Only shows data in year view

I’ve been using Watt for a week now and it only shows data on the chart in the year view.

The boxes under the chart do not show any data for the month, day, or week. If I tap the chart it shows data for the current month

If I can’t see the data Watt doesn’t do anything more than I can do in the Apple Home app. I’m cancelling my subscription.

Doesn’t seem to be keeping up with devices

Nice app & unfortunately I bought a subscription before I realizied Watt doesn’t seem to be keeping up with the Kasa devices. EP40 smart outdoor 2 outlet switch isn’t supported. Tried to leave an “issue” via github and after setting up a github account wasn’t able to.

Promising start for Siri with Kasa

Watt gives me the #1 thing I wanted with Kasa, which is being able to control my lights with Siri. But unfortunately Siri doesn’t work right if you also have an iPad, and any “spaces” you had set up in Watt on your iPhone don’t transfer. It was also confusing to figure out how to add Siri shortcuts to turn all my lights on or off in Watt , so I used the Apple Shortcuts app instead. Finally please add support for the KL120 lightbulb.

Could you please support c200 camera?

In particular the ability to automate the privacy/on privacy/off by either location or time, thanks. Will be happy to up to 5 stars then!

Decent app

As the title says decent app, helps me track the wattage per device and space with a cost associated with it . I am trying it out and buying the dev a marshmallow ;) every month. So far what I like is I can group devices into a space and view the total wattage/cost for that space you can turn on/off all plugs in that space pretty quick as well.

Dev if you see this any plans on enabling feature such as schedule, timer, away, or smart actions?

Watt was he thinking?

I very much appreciate Watt and the development effort. I am a new user. I don’t understand why the chart doesn’t fill the whole screen. Why are you using such a small font on the chart? And why use a white font on a light background? I am 66. Us seniors can’t read it! LOL TY

Great App, But Subscription?

I got nothing bad to say about Watt . It goes a step further than the Kasa app and gives you Siri integration but the turn off to me is the stupid subscription for an app like this. You login using your Kasa login, it’s not hosting anything that I can see, it’s not requiring the developer any server maintenance or any constant upkeep other than development which appears to be a new build monthly which is great but there’s no need for a subscription based approach. They’re only wanting $.49 a month which is just an annoyance amount in the first place. If $6 is what they want for it (presuming it is as that’s about the cost of a years worth) then ask for it. We live in a subscription based world and Watt is just a trigger type app that’s added a feature of supplying Siri integration, not an app supplying anything requiring the need of a reoccurring charge.

App does not work

I am trying to create a group and it won’t let me also when I try to switch on the divide I am using using the drop down menu it would let me so I have to do the all devices on but I don’t want everything I have to turn on help

Fantastic App.

Kudos to the developer. This is what the Kasa app should have been.
Asking for support for Watt is more than justified.

App stopped working

App just crashes before it can open. It was working fine for a year. Any ideas?

essential app for smart home power consumption

Watt works splendidly for monitoring the day by day power consumption of my TP-Link devices. TP-Link itself does not provide daily graphs like this app does. Highly recommended.

Update is great now with support for KP125

Watt is the missing part from the TP Link/Kasa world. I am very impressed with Watt. It’s like having the features of Sense but using smart outlets. Very responsive developer.

Fantastic App for Kasa Energy Monitoring!

Tried Watt and instantly shelled out the $5 yearly sub. App is fantastic for monitoring your energy use if you bought into the Kasa Smart Plug ecosystem. Very intuitive UI to check your usage per device, room, or home. Watt has to use your kasa login, so ended up separating things like cameras into another kasa account. Wishlist: 1. Ability to rename devices. 2. Ability to give a custom name, independent of the official custom name set via Kasa. 3. Ability to tag devices, and filter by tags. 4. Directly show independent plugs, in the case of the kasa power strip. 5. Ability to graph per space, and not just one graph for everything.

Great features

The this app app adds a bunch of features that Kasa was lacking, like Siri integration, night mode, power monitoring, and turning all devices off simultaneously. I'd love to see Kasa light strips (KL400L5) added as well.

This app went above and beyond expectations.

It helps track my energy on some smart plugs and power strips better than the smart home app that makes them and then gives you more information!
Love it.

One Time Purchase

Love Watt, it’s more powerful than I thought, so I subscribed. However, I really hate subscription in general, ex. when I forget about it and it charges me $5 dollars from my empty debit card, so my bank charges me another $35 overdraft fee, that happens. Would you mind add an one time purchase option?

Better than TP links very own app

Watt works better, is more reliable, and has 10x the features than TPlinks very own app for their products.

Tp link makes a light switch that has an annoying LED indicator on the switch when it is off that is very bright at night. This 3rd party app has the ability to turn that off.

This also has energy usage statistics and reporting that tp links app doesn’t.

A smarter App than TP-Link’s

Smart! Lots of clever functions! A deeper reach into the capabilities of these Smart devices. Kudos to newly issued version 5 (February 2023).

There’s a minor BUG to report though: for the new TP-Link EP25 energy monitoring plugs, the consumption charts of Week, 30th, and Month are not properly updating the plotted data beyond the second day of monitoring. I’m seeing only the two data points. Whereas the Year chart is OK; it is at least labeling the future (albeit zero) monthly data positions.

No similar issue with the charting in the cleverly implemented HS200 switch’s consumption plots.

So apparently the charting bug is only related to the recent EP25 plug. (Actually I don’t have any older version EM plugs, so there could be others.)

Great but one wish

Thanks for creating Watt . I am a little concerned about security as users are logging in with their tplink account on a third party app. App is great but I just wish I could separate all outlets on the HS300 into individual devices. I don’t want to turn the entire strip on or off by mistake. Having to go into the hs300 menu just to look at one device is cumbersome. Hope you can add eventually!

Edit: saw you can access all devices in the control center! Great! Still wish you can add them individually inside the spaces.

Works great with optional IAP

This shows a graph of your overall usage which is good but it doesn’t show the max or minimum energy values which would be even more helpful.
