Aluratek Smart Frame Reviews

I was setting the frame up for a Christmas gift and while yes, the text in the boxes is hard to read ... it didn’t keep me from quickly and easily setting up an app account and getting the frame set up. The transfer from AluratekSmartFrame works seamlessly. I’m very happy with this function. I have been unable to get the email delivery of photos set up at this point but can understand, based on the reviews and the fact that it’s Christmas that the company is likely overwhelmed. Being a small business owner, myself, I can sympathize. As a work around until the email function is resolved, I’ve set up family members as users on their own apps and bound the device to their app. This works if anyone is having issues ... hopefully the email function is fixed quickly. Overall I am not unhappy, will not be returning the frame and look forward to purchasing another one for myself. Hopefully this helps get through the holidays! Merry Christmas!

I bought this for my grandmother, and set it up in under 10 minutes. I have an iPhone X, and I was able to see the text that I was typing- not sure what the deal was with others. I panicked when I saw the reviews, but I already had a backup plan in mind- type the text on the Notepad app, copy, and paste in AluratekSmartFrame. I wasn’t going to fail with this gift!!!
My frame ID was SIX letters, and my confirmation was six NUMBERS.
I can only send nine pictures at once from my phone, but they quickly load on the frame. Grandma doesn’t have WiFi, so the new pics did not load until I used my Personal Hotspot as WiFi, and connected her frame. They came in as fast as text messages. I’m happy with my purchase, and AluratekSmartFrame !!!!

Overall I’ve had a pretty good experience with the product takes a little getting used to but once you have it set up via Wi-Fi or 5G it sends the photos over pretty quickly unless they’re large photos it takes a little bit the only features that I could see that would really help is if in AluratekSmartFrame itself, you could see what photos were actually on the picture frame and you could delete them off from your app. This was a gift for my parents from all of the grandkids so it’s kind a hard if somebody sends A duplicate photo and you can’t delete it from your app.

This is a terrible product. If you try to use a usb it works but overheats. If you try to use the internet route using your pc only allows for five pics max to get downloaded before shutting down in error. Same issue when trying to transfer via phone and your lucky if they save to the device or app at all. Checked to see if it was my WiFi. My WiFi is not the problem. Trying to transfer pictures in general using AluratekSmartFrame or the picture frame device is terrible. It would serve better as a table weight than anything picture related. Extremely disappointed in this garbage product returning now.

I got this as a present for my wedding, at first I set it up and made several attempts to send photos. After a while of attempts I gave up, but hours later I came back and all of the photos were on there. It looks like it will take a while for photos to send once it’s set up, but when it does it works beautifully. I highly recommend!

The frame had some nice features. Like it is set to wake up and sleep. It automatically starts the picture show. Great for my dad who has dementia in a care home.
It is very difficult to get pictures to it. The email option hasn’t worked. AluratekSmartFrame won’t access my photo library-only if I go completely out of AluratekSmartFrame delete it from the screen and open it again. I can’t get rid of any of the photos in the apps library.

Tried using it but it says it couldn’t find the device. Searched up and down to figure out how to put photos on the digital frame and all I accomplished was running in circles.
This frame was a Christmas gift but I’m at the point where I’m throwing it in the garbage instead of returning it because this thing has frustrated me enough to demolish it with a sledgehammer and no one should be put through that much of a headache.
This is actually a zero star product for how ultimately useless it is. Save your money and avoid everything this brand has been near.

Had a few difficulties setting this up and I wanted to leave a review as you have to go through the My Devices and create an email account for your frame so you can email it. After this you will see a new request on the frame itself under user management stating there is a new user request. Once you accent this you are ready to rock n roll!

AluratekSmartFrame is poorly made. When you type something in the fields to create an account you can’t even see the letters you’re typing. The instructions are useless. The photos I uploaded won’t even show up in the gram and it’s been over an hour. Not sure what the standard is. But this is ridiculous. I tried uploading the original file and the non-original file. Still doesn’t work so it isn’t a size issue. It shouldn’t be a format issue either because that would defeat the whole purpose of sending photos from your iPhone and into the frame.

AluratekSmartFrame is Horrible- really. Forget about the fact that you can’t see the text in the white text fields as you type when trying to set up the account- or trying to log in—- it also just plain doesn’t work half the time. Not gonna fix it? Think I’ll be returning the frames I bought....

Dark mode causes the white text issue- so turn off dark mode and issue resolved.
As for the send failed error- I tried to send a pic again this morning ( from outside the local network) and it worked- so... gonna give this another chance

I bought this frame as a gift and am really happy with how it looks. Sending the pics is another story. The email address option seems awesome, but they don’t arrive. Using AluratekSmartFrame seems like it would be easy too, but it’s not. After you send 9 pictures, it doesn’t allow access to your photo library anymore. I’m not sure why or if there’s some way to undo it. This needs to be changed or AluratekSmartFrame is useless.

Hey guys, none of the fields show what’s been typed, or don’t even show the heading title. I’m trying to upload pics for my parents for Christmas and can’t even get into AluratekSmartFrame to do so!!! This should be an immediate fix! I’ve deleted and Re downloaded AluratekSmartFrame several times. I’m surprised since the last post on dec 1st. where this was recognized it’s not fixed yet. Starting to regret my purchase decision... please fix immediately!

I received this frame as a Mother’s Day gift and I’ve really been enjoying it. My kids send photos regularly and I’m always delighted to find the new photos show up in the slide show. I had no problem setting it up and it has worked exactly as expected.

The white screen problem is fixed by going to Settings-General-Display and Brightness and changing your background of your iPhone back to the “Light” setting...Every body changed their background to Dark setting in the last IPhone update.

Worked just fine for me. Was quick. Only suggestion is to increase the amount of pics you can upload at one time. Other than that, it worked very well.

AluratekSmartFrame is set so you are typing in white font on a white background!!! It’s horrible!
I managed to set it up despite not being able to see what I’m typing by crossing my fingers and hoping I spelt things right...let’s just say we now have a weird email address for our frame!
This should be an easy fix with an immediate update for AluratekSmartFrame !!!

There may have been kinks in AluratekSmartFrame at one time, and it may be a wee bit slow idiosyncratic, but you can pretty quickly figure out what to do to transfer photos from a device, and it works just fine.

Not sure why AluratekSmartFrame has so many bad reviews. As a family we downloaded AluratekSmartFrame created our accounts and started using it. Works great so far!

I used to be able to send full sized images to the frame. Now when I select that option it still sends the compressed preview version to the frame. What happened??

I’m an IT professional and it took me an hour to set this thing up. When you type any text in AluratekSmartFrame it’s invisible (though still works.) setup of the frame is very unintuitive. I think I properly uploaded photos but after 30 minutes they’re still not on the frame and there’s no manual sync or any way to check what’s supposed to happen next.

I was so excited to receive this but I can’t send any pictures to the frame. Please fix this one bug. I really want this to work.

For the amount of money the frame was, i would expect AluratekSmartFrame to at least let you log in. AWFUL!!! I was very excited to give this present to our grandmother but obviously this frame is going back the return pile. Truly ridiculous that AluratekSmartFrame doesn’t even work. I have deleted and redownload AluratekSmartFrame multiple times. I even restarted my phone and tried separate devices. Worst purchase.

I read the reviews and I don’t think it deserves all the hate. There’s nothing flashy but it got the job done and worked fine for me.

Bought 2 of the 10” digital frames. Neither will “bind” to this account. Tried everything I know to do. Each connects to WiFi, this program seems to send a request to bind to the frame then nothing happens with the user management screen. Tells me it is their server or this software or both. 0 stars for program / software and server.
