I originally had the OBD11 pro then that went obsolete so I bought the new version which wasn’t cheap! Like many other reviews have stated all I wasn’t able to login to my old account so I had to set up a new account which I did through IOS app. Finally I was able to login and purchase to make a few changes to my dash and lights. Used it another time and it worked fine as well. Then I needed to scan my partners car and the Apple Sign in would work so I assumed ok let me reset my password. Email to reset was sent. I go through that process and get an error stating I already have an Account. Well I know that! That is how I got the reset email.

Needless to say I wasn’t able to login at all. So when I needed this the most to clear out any codes prior to us purchasing another car and getting the most money for our trade in it failed me! I am still not able to log in so now I have lost money twice! And the sad part is that I didn’t even make it a big deal that I lost my first set of credits so here we go again these will be lost because I can’t login even though I spent money on the new version of the device!

I don’t understand how so many people can keep reporting the same issues and they won’t do a simple fix! They sure make it easy for you to purchase credit to buy the apps which is crazy that you have to use credit to reverse something you already payed for. Not a good company and they clearly don’t care about their customers!

I knew going in that this was a cost plus model where not only you have to buy the hardware (expensive hardware) but you have to buy “points” to unlock the upgrades and general right to use it but the previews made it look like every upgrade was 5-10 points and i paid the extra for it to come with 200 points so no way I’d run out right? Wrong. What they don’t tell you is all the good upgrades can cost 100 points plus and here’s the catch, they take those points whether the upgrade works or not. Tried to add the driver assistance to my car for over half my points and turns out it doesn’t work! Guess I just wasted all my points. Costs 15 dollars for every upgrade “ATTEMPT” essentially. So better hope it works the first time! You get points every day you sign in so they can gain access to sell your data most likely but this is only one point per day, so after 100 days of letting them steal your data you get 1 free upgrade. What a joke. IMO this is going way too far into this pay to play model. I paid 200 dollars for this device and your costs are fixed. Why do I have to pay out the nose every time I want to change my light configuration?? One star for the 1 or 2 upgrades that worked before I ran out of points. The couple hundred points wasted on attempts that didn’t takes away the rest.

I have had the pro version and free version for this devise and I really like it. It has tons of options and it’s easy to use! The reason for the 1 star rating is because of one thing… I was doing my brakes and had to pay to retract the rear calipers which I was okay with($2.99). The part I thought was greedy was when I was finished and went to enable the brakes, I had to pay again($2.99). I of course had to do it since I was stuck without a choice. I just felt that was pretty shady. Other than that, I would give it 5 stars.

You buy a product with ONE YEAR pro. You decide you want to link your Apple ID to your account which is a “feature” but in order to do this. You MUST delete your existing account. Doing this YOU LOSE PRO ($65 a year) and they are like oooops sorry you deleted and recreated your account so my pro features are gone. STAY AWAY. LOOK ELSEWHERE. If they CARED they would make it easier for you to link your Apple ID to an exiting account. Nope. They use this to force more money out of you.

Still get runaround from Renatas. The most unhelpful tech support agent I have dealt with in years.

I was super excited to get and use this product. I bought the tool with 100 credits and was expecting to use the built in credit harvesting for additional credits over time. This only worked for about two weeks before they took away the ability to earn additional credits over time and left you to pay even more money for those credits. If you hate having money in your wallet, this is the solution for you.

OBDelevenVAG has been the biggest scam yet. I purchased OBDelevenVAG believing that I could reset the service interval on my 2014 Audi A6. Come to find out after already buying the $80 device and $100 for a year PRO subscription, I still have to purchase 10 credits ($4 each) to reset the service interval on my car for a grand total of $200 spent trying to use this junk. After several attempts at reaching customer service (which is non existent) I am very upset with my experience with OBD11 and will now have to take my car to the dealership in order to finish this simple task, something that this device should easily do.

