BMPro is dodo

We bought a Jayco 28.5 rsts fifth wheel in December of 22, as of June 25 of 23 we still have not been able to stay one night in it due to glitches with the Jay command panel disabling all the motors so the slides and awning, and leveling system don’t function!!!! Had it back to the dealer four times now and it works there briefly but by the time we get it home it is not working again! Can’t get in the fridge or cabinets and drawers so can’t stay in it! What a stupid system to put in an Rv that’s supposed to able to go anywhere and provide comfortable living conditions without having to have an internet connection and someone to download another update to get the slides to work! What was wrong with the super reliable analog switches that worked so well for decades? Or why not have them available in a separate panel in case the fancy electronics fail? Guess they never heard the mantra : K.I.S.S, keep it simple stupid!! In any case, don’t waste your time and money on a Jayco as they are now made by Thor, not like before when the Amish were the ones who made them! Corporate dweebs have thoroughly screwed up the system and the brand is being damaged by the over engineered direction they are going!! What a shame!

Poorly executed

This is like playing whack a mole on your phone. Buttons light up then go dark. Awnings are an exercise in frustration because they stop and start all the time. JAYCOMMAND/TravelLINK app on tablet just closes or a force restart is needed. Jayco needs to step up and resolve these issues. If I could give negative stars I would. JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK update that gives you tank level updates has significantly slowed JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK down. Also if your going to implement that then put in accurate tank sensors. Now apps wont connect to bmpro cloud. Its just one disaster after another

Has been stuck on firmware update

Worked great for about a month ever since it’s been stuck on a failed firmware update have deleted and reinstalled and tried every other possibility known to man unfortunately like other reviewer‘s have stated there is no possibility of x out of the update or choosing to do it another time your only choice is to do the firmware update which continually fails leaving JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK unusable

Worthless!!!

Works until you need a firmware update. Was able to force the last two updates using their instructions (remove shore power, disconnect battery, close out of app completely, etc.) but that no longer works. JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK is dead in the water without the update. Thank God for actual buttons and switches in my rig or nothing would work. Makes me miss my completely manual, hand crank popup camper.

Money wasted

This is my 3rd review because mine keeps getting deleted. App is useless for the last 6 months because of forced failed update. Spent money on tpms and propane sensors and now because of failing developer update JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK locks up when forced update appears.
6 months and still no fix…really? If you cared about customer satisfaction you would get your jaycommand app fixed asap. Never buy a bmpro again.

Won’t work on latest iOS!!! Very lazy programmers!!

Don’t install this software it won’t work!! They’re too lazy to fix their problem!!! They said it’s a flaw in the updated iOS, no they’re the flaw!! It’ll say there’s a firmware update available and give you no other choice but to try it and all to fail!! This renders JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK completely useless. Might need to go with something not Jayco next time!!!! Fix the problem!!!
Make it where we can turn on/off updates if we want!!!

bad review number 2!

not sure why my first review didnt make it on here..so here goes again..i have written to the developers several times and no response..there is a problem with the temps being switched so it reads the outside temp as inside and visa versa..im on a Jayco forum and that seems to be a common problem..seems to me a company that has their system in so many trailers is a larger company and would be concerned about issues like that..or maybe they dont care since we are pretty much stuck using it..sad either way

Completely worthless!!

Would definitely give zero stars if that were an option. Every time I try to use this crap ap my blood pressure goes out of the roof! Doesn’t work. Always says it needs a firmware update. Goes through a ten minute update as if it’s really updating, says it’s ready and as soon as you attempt to use it, it says another firmware update is needed! Don’t bother downloading!

Please don’t buy a Jayco

Hi Everyone, wanted to share a couple thoughts! Jayco’s look amazing and they are “nice” …at first glance. I bought a brand new 2022 Jayco Eagle and within 8 days my (retracted) awning fell completely off the trailer causing irreparable damage, my factory installed solar was hooked up wrong from the factory and had not ever worked, oh yeah I HAD A BATTERY EXPLOSION as well caused by the progressive dynamics inverter that was factory installed, the sliding closet doors don’t have strong enough plastic to keep it from ruining the finish, water pressure has never been consistent especially from shore power to dry camp (what are these for?), numerous pieces of wood broken, glue on all of the interior walls. If you’ve read this far, just don’t buy Jayco…

App useless If Update fails.

