RL Garage for Rocket League Reviews

Rl Garage has been a lifesaver for someone like me who just wants a silly car every now and then. A lot of people are complaining about the community in the reviews, but that is not the fault of the developers of RLGarage. RLGarage has a very user friendly and intuitive design. It’s easy to keep track of your own trades, as well as viewing trades set by other members, for example. Everything is easy to find and navigate. The admins, in my experience at least, are fast and fair. When I reported someone for something I thought violated the terms of service, the admins were fast to look into the issue and make a decision. While this decision was not what I hoped it would be, the admin went into specific detail about the reasoning behind the decision and why it was a fair decision. This event really proved to me that the admins at RL Garage care about being fair and will work diligently to do so. While I myself was not ecstatic to see the update about premium, I can’t bring myself to lower my rating of RLGarage because of it. Yes, it can be annoying at times. But RLGarage needs, and deserves, money to continue to run. I understand the reasoning and I genuinely hope it brings in the revenue needed to keep RLGarage up and going because RLGarage is one of the good ones with a team of people running it who truly care about the community it has!

I’ve been waiting for RLGarage for a long time, and I’m so glad that it was finally released. You can see the care and attention to detail in the art design, but unfortunately I can’t say the same about the functionality. While most of the functions from the site are available in RLGarage , it is plagued with never-ending losing screens and constant log-outs. I can use RLGarage just fine for a few minutes or a few searches, but if I leave RLGarage for a while or maybe put it in the background, I’ll land on an endless loading screen when trying to perform just about any action and I am forced to restart RLGarage just to get a few more mins of functionality.

I would also suggest a more streamlined method of searching for items. The current system works fine, but when compared to the RLTP, it just takes so much longer to find the item as well as specify attributes. I highly recommend the removal of spell check in the search field as well, as many of the item names are not common words and auto-correct will have you not only wind up with an incorrect search, but it also adds a space at the end of the word, so even if auto-correct provides the correct item, it will still add a space resulting in a empty search.

Overall, I am excited to use RLGarage and hopefully some QOL updates will allow me to continue using it over the website.

Im really happy that there is an app like this and I use it daily. It makes trading for me so much more easier and RLGarage has many different things to make it a better experience. However lately I’ve been noticing many problems. RLGarage has been bugging a lot. Some of the problems I have been getting are: not getting some message notifications, app is taking absolutely forever to load and sometimes ends up with error, logging in to RLGarage but messages are not appearing, messages taking forever to load; mostly just loading issues everywhere. It’s also not like I have bad internet and a slow phone. I have tried deleting and reinstalling RLGarage multiple times and I’m still receiving the same issues. I don’t know if others are also having the same problem as me. If they are I hope the developer can find a way to fix this. But don’t take this the wrong way, I absolutely love RLGarage when it comes to trading.

Rl garage is a decent place to find specific trades or rare items you are looking for. However the rl garage community is hot garbage. Even if you find the item your looking for, it’s probably some idiot looking for a massive overpay. Adding on, the admins unfairly ban or suspend RLGarage ’s users. For example, I got banned from RLGarage because I made a sarcastic joke about scammers. The kid took it seriously and reported me. Somehow the next day I come back and it shows I’m banned. Great! I complained to them that it was unfair but they completely ignored my arguments and told me that I’m permanently banned, deal with it. After this I just gave up on RLGarage for the most part, until I had an epiphany. I realized that ridiculous lowballs can lead to suspension or ban. This ties into how I got banned, in the sense that I made that joke because the kid offered my 500 and an ncvr for my TW OCTANE!!! I immediately messaged the admins and guess what they responded...deal with it. All in all, RLGarage is decent, it’s community is trash, and the admins unfairly ban and suspend its users.