You can’t do anything without the pro subscription that you can’t do with a $5 ELM327. So after paying $95 for the adapter, I had to pay $65 for a “subscription”. After the subscription the single feature I needed (dpf regen) simply did not work. You have to know a bunch of codes just to get where you need to be and then I just get some cryptic info about the test being cancelled. I tried a different tool that works on any car before this and it seemed to know more about the car than this supposedly VW specific tool. Mega waste of money and now I assume Apple will refuse my refund request and I’m going to be out $150 on this whole thing. Just buy a regular scan tool this thing is garbage.

I paid for the device and the pro subscription. I have yet to get it to work and I’m out allot of money. I was willing to pay a premium for ease of use but that has been far from the case. I tried to get support and after no response I tried to return it. Still no response. I’m guessing I’m stuck with this brick. It’s basically fraud at this point. App has bugs and the product is completely misrepresented and falsely advertised. If you own an Audi turn to RossTech and you will be much happier with the products and service they provide. RossTech continues to develop their products and is even working on a SFD security solution for all those newer vehicles.

The yearly subscription for the pro level has doubled in the past year and is now as much as the hardware costs now. I dislike the dishonest and cash grab business model that promises one thing and then shortly after takes it away. Examples: free credits (now gone), lifetime subscriptions (now gone), yearly subscriptions (now cost almost as much as going to a mechanic). The apps are insanely expensive for what they are as well and you pay per single use. The service used to be great, it is no longer is worth the price.

I purchased the Unit and the application for my VW 2021 Tiquan and it would not work. I contacted support and they sent me the reply below - that starts with “hello” . I have had over 6 email correspondence with this company to deactivate delete and not bill me for use of OBDelevenVAG since they informed me the device is not compatible even though their website says, compatible with my vehicle , and OBDelevenVAG shows lane assist warn as an option to modify. Additionally, their website says they will refund if asked if you have not used an option. Well I can’t use an option and they still refuse to delete and deactivate and not bill my account. The good news is Applecdecline the first time OBDelevej tried to bill me, so all I want is for them to deactivate delete and not future bill me.
They refuse to address this.

Below is the reply from their support and almost a week later they have not honored my request. As a matter of fact they refuse to even mention in their replies that ai repeatedly ask them to deactivate and delete my account. A simple request.

thank you for your message. Sorry to hear that you are having issues. I can see that you hve the newest Tiguan with MIB3 multimedia. We do not know how to deactivate this function for this model yet.
Are you following any particular instructions for deactivating this function manually?

I have the Pro license. I am still being asked to buy additional credits for every single customisation or ready to use app. You want to reset your oil change light - it will cost you credits. You want to change your rear brake pads - it will cost you credits! Yes, even for these basics you will need to buy credits, even if you have the “pro” license. It’s a true nickel and dime experience with this product. It used to be better when they had the option to watch ads and get free credits. This option is gone now and the paid credits cost more too. Very greedy approach given that there are other similar but much cheaper options out there. I can’t recommend OBDelevenVAG anymore.

I bought a NextGen device on Black Friday and have not even been able to connect to it one time yet. I have been in contact with the support for almost a month and half and hve gotten nowhere. I have told them multiple times that the device cannot be found and there is an issue with the Bluetooth of the device. I have used several phones, and tried it on several cars and not a single one has worked. You are lucky if you a get a response once a day from them. I have been asked at bare minimum a half a dozen times to send them an error log when I do not get any errors because the device CANNOT connect. I have asked them multiple times and on how to submit a warranty to send the device back and have it fixed or get a new one, and every time they disregard my questions. Then miraculously one day I was told they connected to it remotely which would be impossible because the device wasnt even plugged in and they somehow fixed the issue. But I tried connecting to it again with the same result. I still have not gotten any help on how to submit a warranty after a month and a half. Overall I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. If i could give this a 0 star review I would.

I am very frustrated with this product. I simply want to do a scan of my vehicle however, OBDelevenVAG requires you to log into your account. I set up an account months ago with my Apple ID when I try to use OBDelevenVAG today it refuses to allow me to login with my Apple ID account, when I go to the Support chat, I’m greeted by an automated chatbot that can’t help me. It suggest I talk to an agent. There are no agents online today. I am out of luck. This is very inconvenient. I do not recommend this device or app.

