Why can’t I just pay you a few dollars for this one time? These devs think we should rent every single app on our devices. I have hundreds of apps, that would be ridiculous. It’s a nice looking app but not worth a monthly cost. Why would anyone pay monthly for this or any tv show tracker??

I merely pointed out that this developer has a history of abandoning his paid apps. He released a previous version of TVForecast almost a decade ago that he gradually stopped updating without any heads-up to his paying customers. I used to find his app indispensable but this new incarnation doesn’t measure up against all the superior television-tracking apps that have sprung up in the interim.

A lot of the favorable reviews here also happen to be the developer’s friends.

I don’t know why, but all the date and times are way off on most of the series I watch. For instance, it will say the next episode is on a Thursday when it actually isn’t available until Friday. Rather irritating!

Every so often I try out TVForecast again, and each time there’s a major bug or glitch (syncing isn’t accurate, wish list freezes/causes app to crash, etc), and so every time I end up giving up on it after a day or two. The design is nice but it still doesn’t work reliably.

I’m always on the lookout for a new TV tracking app, and I was really excited about TV Forecast. I love the look of TVForecast. It feels so clean and modern, and it’s a pleasure to be in.

Using it is a different story. If it’s barebones by design, I think it’s gone too far in that direction. I’d like even a small level of customization options. When I’m looking at Up Next, I see the next episode to air, not the next unwatched episode. This means nothing if I’m not caught up. When I’m looking at Your Progress, I have no options for changing the order (that I could see). It defaults to alphabetical, but it would great to be able to sort by number of episodes left unwatched, or air date of the next unwatched episode.

And this is a BIG pet peeve of mine. It alphabetizes shows starting with “The” under T. So the only sort order is alphabetical, but even THAT doesn’t function accurately.

I’ll keep TVForecast, and I look forward to updates. But if I’m going to pay a subscription fee, I’d love to see this kind of basic functionality.

Nice-looking app, but I’d REALLY like to be able to sort my “in progress” view. Right now, it’s just alphabetical, which isn’t how I choose to watch TV. Otherwise, works as advertised.

I really want to like TVForecast. It’s one of the best looking TV trackers but is absolutely plagued with sync issues. It OFTEN loses track of what episodes you’ve marked as watch, entire shows disappear even if you have I watched episodes, sometimes show lose all watched progress... it’s almost unusable with these issues. Too bad because TVForecast is great looking.

Ever since the actual best tracking app stopped being updated, I’ve started using this one because it’s the best available - but that doesn’t mean it’s Actually the best. The check in process could be more intuitive, having to switch pages between tracking unmatched episodes and upcoming episodes is frustrating, and there’s a lot of white space that feels like it could be put to better use. But it’s better looking than everything else, so I’ll use it. But I hope for more.

It’s a fantastic app and very handy for keeping track of everything I’m watching.

I just wish it had more options with notifications. Such as notifications for the start of a new season only. Or for specific shows.

For someone that catches up later I don’t necessarily need a notification for every episode but would love one for when a season returns. Or for the shows I am caught up on.

Otherwise it’s fantastic and I love the UI.

Favorite TV schedule app. But the last update forced keyboard entry to alway be in horizontal mode. Please bring back vertical mode! Even have to swipe TVForecast closed using swipe left instead of swipe up.

This looks nice but is missing essential features like adjusting the order in which show are shown in your lists.

Quite often the widget won’t refresh and cannot connect to Trakt

Great design and support for the latest iOS features like widgets! I’d love a similar app focused on movie tracking!

Matt, TVForecast displays in Eastern time as the default. Is there a way to set my specific time zone?

Been using the old TV Show app until it was no longer supported on new iOS versions. So happy it’s back.

I love how TVForecast sends me push notifications when my shows are about to air!

Best app I’ve used to track my progress watching shows and knowing when the next episode is coming out.

TVForecast is fantastic. Being able to track where I am with shows I gave up on, read synopsis, and know when shows are returning, it’s a brilliant app. Great job. Can you make one for movies? :)

Best TV tracking app I’ve used in a long time. Became my go to app since I started it using it in the beta. Most others mess up your Trakt progress. It’s fast, clean UI and practical.

I have tried so many tv show tracker apps. This one is so beautiful and well put together. It is simple, but very functional.

The only thing I would want added that I can see right now is a rating system that would possibly sync with Trakt.

This latest update just set my tracking progress back several weeks on every show I’m currently watching. TVForecast also keeps constantly flashing this pop up message that it’s syncing with Trakt. It’s annoying and in the way. Every update adds new bugs. I’ll be unsubscribing and looking for yet another tv tracking app soon.

I love TVForecast. I’ve been using Next Episode for years and it was good but TVForecast does the same with a fresh design and clean interface . I have switched over and this is now my go to TV Show tracking app. It does not have widget support but with iOS14 expanding on widgets big time, my hope is TVForecast gets widget support soon.
