THE WORST IN ITS CATEGORY!

The 4 and 5 star reviews have to be company employees. No one in their right mind would give BuildOps more than 1 star. It freezes and crashes regularly. It is the least user friendly software I’ve used for dispatching and this our 4th one. We were forced to switch to this app as a company and nothing about the transition went smooth. We are approaching a year using it and there has been no improvements in functionality. Techs have no access to customers info, history or patterns of calls based on equipment. Billing from BuildOps is impossible because it only lets you have a single rate. We do residential commercial and industrial so we have a few different rates. Collecting on site for service calls is terrible as well because parts pricing is just terrible. Customers don’t like what is shown for them to look at what was done. When there is follow-up to a job and you mark it as “parts needed” BuildOps asks the tech if the job is complete. If the tech isn’t watching closely and selects yes, then the ticket never goes to our parts department to order the part. Oh and this is a big one… when you have a job that is more than 1 day you can’t see what was done on previous days unless you go back through the previous tickets. The job summary typed up from day is to is not on the next days ticket! I could go on for hours. Bottom line is it’s terrible software.

Crashes, bugs, long load times

Been using BuildOps a little over a year now. It seems every time another company joins BuildOps , it gets worse and worse. I’m constantly having to restart, log out and sign in, and uninstall and reinstall just to be able to use it. The flag section constantly glitches out where you can’t use the onscreen buttons to submit. Have to copy and paste what you wrote, close app, and repeat until it final works. When adding inventor items, the list takes 30 seconds to load, even on 1GBPS WiFi. If you tap the inventory bar again while it loads, often it will take you to warehouses and you’ll have to find your truck again and go through that glitchy menu. It eats battery. It’s just overall not a great app.

Using it for a year now… against my will.

The 4 & 5 star reviews have to be this app employees. No one in the field or dispatching/billing can honestly say this is a good app. Period. This is the worst dispatch software I’ve ever used. There’s no way for techs to look up customers unless a job is assigned to them. Looking back at what was done on a job previously is on separate tickets and takes several pages to load even when it’s all under a single job. It creates multiple tickets, one for each day the job is active. Then it doesn’t combine all the tickets word for word. It’s AI decides what was importance and puts that on the bill the customer gets. Billing a customer is terrible. You can’t adjust labor hours easily, there’s no way to as a coupon or discount. I could go on and on.

Maybe works for the drug dealer on the street corner

Horrible software. Coming from other platforms that where amazing. Can’t believe the wasted back office resources. Here we are a year in and the company is just wanting to get by with this. From the tech side the list is long on its deficiencies. Would be nice to view previous calls at sites. Sometimes we run lots of jobs tied to one site, sure would be nice to open six tickets and multitask between them. How about running large jobs and being able to track all techs hours, nope have to call office and have them look it up. List goes on, I’m a lucky one - time to retire from this madness.

BuildOps excels!

We’ve been with this app about 18 months and couldn’t be happier that we made the switch. this app has allowed us to streamline our accounting processes, increasing productivity. Our technicians appreciate the ease of the mobile app and the elimination of timesheets. Tech Support and our account manager are always available if issues arise. Suggestions are welcome and they truly listen to the customer. There are 1 or 2 things on our wish list but I have no doubt they will happen. Every step of the process was laid out clearly and we never felt like we were left to fend for ourselves.

Mobile App for Commercial Maintenance

BuildOps is a fantastic app for all technicians that need to report progress on a job. Sometimes information is hidden by too many layers. I also wish BuildOps allowed you to access quotes, customer data or any non job data when I am out in the field creating estimates or visiting a site.

BuildOps review

So far so good. Was tough at first getting to understand how to operate BuildOps . But as time went on it became easier and easier to use. Had a slight “syncing” issues reached out to their service which was easily accessible. Soon after got a response and they were very helpful.
Sometimes there glitches where you have to re enter values. But other than that it’s been easy to use.

Great Decision for our Business

It was a great decision to switch to this app for our business. We have been live just under a year and have already seen improvement in our field/office communication. Our technicians enjoy this field app and find it easy and straight forward to use. We wish it had more to offer to our operations managers to be able to quickly manage some scheduling aspects while on the go.

Great app

Have to use it for work. It is easy to use, and super user friendly. Unfortunately recently it has have had a lot of freezing issues

Almost a year

In May we will be one year from ‘go live’. We split from one project management/service/accounting package to Build Ops and Quick books. The transition was not smooth, but the overall product is great. Cutting back on paper every day and creating more efficient workflows. Our customer success manager meets with us every 2 weeks to answer questions that help us through training and questions. No regrets in choice of software.

Truly an honest review.

We have been on several platforms. this app by far has exceed our expectations. From the top to the bottom they are very involved with one thing in mind. That is great customer service and support. The company is very professional and proactive, which you don’t find these days. So if you are looking for a strong service/construction platform to take your business to the next level. Look no further. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you.

Rock Solid for Commercial HVAC

It's was difficult to find a service software that works for our commercial needs, but we finally found this app and it's working perfectly. We tried two other software programs before this app and they were tailored to residential service and really struggled with managing jobs that weren't completed in one day. this app handles longer jobs and projects with ease and dispatches aren't getting lost. It's a must have for commercial service companies.

Loving BuildOps

My company (small electrical contractor focused on commercial and industrial service work) moved from mostly paper and pencil to this app about two months ago. They handle everything from quotes, to dispatching, to invoices. Overall, we’ve had a great experience. The best part is the this app team we have working with. They offer plenty of training and ongoing support. We were never left to just figure it out. Highly recommend.

Great Partners

Build Ops has increased the productivity of my Field Team from day one. It is not easy to please everyone but I can honestly say my techs have had nothing but a positive experience and easy transition to the phone app. The Build Ops team made this transition seamless and was always there to answer any questions. The information that is being recorded on a daily basis and sent back to the office is completed easily and captured in real time.

We have been with this app for almost a year now. Every aspect of changing over to them has been seamless. They are a breath of fresh air compared to the services we used before. User Friendly & Organized

We have been on the software for almost three months now and are already seeing efficiencies in our dispatching and communication workflows as well as invoicing speed. We needed a system that is reliable and can sustain our growth in the industry and friends, this app is it (and the future). BuildOps is user friendly and nicely maps out the job path for the tech so nothing is missed. The support this app provides is excellent and perhaps my favorite thing… they are always requesting feedback and how to make the product better. We are very happy on our this app journey thus far.

Outstanding Performance During An Emergency

I was recently operating under severe time constraints to process a number of large invoices, and with books closing the next day, I needed to complete everything within 24 hours. Ten hours before the deadline, a massive invoice failed to Sync, and within minutes of reaching out to this app, they responded. I explained the gravity of my situation, and within an thirty minutes, they solved the synchronization crisis which permitted me to close the month successfully. I can’t recommend this app enough. This one instance is emblematic of their overall treatment with clients. I have had countless other less severe issues that this app successfully handled. I’m happy to have the support and confidence that this app provides.

Amazing!!!

Super user friendly and easy to navigate. But still has a lot of functionality so can do all my work through app without having to supplement with paper. Can complete forms and even works if I don’t have reception, so I can enter information and not worry about losing any of my data. It’s been a game changer.

Solid product for Commercial Contractors

We are a commercial electrical company and find build ops extremely useful. While we have experienced a few bugs in the past build ops has a great team and they are dedicated to making it the best product. I would recommend BuildOps for other contractors. It allows us to easily track assets and services. Build ops is a well designed and user friendly application.
