I downloaded this on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It made my phone act crazy. It started lagging really bad and when I did the IOS 15 software update, I literally could not get my Wi-Fi to stay connected. It would only come on for a split second and go back off. The VPN on phone kept going on and off consistently. Didn’t even realize app had a VPN. If it doesn’t have a VPN then it just apparently freaked out the VPN slide button on settings. I don’t think DigitalSecure has a VPN UNLESS you are using Wi-Fi. It doesn’t protect your browsing when you are just using LTE or 5G. DigitalSecure would never let me turn on the actual browser protection. Every time I tried turning it on it would search and search and then suddenly stop. App has good ratings but did not work very well for me at all and I have been a Verizon Customer for over 20 years. This supposedly comes with my plan even though I’d recently just realized they offered the protection.

I have found that many times when I check my safe and secure it is not working. I always have to go in and switch it on it has been the worst service I’ve ever had. I am now worried that my service has been hacked and have had to call and spent countless hours on the phone with customer service representative and the fraud department to ensure that my phone has not been hacked. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the service I have received and have Proof of the countless hours that my phone was not protected or my Internet service. It will be great if someone would contact me on my cell phone so that we can discuss a refund for all the countless hours that I did not receive the protection that I thought I would receive with this service.

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and every time I have to manually turn on VPN, then when I’m using data it shows VPN on??? No matter what I do, multiple calls to Verizon it still lists me as a basic user… However I pay for the TMP multiple device $50 dollars a month (Verizon) for 3 devices only to be told 1. it doesn’t work on my 12.9 iPad Pro at all or my iphone. Says I’m a basic user, tried adding device through DigitalSecure links and Verizon app but nothing works. Even the Verizon tech support couldn’t give me an answer. Basically paying for device insurance when I already have apple care for that?!!!! Absolute Waste of $50 dollars a month plus I can’t cancel according to verizon.

I had DigitalSecure was paying on it around a year. They never alerted me when my Facebook account had been hacked and another Facebook account was linked to mine so they don’t catch what’s going on your phone or tablet they just take your monthly payment and stick it in their pocket. Even took my iPhone 11 up to Verizon and showed them the Facebook accounts that was linked to my phone so now I don’t trust my phone cause I don’t know who’s in it and what all they have access to so I’m out $800 for a iPhone 11 put a year of payments of 5.95 a mouth.

DigitalSecure has caused issues with connection to the cloud; even Google Maps would not load anything from the cloud, and therefore, no map. After several hours with tech support, with both the Verizon and Apple teams, who were both very helpful, the Apple support guy was able to get my phone working again, as it should. Save yourself the trouble and find another option. The Verizon Techs just don’t know anything about this issue, as helpful as they may be in trying to find the solution.

Got a notification from DigitalSecure that my info is on the dark web, but clicking the notification opened DigitalSecure with no info about this supposed breach and in fact showed 0 breaches. Contacted their chat to find out what this was all about, and their response was to try to sell me on getting more devices set up for this apparently fake monitoring. So DigitalSecure appears to be nothing more than a clever way for Verizon to instill fear and get you to hand over more and more of your data to them. No thanks.

When I put DigitalSecure on my phone it asked for an email I put my husbands email due to that is the email on the Verizon account. Now it won’t let me change it. I deleted DigitalSecure multiple time and put in my address and it literally starts circling and then just stops when it gets to the black web. It won’t go no further. The security didn’t help either. I can’t even rate something that I can’t get into.

At first DigitalSecure seemed great but then I started to realize that it would never stay connect, apps would freeze when connected to the internet and I’d have to check everything, just to find my my VPN was disconnected or the Safe Wi-Fi was disconnected again. Started to pay close attention and it disconnects all the time. Every couple minutes.

Cannot get the safe wifi or the identity theft protection to activate. Verizon has done all the trouble shooting that they can, conferenced with McAfee, McAfee refused to troubleshoot the digital secure even though that was the last step that tear 2 Verizon tech coach had as far as trouble shooting. Very poor customer service from the company who runs the software! It's a shame that I'm paying for a product that won't work and can't get any trouble shooting from McAfee!

The web security and safe WiFi keep turning OFF. I have no way of knowing this unless I check each security feature on DigitalSecure . This means I have to keep checking and turning them on the again. This is very irritating!!! Makes me wonder whether DigitalSecure provides any security. I’m looking for a better option. Please fix it!

Before the last update I connected to my Wi-Fi just fine, but now I thought I was connected to my home Wi-Fi but instead I’ve been on 5G the whole time! I checked it Wi-Fi assist was off and it was off. I reconnected via settings to the Wi-Fi and no luck. I enable the VPN on settings in IPhone and it says connecting on both Personal and regular VPN modes. Please fix this

I’ve had 3 separate chats with the digital secure team. 1st call: advised I delete DigitalSecure and reinstall; same issue of the safe-Wi-Fi turning on and off. 2nd call; I was told to go to settings and turn on the protect me from unknown networks feature; same issues as before. The icing on the cake was yesterday’s rep told me to contact McAfee. Why should I call the developer? That’s on Verizon to do to make sure the product they are selling to their customers works. Digital Secure worked for awhile and then it didn’t. I don’t see any reason to keep using the product if it’s not working. Very disappointed in Verizon. Signed- a very, very longtime customer.

Catching a slippery pig is difficult right? Same here using DigitalSecure is the same thing. How else can you describe the function of DigitalSecure ? Constantly dropping the VPN, I also have to reinitiate the VPN settings on my phone almost daily. It drops the VPN while using so if you’re not careful you’ll be using an unsecured connection without your knowledge.

