Daily desktop user. CoStar is an absolute waste of my time to scan my phone to my computer screen to log in with every - single - day. Cheers you for screwing your paying customers with this extended log in so you can MAYBE find people who found a loophole. App does not work as well as desktop version.

Looks like this app deleted my last 1 star review? Wish I could give you negative 1 Stars. We also had a looplink through them to link our properties to our website. After 4 months, they still can’t get it right. Our listings seem to be at random - some are not even states we service. Having difficulty with anyone being able to actually personally help. The only helpful person is our property researcher who responds and acts quickly, but doesn’t always have authority to make bigger changes.

Every time I go and put in my password it doesn’t login. It pops up saying there was an error while trying to login. Please try again. If the problem persist, please tell this app. This problem has been happening for awhile. It doesn’t happen on any of the other related apps and websites not even the this app website. Just a login problem on the this app iOS app.

this app is rolling out a new security feature that requires users to take a picture of their computer screen to log in to their account. I work on a secure floor at a bank so I’m not able to take a picture of my screen and now I’m locked out of my account but my company still has to pay for it until my subscription comes up for renewal. The subscription fee is a non-trivial amount of money.

This is a total bait and switch. Basically, some analysts at a different bank got caught pirating this app like nine months ago and the company overreacted and is collectively punishing all of its customers. To add insult to injury customer service hasn’t responded to my email for over a week.

If you want to use if like zillow or realitor app, it is pointless. Those you can download, make an account, and get to price hunting for your dream home. I was hoping that CoStar would provide something similar. I downloaded it and there is no way to create an account. It looks like you have to go to their site to get the desktop app. I am not thrilled about this. It I wanted it on my computer there are other options. So no telling if the actual app is like the features available for homes. I could not even get that far.

All agents in any office have to pay over four hundred doll@rs per month each to use the monopoly this app. LoopNet starts at over seventy doll@rs per month per listing. The commercial MLS is more money than rent for many of us. They put their biggest competitor out of business by suing them. We need NAR to add a commercial platform before they put us out of business. Congress should add this app to the list of big tech / big data companies being subpoenaed for monopolistic behavior.

this app is a joke, they treat their paying customers like garbage, constantly raising rates and LoopNet goes up every month if you want one of their so called premium ads. CoStar works as well as their sales people, constantly revolving door at the monopoly called this app. I hate CoStar, their service and the company. Andy the ceo and his henchmen laugh off and negative feedback, but it won’t be long before a competitor comes along and gives these pompous tools what they deserve. Negative star is more appropriate!

App is great when it doesn’t log you out. It’s incredibly sensitive to kicking you out of the platform and makes you log back in over and over. This alone makes me want to turn away from using and just delete CoStar altogether. If this issue could be fixed, then this wails be the ultimate resource. How this is being overlooked and not resolved is pretty incredible.

I use the desktop version all the time. iPad version locks up randomly, cant load data or property info, have to restart many times. More frustrating than its worth. Total loss of productivity when attempting to use the iPad version

Feature wise, I haven’t been able to test everything to compare because CoStar wont work long enough, i have noticed that there is no option to remove a property from a saved survey. Would like to see that available.

Too many down times and unable to function because CoStar consistently crashes. The filtered searches only works half of the time while the other half resets itself and the process starts all over again (unless it crashes, again). A complete waste of time for the money spent. If you like paying an app a ridiculous price to be annoyed well look no further.

The absolute worst app I have ever used. To spend as much money as our national firm does and have this crash day after day with no one at this app even caring enough to want to fix it is an absolute waste of my time and it is incredibly frustrating. I would suggest most people if not all use another app. The customer service here is horrible and they do not care about anything except taking your monthly money.

Pls fix this. I see users within the past 24 months have the same issue I am seeing. It’s a pretty hefty premium if CoStar doesn’t work properly. It’s quite embarrassing when looking at the data for the client on the fly and have to wait for CoStar to log back in every 5 min…. This is not acceptable pls fix this!

I do enjoy CoStar . However, I was disappointed that notes entered onto a property via CoStar doesn’t transfer over to the my data section in the desktop version.

CoStar is very good for quick searches on the go. I guess the only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because of the quality of the desktop version. No other property search engine or database compares to this app at this point in time. Customer service is also fantastic!

CoStar is a glorified security procedure for desktop login.

It's usefulness is limited to single property searches if you aren't near your desk, or using your gps to ID properties while on the ground in a market.

Blindingly obvious improvements could be made such as menus to easily pull up market and sub market reports but I'm not holding my breath...

Love CoStar ! It’s pretty spectacular the amount of information you have access to right on your phone. It’s a huge time saver.

Not sure why all the complaints about the login requirement. The phone prompts for a simple login request. Takes literally less than 20 seconds to login..

I have used this app for years, but am extremely happy with the ease of use on phones now. I used to have to carry around a laptop or an iPad for a simple search, now I can check instantly!

Been able to quickly find opportunities buying off market multifamily using CoStar.

Those that think it is inconvenient for this app to have security measures don’t appreciate the info available on this app and should just choose to go back to using their beepers to do business. CoStar is the best tool available for CRE professionals working in the 21st century. It gets better with every upgrade!!!!

It’s absolutely ludicrous that I have to download this garbage app in order to be able to use a service I pay for. If this app didn’t have a monopoly on real estate data at now that they’ve either run their competitors out or bought them I would use anybody else.

Also CoStar is less useful than google.

99% all the five star reviews are from this app themselves. They are way to one dimensional to be real.

Just diving into app for 1st time. Have used iPad version previously. At 1st impression, App is good for street brokers in the field trying to check something quickly. Results are tough to decipher when looking at larger geographic area. Would be helpful to have market/submarket in address line.

I like CoStar , and it is easy to use. I wish there was more crossovers between the desktop and the mobile app, such as listing ID numbers for sale transaction ID numbers included in the mobile app.

One of the best app, the good side is that it has most information you want but not perfect, you still get to use your leather shoes and call to get information. It is good one to start. Bad thing is that may be a little expensive for the newbie.

I have all CRE info easily accessible when I’m on the go. Includes owner and broker and prop manager contacts on listings. All CRE professionals use this. If you’re not a pro you should use the public site Loopnet.

Great app for info on the go and to save properties for further research. I don’t understand the negative reviews, this is yet another way to make life easier and the time driving the market more efficient.