This is an amazing app I use almost every day and most of my trades come from here, but there are a few bugs and glitches. First of all, this one isn’t actually bad but it annoys me, when u get one message, the top right corner of RLGarage in ur home screen says u have five, very annoying. Also, when someone sends u a message, most of the time the preview of it has a jumble of random stuff, but the messages showed wut they actually said, but sometimes with comments, it just showes up like that so u have to guess wut they said. Also, when ur scrolling thru trades, when u get to the end of the list u can hit next page, but it doesn’t rly work bc u hit next page and it brings u to the next page, but also refreshes all of the trades, so then most of the trades u have already seen pop up again. It’s an amazing app but once u work out all of the kinks it will be perfect.

It is very useful for finding trades but when it comes down to actually doing it there is an issue for me. When I try to chat to the person. It tells me that I have to link an account from a platform. When I try to do so, it always comes up that it can’t connect. For example, I hit the button to link my Xbox account and it will just load until it says, “Xbox Live Profile lookup failed”. I don’t get why it how it would look up my account in the first place. I didn’t even put in my email/password? I think, whatever I’ll just log into another platform and just explain why I’m actually on Xbox but it says I’m in pc/psn. Every single platform had an issue and I can’t chat/comment/post trades. I would be nice to fix the log in process or make it so that you can actually do something on RLGarage without having to log in.

So first of all, RLGarage decides to randomly unlink my account, for which I don’t have access to the email account anymore so I had to make a new account. This is where all the problems begin. I make a new account, seems easy enough except apparently making an account does absolutely nothing for you, you have to link your platform account to this account to be able to send messages. My Xbox account is already registered to my previous account so I can’t use that one, so I have to go out of my way to make another Microsoft account. This isn’t good enough, I have to make an Xbox profile. This isn’t good enough, I have to play the free game to prove I own it (yeah that’s not ridiculous). THIS STILL ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH, I apparently have to win 15 games to attach my account?? Is this a joke?? I have to not even just play but win 15 games just to have the option to get lowballed for items by begging kids all day. Thanks. Fix your app.

I love RLGarage so far and I find it awesome that I can trade for rocket league items on the go, the only thing is I wish it was able to connect with your rocket league locker. Expanding on this I mean in order to put something up for sale you have to know it’s in your locker, rather than RLGarage searching for things you have, I assumed that’s what originally happened since it wanted me to link my account and I just think it would make it so much easier since you won’t have to go into rocket league to see what items you have and instead you have it there on RLGarage .

Okay so I’ve been on RLGarage for about 7 months and for the most part it’s been amazing, maybe a little bit of text lag here and there but it was fine until the most recent update it has been absolutely terrible. Every time I open RLGarage it goes the the trade post screen and then crashes, and it crashes every other app on your mobile device unless you delete it, and when it does open RLGarage the text lag is almost 2 minutes, and message delay is absolutely awful. And the worst part is when RLGarage doesn’t crash and you can be on it the prices are incorrect in every way. It tricks people into thinking that their item is worth more or less. It’s awful and creates a lot of toxicity in the rocket league community. I hope you can fix these problems in your app so people can actually download it without problems.

I was recently banned from the game for a trade scam. What happened was someone wanted to buy and item I was trading I told him it was sold he got mad said he really want it. I told him there was nothing I can do it’s gone he then told me I was being reported for scamming him for a fake deal. After countless tries to reach the support line it didn’t work one single time every-time I tried the message would get an error. I emailed asking for reasoning behind it and they never respond. I’m deeply disappointed in the management of RLGarage I hope they get rid of everyone and replace them with people who can take the time to really look into reports as well as genuinely care about the community. I sense a serious lack of care for the players of the game. RLGarage only cares for the people buy and selling items. As for the current management I’m still waiting for the reasoning behind it and even a response at all.

It's a good free trade finder and most of community is good. But OMG the ads is getting annoying. The mobile app contains full screen unskippable ad with timer and every time you open RLGarage they nag you about the 2.99 per month subscription. On the desktop website they added a subscription ballon that wiggles and follows you everywhere and an timed adblocker detector. Look I know server time costs money but rl garage is only what it is because of the users community. Not every trader can afford 2.99 nor does rl garage help most people make that much anyway. I support rl garage through the itemshop but apparently it is not enough. If you think you are gonna annoy me into spending 2.99/month you are dead wrong. RL garage as is right now is just constanly daring me to go back to discord and insider trade finder. Please stop this.

