From bad to worse

2022-05-25

UPDATE: I still hate StriveHub. Not only can I not use biometrics on my newer iPhone 11 ( so I keep using my iPhone 6), but now I can’t see both of my “care plans”. I can only see the new one. I have to go online to see the other! The company who had StriveHub developed really doesn’t care about ease of use!

I was delighted to find out my physical therapist/personal trainer could provide me with an app to use for my daily workouts. I was disappointed in StriveHub ’s lack of flexibility. There’s no way to modify or shift exercises in their order, or daily schedule. I was annoyed by the inability to check off my exercises unless I logged out and back into StriveHub . I only found this out, by multiple trial and error. Finally, when I tried to login today, there was no notification as to why StriveHub would not work. After deleting StriveHub , reinstalling StriveHub , trying another device, and cycling my phone, I tried to login online. That’s where I found a notice that they’re working on the development side. It would’ve been nice to receive a notification.

Not worth even cursing

2022-06-26

It shows you what you need to do and does that reasonably well but I found no way to show that I’ve done since during the day how many I’ve done and it won’t let me once I have Mark that I’ve done one I can’t mark it again everFor that day. It’s poorly thought through difficult to use and offers no clues as to how to get it to do what you want. Don’t bother with it unless somebody is insisting that you use it under threat of suit if you don’t

Not good for what it needs to do

2022-07-27

It’s very glitchy. I have my list of exercises from my PT, but it doesn’t consistently allow me to check them off. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it checks them all, or even a few. Not intuitive. This is not a helpful app.

Mark Complete Issue

2022-08-28

Unfortunately, since the first time I’ve downloaded StriveHub , I haven’t been able to start the workouts or mark the exercises as complete.

Additionally, I wish we could rearrange the workouts once added.

It’s great to have all my PT exercises in StriveHub rather than on paper, but wish some of the key features of StriveHub would work.

Works well except...

2022-09-29

You can’t mark exercises complete. The button showed up once for me and then doesn’t show up anywhere anymore.

Disappointed

2022-10-30

I like the fact that I can communicate with my PT in between sessions, but after I read PT’s messages, I still see a badge for unread messages. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way to show how many times per day I completed the routine.

doesn’t count reps after first session

2022-12-01

The UI is simple and it’s convenient enough with videos and written descriptions, but functionality of StriveHub itself goes out the window after the first session. no matter what i try to do it won’t let me indicate that i’ve performed my exercises.

No “complete” button

2023-01-01

StriveHub is very nice, However, a year from the last complaint about “no complete” button, it STILL has not been fixed, therefore I gave it 2 stars.

To those of us who are list makers, the satisfaction of the list is the check mark showing it is a completed task. Sad! Such a nice idea it was.

Too many bugs

2023-02-02

Has the potential to be good but I keep having to delete it and reinstall it to get rid of a notification that doesn’t exist and clear out my daily workout checks. Could be good if it works. Chat feature with therapists is a nice feature. I wish it worked better.

Can’t mark exercises as complete

2023-03-06

Like some other users mentioned I am no longer able to mark exercises as complete. I was able to for the first day, then it stopped being functional.

It’s the main reason I wanted StriveHub .

Tricky to use

2023-04-04

I have found that as long as I click “start workout” before clicking anything else, I can see a mark completed button. If I click an individual exercise first, then the mark completed button is nowhere to be seen, on any of the exercises. I hope this gets fixed, as I was excited to have an app to use and now it’s a lot less fun.

Unbelievably Buggy: Mark Complete, Notifications

2023-05-06

It would be a great app for keeping track of my physical therapy exercises If it didn’t consistently fail to perform basic functions correctly.

Getting it to mark exercises complete is more difficult than the exercises. Sometimes closing and reopening StriveHub will work, but sometimes it doesn’t. It never works as it is supposed to.

It never clears notifications. The little red notification count will be on your Home Screen forever apparently.

Other than these things: it is really pretty good for the purpose. It’s extremely disappointing that it so totally fails to do the simplest and most essential thing for an exercise tracker: mark completion.

“Mark complete” button missing

2023-06-06

Love StriveHub except the “mark complete” button totally disappeared after the first use and clicking the button to the next exercise does not change its status as completed (yet the help page in StriveHub says this is supposed to happen).

Been doing PT off and on since 2015 (different injuries) and I like strive hub better than the email based exercise lists.

Please fix the completed button issue. Thanks.

Updating this after a month: the “mark complete” button now appears but does not work. Is anyone actively working to fix this? It’s a basic function of StriveHub . Nothing I do will get the last half of my daily PT exercises to show completed.

Could use a couple of improvements

2023-07-08

This is a very useful app but a couple of things could really improve it. First, it would be nice to be able edit the values for each exercise - reps, hold times, etc. Because your targets may change or your therapist may leave them blank. Second, it’s the only app on my iPhone that simply refuses to remember my user name or password. Very annoying.

Needs more work

2023-08-08

this app is better than when I used before, but it still needs some work. It forces customers to login every time, even on mobile devices, rather than being able to save passwords. And there is no option to control this. There’s also inconsistent and how it works from session to session, sometimes showing progress, others not.

“Mark complete” button doesn’t work

2023-09-09

Like other reviewers have notes, the “Mark complete” feature worked for my first day, then disappeared. Please fix this!

Mark Complete Tab Issue

2023-10-11

I love StriveHub but the Mark Completed tab is not working properly so I only gave StriveHub 3 Stars.
I just started using StriveHub and it let me Mark Complete on the 1st 5 of my exercises and then for the next 6 of my exercises the Mark Complete tab wasn’t there for me to tap. So I did the remainder of my exercises using the Next tab. So, it looks like on my Today’s Workout Page that I didn’t complete my exercises and there is no way to mark them completed. I hope this issue can be resolved on the next update. It is very annoying to me that I completed all my exercises and it looks like I didn’t.

Need to be able to copy PT comments

2023-11-11

Hi. I like StriveHub a lot. However, my PT will sometimes put links into the comments section so that I can see a modification of one of the exercises, which is better suited to my particular issue.

I can’t press and hold on the link to copy it into a browser.

Even better would be to make it click able so that all I have to do is press on the link so it automatically goes to the website. Thanks!

Useful but a bit annoying

2023-12-13

I love the videos and demonstrations that go along with my exercises. It’s also great that my physical therapist can adjust my exercises and i don’t need a paper each week to update. Also great is the ability to message my PT. But the Mark Complete tab does not function well at all. Start Workout tab, Finish Workout tab, and Mark Complete tabs do not show up until I delete StriveHub and re-download it. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Works well for your at-home PT exercises

2024-01-13

My PT puts the exercises in from her end and I do them at home on the days that I don’t go in. Seems to work perfectly. It’s nice that your therapist can put notes and comments in to customize the exercises for you or to add little reminders that you may otherwise forget if the exercises were just written on paper.

Needs Work

2024-12-23

I appreciate that my physical therapist can send videos and clear instructions for the exercises they want me to do, along with sets and reps. On the other hand, my first use of StriveHub led me to believe I’d be able to track my progress. But that really only happened with the first workout. Every subsequent one, as soon as I indicate I’m starting the routine, all of the exercises are marked as completed. I don’t know if this is a bug or how it’s designed, but I wish StriveHub would track more data than simply completion. Date & time, sets and reps for each session at minimum. Duration would be nice too. Scheduling reminders would be a great addition as long as it can handle schedules like “every other day”.