Where to start. One star for user interface. Clean well designed. Another star for the idea behind it - vehicle diagnostics on iPhone via Bluetooth - whaaa! But you fail me after that. It takes bloody forever to scan the car. 5-8 minutes? Come on. More than half the times I try to scan, OBDelevenVAG freezes, I think it has to do with your iPhone displaying sleeping. Turn off the display sleep setting on your iPhone or turn up to 5 mins before display sleeps. But if OBDelevenVAG does freeze midway there is no recovering. Force quit OBDelevenVAG . Turn off and restart the vehicle. Restart OBDelevenVAG . Pray to sweet Jesus if you’re into that. For me personally I wish I had just bought an old fashioned reader with a cord dongle attached.

I own 2 Volkswagens; a 2016 GTI and I just purchased a 2007 Beetle. The pro version works well with the GTI but wouldn’t detect the Beetle for some reason until I would enter the VIN. Once it did connect, it would only read the engine control module. I opened a ticket with their support department and they claim I need to send in my dongle to be repaired. This doesn’t make sense to me as it seems to work perfectly fine with my ‘16 GTI. I’m certainly not comfortable shipping this device all the way to Lithuania. In fact, I’m sure shipping probably costs as much as a buying a new device.

This device is nice because I can keep it in my glovebox and don’t need to carry a laptop around like I did when I had my VCDS cable, but it’s all but useless for one of the 2 cars I own.

I bought this knowing about the point system and subscription upgrades, but I thought it would still be worth the cost of the dongle. OBDelevenVAG does scan and clear fault codes and the customer service was pretty good, which is why I gave this three stars. When it comes to modifications (part of the reason I got this over something else), I had a ton of trouble. The only mods you can do with a base subscription are apps, not coding (from what I could tell). OBDelevenVAG descriptions are confusing and one of the few apps I bought failed. When I tried to revert to factory settings, OBDelevenVAG wouldn’t let me change anything so the car was still glitching out; finally fixed it today on a fluke. I think I’m done with the hassle of using OBDelevenVAG. If you can get it to work for you, then more power to you.

If you plan on making a lot of customizations, you will be better off with more reasonable competitors like Carista, VCDS and others.

Before July 1, 2022 OBDelevenVAG gave one free daily Credit and allowed watching ads (which pays the developer revenue) to get up to five Credits. This is no longer an option and Credits must be purchased anywhere between US$0.20 and US$0.30 per Credit.

Each action is typically 10 Credits, with the best ones at 100 Credits. That’s easily between US$3 and US$30 per action, even if they fail. This is the biggest downside since the July 1st change.

The Pros is that it works very well on newer vehicles - I have had good experience with Audis and VWs. You should always read the One-Click Apps description before attempting them to make sure you have a compatible vehicle and follow the right steps. All actions in OBDelevenVAG require Credits, including One-Click Apps - Credits will be charged whether they succeed or fail.

The software works perfectly on my 2021 Audi S4 and iPhone 12. Minor warning: I didn’t know that each time you change a setting, it charges you - instead, I thought that the credits were used to buy the function… so be sure what you’re changing to is what you want.

I reached out to customer service on this issue and they were very accommodating. Ultimately, it’s a great product!

Since I have received my Next Gen OBDeleven, I have fixed my Audi A4 B7 airbag faults, identified many little faults and fixed them to include engine mount faults, door panel control faults, and most importantly the AC system. So easy to just connect and read live data rather than getting a laptop out and deal with that.

Only issue I have is, not a lot of information loaded into OBDelevenVAG when coding under details, and some of the modules can’t be opened.

Overall, very simple and very helpful when troubleshooting issues on the car. Keep th updates comeing and thank you

Anyone slamming OBDelevenVAG must not have any idea how to use it. The tool works great and allows you to perform many task and avoid having to go to a dealer. You can avoid having to use points by simply researching performing the same functions through long coding