RLGarage serves a great purpose. As far as RL trading goes, it’s certainly the most active and reliable platform. If you wanna get into trading, you need RLGarage. It’s also extremely well moderated and they do their best to keep it clean. There are still many spammer, scammers, and trolls, but I don’t blame that on RLG.

However, RLGarage (and website) are a disaster. They are both constantly glitchy and very slow. There are various different bugs that you’re likely to encounter about half of the time you’re on RLGarage . There’s a severe input lag when selecting different items and sending messages. The servers die on RLGarage more often than they die on Rocket League, and that’s saying something.

I still use RLGarage because it provides a service that I really like but I do so begrudgingly because it is truly a mess. It’s a shame.

There’s too many issues I have with RLGarage in general but there are two main ones I have an issue with: battery consumption and ads. RLGarage drains phone battery so quickly and it does it for absolutely no reason. It drains battery faster than Snapchat and tiktok combined in a shorter period of time to the point where I can’t even have RLGarage open for more than 15 minutes without seeing a major change in my battery level. I’ve actually checked and it drains more battery than COD mobile. Idk how it’s possible when nothing is usually happening on the screen, except for ads, which is my second biggest issue. There are ads everywhere. There’s nothing else to it. And the ads are usually porn. Thought that last part was kinda important.

It pains me to leave this review because in general I love RLGarage . Getting to post and search for trades makes the market much easier to navigate than through the old discord server I was using. That being said, RLGarage is ridiculously slow and buggy. Half the time I can’t even open messages other users send me without having to refresh and error prompt 3, 4, or 5 times. It’s very frustrating when you’re trying to close a deal that you can’t even write someone back. This doesn’t even cover the amount of downtime and server lag that I’ve been experiencing. I know it’s not my phone as I’m on a brand new 12, so I just don’t know what the issue is. Overall good concept and design choices, but awful user experience in terms of speed.

Dear rlg administrator or developer, around 3 weeks or so ago, I had received a notification saying that my account had been de activated. I had not been given ANY prior warnings and had been on good terms with everyone I had traded with. I was not notified of my reason for the ban/deactivation. I was also never pushed to read their trade rules or acknowledge them when I signed up for an account. As far as I know, I haven’t broken any of the trade rules to get you banned or warned. To add, I have already submitted a ticket about my problem around 3 weeks ago and haven’t received a message or email that was associated with my account. It happened a few days after they pushed the overhaul of an update that, in my opinion, made the usability of RLGarage to people who have used it for awhile now terrible.

RLGarage is super convenient because it’s really nice to be able to post and bump trades without having to get out my laptop. The interface looks good and is easy to use and navigate and I think RLGarage has a lot of potential to be really useful. However, it’s currently filled with bugs that make RLGarage unusable. I’ve run into all kinds of issues from slow load times and the submit button now working on trades to being unable to log in or RLGarage crashing when I open my profile. The only way to resolve these issues is to delete and reinstall RLGarage , which is obviously not practical and very frustrating. Once RLGarage gets a decent patch, I think it will be a huge breakthrough for mobile RL trading.

this app is a very useful app, but there are still a few glitches that can be frustrating at times. Usually I can deal with them, but once they start happening often it’s annoying. The glitch that I notice the most is that sometimes the keyboard freezes in the middle of a sentence and it takes more than 15-20 seconds just to be able to type again. This is especially annoying when ur trying to chat someone and get a deal down quickly but your keyboard freezes mid sentence. Overall, I still think it’s a great app, just need a few bug fixes.

While aesthetically pleasing, RLGarage is incredibly frustrating from a usage standpoint. See below:

I have tried to update my profile photo for three days and all I get is a white screen that says “updated” in small font, while I go back to my profile and nothing has changed.

RLGarage slows my phone down by an incredible amount after a short amount of time. The push notifications from other app users messaging you also comes out as symbols rather than letters from the message sender. The filtration also could be better; for some people who are new to trading they may want to find for ex. an unpainted mudcat gxt on switch, all the while that item is untradable. This would leave a novice trader in and endless search for said item.