Great app when it works. If a firmware needs to be installed you have no choice to install it or not. If the firmware fails to install because you are camping with no cell service, you cannot use JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK until the firmware is installed. There is no way to “X” out and install it later. Basically you can’t use JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK until you have service with your trailer. Very frustrating. It just goes into a loop of trying to install and then failing. Big programming flaw.

Not Two Person Friendly

We live in our RV. We just upgraded to the Pinnacal, and love the idea of the RVGenius. However, we are two people. Only one of us can be paired at a time. This is not acceptable.

There are many times when both of us need access to the panel through Bluetooth. Yet, one of us is locked out.

Update failed

I have been trying to update firmware for over three weeks. I have tried everything I can think of. Turning phone off and on. Remove and reinstall app. Love app when it works. But is frustrating that can’t use app until I can update. I need help or $100s of extras on the camper (ex. Tire pressure monitor) are worthless. JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK is on an iPhone 7. I have WiFi phone service and Bluetooth connection to camper. Won’t update. Keeps failing.

Great idea but poor execution

I’ve had my Jayco for a little over 1 year and while it is great sometimes, other times it is laughable. For example, it is great when you can turn the air on 30 minutes before you arrive at your camper or need to turn lights on in the dark before you get there. It is terrible when you’re sitting right outside and can’t get the awning to open or close without moving around like you’re trying to “find a signal” with your phone. The cloud connection has worked pretty well during the time I’ve had it until about a week ago when I could no longer connect to it. The camper has internet access, I’ve logged out and back in on both the panel and my app… it never shows the cloud icon now. One of the few benefits is now no longer available. This could be really nice Jayco, just put a little more polish into it. JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK experience is not “production ready” at all.

Cool features

Seems to work well, although haven’t tried it without cell coverage yet. We got all the sensors for it like propane, tire, and temp sensors and they all connected well. One thing about the sensors, however, is that you can’t label the propane tanks. We have two 30lb tanks, and we don’t know which one is which, because it just has the two readouts. Would be nice to label them “left” and “right”. Also, there were zero instructions that came with it, so it was kind of hard to figure out. My trailer had to manual toggle switches, and I still don’t know what one of them does

I’ve used better

I’ve used other rv apps with previous camper models and this is by far my least favorite. Levels and reading seem to work well, HOWEVER you basically have to be inside the camper to have it control and with the way the screens move in JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK you have to press JUST right or things won’t “move/work”

I was up on the roof blowing off the slides and tried to close the slides while up there and I couldn’t get a consistent signal, the motor would start and stop only pulling the slide a couple inches before stopping again. Sooo frustrating!

2020 Pinnacle

We’ve had our fifth wheel for about a yr with JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK and I still can’t control the system when I’m away or control the generator with auto settings from the pad on the wall or JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK . Would also like to receive push notifications about tanks being full. Since the last update it has had a glitch when I just open JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK it automatically goes back to the settings from the night before turning on my ac and turning on furnace heat when those aren’t my choices. But other than that it has been great being able to control lights, air and slides from within my rig or not to far from it outside.

Works Great

We use this in our Northpoint 387RDFS and its awesome. When your feeling lazy its nice to be able to adjust heat or air from the bed . Can also adjust all the lights. Have it connected to wifi in our campground and can have the camper cooled off or heated up by the time we arrive. We use the optional propane and temperature sensors as well. The only reason i gave 4 stars is that it needs some time of audible or visible notification when temperature goes outside of adjustable min and max. As it is you have to monitor app for the warning icon.

Great concept.

Works well with us, I love being able to control the lights from my phone and monitoring the inside temp from where ever I’m at, almost like nest. Watching the slides from the inside and out and stopping when needed without yelling. We’ve already had comments on setting up and being so quick and not yelling at each other, my wife and I, and disrupting the park.

Future update??
I would like to see push notification settings, in regards whenever a grey/black tank is full, I monitor the tanks regardless but if one fills before I catch it. Or simply being able to turn off the exclamation icon for our empty fresh tank when we are connected to city water and not in the condition to boon-dock.

New Update from BRPRO WORKS

The new update has fixed all the issues that have been causing cloud issues and things not working for the past 6-8 month. Update 3.18.2. You must update JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK on your device and JAYCOMMANDTravelLINK on the RV control panel. All the controls work just like they used to over WiFi or Bluetooth now.

Great product

Have used this for over 3 years no problems. Use it 50 miles away form trailer. All bad reviews probably come from 1st time RVer’s. They should just stay in a hotel
