DEEBOT 2017 Reviews

I just bought a new vac and deleted my old vacuum from DEEBOT2017 not wanting to confuse myself or DEEBOT2017 . Could not get the robot to fully sync with DEEBOT2017 . It gets all the way to the last step and gives me error messages. It has to be this updated version or something buggy with the latest IOS update. Now I can not even get my old robot to connect. My Internet and wifi are the same as before. This is the same app I was using but this is the first time trying to set up a vacuum since it’s last update. Customer support was of no use because I am doing exactly what they are telling me to do and it does not work. We have even shared snapshots of what I am seeing. I guess I will be returning the vacuum because DEEBOT2017 renders it useless except for manual cleaning mode which defeats the purpose of this wifi enabled version.

Here I am trying to make things easier and faster in getting house cleaning out of the way and instead I find myself wasting time on DEEBOT2017. Can’t connect half the time or it just won’t connect, delaying my whole day. Ughhh forget DEEBOT2017.

I have DEEBOT2017 but my model number, N79S, is not on the list and can’t do a search so useless.

Disappointed to spend that much money on the vacuum and not have an app that supports it

So much for using the vacuum when I can’t even get DEEBOT2017 to connect to my 2.4ghz network.

I’m told to use DEEBOT2017 by the ECOVACSHOME app, only to be told the firmware on my deebot requires the ECOVACSHOME app. Neither works well. Data timeouts, I have two of the same bots with different firmware. Chinese junk.

Update broke everything bricking my robot. It was mediocre before but now it won’t connect and renders the robot worthless. Used robot for sale.

Tried at least 15 times. Finally giving up. DEEBOT2017 never connects to device even after following each step exactly said. Please take DEEBOT2017 off Apple Store

The information in the manual gives wrong information about what app to use, the robot I bought is not even in the list, very unprofessional, is a shame costumer have to be researching to connect your products.

When I launch DEEBOT2017 and select my Vacuum, I am told that “This firmware requires the ECOVACS Home App...” despite the fact that DEEBOT2017 is already downloaded.

App kept saying that I need to connect to WiFi even though I’m on WiFi. Tried log out and log in, deleted and reinstall DEEBOT2017 , turn on and off WiFi, change from 5GHz to 2.4 GHz,... nothing happened. DEEBOT2017 need to be fixed ASAP.

So the old app worked fine but some genius at this company decided to force everybody to use this new version which will not connect to the WiFi. So basically DEEBOT2017 is worthless and this robot is heavily devalued. Don’t see myself using it without a working app.

Litterally read all the boxes this was the perfect one for my price range. Got it home and come to find out DEEBOT2017 doesn’t even have a option for my vacuum to connect even tho it’s clearly stated on the box. Will return.

We’re running a refurbished DEEBOT 900. I set everything up with the old app and it worked great. All of a sudden I got the message to install this version. So I did. Nothing but problems: no connect to vacuum, intermittent Wi-Fi, DEEBOT2017 actually caused our robot to run diagonal grids. Deleted DEEBOT2017 , reset the robot and synced with the old app....runs great again.

Paid 500$ because I listened to consumer reports and got the 930. The vacuum works well but never was able to connect the vacuum to phone in spite of multiple chats with the company. So I have no remote access and spent hours trying to link it to my phone. Amazingly poor app design

We will see if another app resolves, but so far few hrs spent and still issues with app appearance, connectivity, just really stressful. Robot works well though.

It’s either The WiFi or it’s just a dumb app

After updating DEEBOT2017 it asked me to install Ecovacs 2017 app. I think this is just a bug message. Please remove.

Love DEEBOT 930, but it takes to long to map my house. It has to go back to charging station, and charge, which takes about 4 hours. To the developer: please add battery percentage, to know when it’s full charge on DEEBOT2017 .

This is the correct app for the vacuum. It works great and I am loving my new vaccum/mop. The one thing that could be improved is to allow it to create 2 maps so that it could more easily clean both our upstairs and downstairs without remapping, but still a great product and app!