Tonight I can’t even connect to RLGarage . I’ve been trying for well over an hour because I needed to contact a fellow trade partner, but I repeatedly come to a failure to connect screen.

All in all there are aspects that I like about RLGarage , but the negatives at this point outweigh the positives of what you get out of it.

If your looking for trades this is a decent app. It has its fair share of glitches though but that is pretty much the same for every app so I can deal with it. Sometimes you have the occasional person who is super annoying and asking for a massive overpay. Now I’ve discussed some negatives, I want to talk about the mechanics that I like about RLGarage . First, I love the fact that you can find the exact item you want with a certain color or certification. Also, it is very easy to chat with people and get a certain trade really fast (most of the time). And that’s about it for my review it’s a decent app and a good idea!

Rocket league garage is a amazing app where you can trade easily but like every good thing it has its ups and downs. My one problem is RLGarage is just so laggy. I’ll open RLGarage and it will work flawlessly and then toward the 5-10 minute mark my phone will feel really delayed and laggy. Like the type of lag you experience when your phone is about to die and for me that is unbearable! So if you could fix this one tiny mistake that would make it a 5 star in my eyes but until then it’s a 4 star.

I have been a long time user of RL Garage’s website and when I saw there was an app I downloaded it immediately. It is a very well made app and you can see how much thought went into the whole design.

It is missing a few QOL things that I think would make RLGarage even better. Two huge things that are necessary for me to give RLGarage 5 stars is being to delete old messages so I don’t have a huge backlogs of replies. Also being able to upload screenshots for reporting issues should be a built in feature to RLGarage to make reports easier and quicker.

Great app all together I am still really impressed.

RLGarage tends to randomly kick me out at times and i have to re-log back in. It didn’t really bother me until it kept saying my password was wrong. I ended up making a new account but when i tried putting in my psn account it wouldn’t let me because it said it was linked with the old account. So now i’m kind of stuck in this situation :/ Other then that i do like RLGarage , but now i cant post any trades

This is so helpful. Trading on the website version would log me out always but now on RLGarage I am always logged on and this is just so much easier than trying to scroll to find the item you want to trade

I can’t tell when I get a message and sometimes I lose a trade because of it and I get frustrated if notifications were added to RLGarage it would eliminate this experience and create an overall better app and receive a 5 star rating

I love RLGarage but I’d also love to see some improvements. I’d like to be able to go to peoples profiles from there comments so I can get in contact with them after I get home from school instead of hoping to find them by accident.

There should probably be a report feature for people trying to scam or just spam posting and not answering anyone. Plus the message you can only see messages that other people sent you so if you sent a message you wouldn’t be able to see it anymore

When setting filters for what to search for RLGarage consistently freezes every single time. I’ll choose the item and then try to change it from “I want” to “I have” and boom, RLGarage freezes. Closing and restarting never fixed it. I hope RLGarage gets better because it would be very convenient.

It is honestly really easy to use! It also has other things other than trading and it is very helpful to find what you need!

Have no problems other than that you currently cannot put more than 50 credits on trades while using RLGarage . Otherwise it’s a great, useful app.

Some major things that are missing: there's no ability to have an inventory through RLGarage. This basically means you can't keep an inventory (obviously), you can't create a trade using inventory items, you can't filter a trade search for items wanted that you have.
Way too many steps for it to be helpful.

I like RLGarage it’s nice and simple and clean. But with the addition of name changes for psn it would be nice to be able to edit our names in app.

It’s a great app and utilizes the trading platform very well, but has some random unexpected slowdowns and crashes sometimes. Other than that it works for what it needs to do.

Great app and it has helped me so many times. I wish there was a way to pin conversations so you can remember them for later. Thanks

I would love RLGarage so much more if I would actually post a trade instead it just flashes a black box for half a second and I can’t read what it says. I looked around and it’s some gammer tag thing and I have no idea how to set it up if you know please help me.
