate once you learn where everything is on MyPTHub .

ENZYK

2024-09-03

I'm a huge fan of the ENZYK app! It makes it easy to track my nutrition, progress photos, measurements, and daily goals. My coach is always available to answer my questions and support me through text or video chat. The workouts are personalized for me and my sport, with detailed instructions and videos to guide me every step of the way. My coach keeps me motivated by regularly checking in and keeping me on track. It's like having an elite athletic development coach in your pocket, 24/7. Highly recommend it if you're serious about your sport!

Great app for trainers ! Rating of 4.5 out of 5

2024-02-01

Great app, lots of great features , love the lay out and tons of exercises and programs to choose from. The only things I would like to see more of is the gender you use for exercises geared toward women . For example , the glute workout for women uses a male to demonstrate exercises as do some of the other programs designed for women! Lastly MyPTHub does crash sometime in the middle of designing a routine! Other than those 2 items MyPTHub is worth every penny ! Keep up the good work and hope to see more features added in the future!