Same issue I’m having with this is that it for some reason continually turns itself off and I keep trying to reinstall and reset my network or Wi-Fi, but it doesn’t fix it. It keeps taking me off and will show it’s on in the dashboard, but when I am actually in DigitalSecure it’s showing turned off and asks me to tap on the button to turn it on. It also shows that there is threats and when I go into that it shows nothing. So, hopefully this will be looked at and someone will help fix this issue because it’s never worked properly.

Would give it 5 stars but web protection becomes unprotected multiple times daily.
You have to hit on before it reattaches. My computer always stays attached to web unless I was to sign out with my chrome book. Of course you are not protected when this part of app goes off. I hope developer understands this.

After just 24 hours my protection under the networks protected tab went 01 to 00. Is this something that needs to be re-activated on a daily basis? I just don’t think that this should be happening. It leaves me wide open for attacks which is what I’m trying to avoid.

DigitalSecure seems okay so far, but frustrating that it has to be turned off every time I use my Verizon FIOS TV app for it to work. You would think Verizon would have figured out how to make DigitalSecure work better with its own app.
Tech support said there’s nothing they can do because it’s McAfee.

DigitalSecure works really well and it’s very helpful to get notified when something is at risk or see when and how my information was obtained.
My only issue is when trying to clear the recent threats in my wifi history, DigitalSecure crashes.
Other than the crashes DigitalSecure works great.

DigitalSecure is terrible. The connection time is ridiculous slow. DigitalSecure never stays connected to safe browsing mode. When you click on the apportion support option is says page not found. Also the scan always says my iPhone 11 Pro is jail broken when it’s not. Although it does accurately tell me if I don’t have passcode enabled an if I am connected to unsecure WiFi I get an alert. Although even if I do get an unsecured WiFi alert the safe WiFi options never engages an if I manually try to turn it on nothing happens. DigitalSecure is a joke an definitely should not be listed as a security app. Thank you an have a good day.

I scanned my phone after receiving an alert about a security risk. It came back with a risk stating my iPhone 11 was jail broken which it isn’t, and gave me the option to fix it or ignore it. I chose fix it and it went to a blank “Label” pop up box with a blank black button at the bottom that took me to security settings when pushed. Tech Coach said it is fine, just a glitch. Everything I read says if you’re phone is jail broken it can void any warranties with Apple and Verizon. So frustrated right now.

I get an alert I need to fix a security issue “device jailbroken”. I have never jailbroken my device, I don’t even know how. When I click fix, it pops up with a window that says “Label” with a blank button. What is this?

Says phone is jail broken. Called Verizon and they connected me with McAfee which informed me this is a known issue and they are working on it. McAfee called me after 5 days to tell me the issue has been resolved. Nope, still junk. Would be a great app if it worked as it worked fine prior to the latest iOS update.

The VPN keeps turning off. So I have to go into DigitalSecure and turn it on. When I do a scam of my home WiFi network. I get a message saying one threat found and it says my device is jail broken. My phone is not jail broken. Please fix these problems DigitalSecure is right now useless.

Doesn’t work well. It won’t stay on, have to turn the phone off and then back on, wait awhile and hope that it works. I’m sticking with my on vpn subscription with Xfinity.

Verizon has great support! However, the digital safe app does NOT show or recognize when you are being hacked and you can literally be being hacked at the time of the scan and it says everything is fine! I have lost so many accounts it’s unreal and the entire time DigitalSecure said everything was great. Yeah, great for the hackers!!

I hate how DigitalSecure doesn’t automatically turn on the safe WiFi feature. I always have to turn it on. It also always shuts off the safe browsing/web security. I just hate that it doesn’t stay in the in setting I place it in. Very annoying especially since I pay for it.

Even if there is signal coming from the WiFi, Digital safe is having problems making connections so I’m not going to use it until there are improvements in with the way is performed.

I love the concept of this product. However, it CONSTANTLY turns off. I am having to go back in DigitalSecure frequently to reconnect. That is my only complaint, but it’s a big one. I can never trust that my connection is indeed encrypted.

Please figure out how to make DigitalSecure more stable. It is constantly disconnecting/turning off. I get messages saying not connected to the internet but I am. It is really problematic to need to turn WiFi off/on or reboot my phone entirely to get DigitalSecure to turn on the VPN. By the way, I have an iPhone 11with the most up to date software.

I have about 2weeks and have it installed on a iPhone XR. I like the features it claims to offer. But I noticed it turns off on it’s own a lot, and I’m constantly having to go to DigitalSecure and open settings and flip the options on DigitalSecure on. Please try to correct that. I would love to continue with service but I need a stable reliable Security app.

App constantly tells me I’m unsecured/at risk, but will not make a VPN
I have enjoyed it. The VPN and web security came with my s22 ultra from Verizon. I did IP and DNS checks and it works!
App does not stay connected, so doesn't protect if it's off. App sometimes won't load too, and searching for it in the Google playstore is useless because it's not there. Sometimes a version comes up that has most of the features stripped out. I do not have social accounts anymore because other people have access to them and post weird stuff. Verizon staff have spent hours but no results. They say the app is for other stuff than online protection and phishing but won't say what. VPN won't work, and sometimes weird sites pop up and weird emails and texts come to me.
Im trying to get rid of Digital Secure again. Verizon sent an email saying that they had installed Digital Security Verizon chat line is useless. I have to keep signing in and I keep getting kicked out. FRUSTRATED with the whole thing. Trying to talk to customer service is a joke, it's difficult to understand them with their accents
Imagine my surprise when I received an email from verizon saying that they installed digital secure. After all the time I spent getting rid of it, this is just too frustrating
Because I have an android phone, i only had one option so I disabled digital secure and my phone has returned to normal. I know I won't be recommending it
After spending hours dealing with digital secure and never making any progress, I went on line and because my phone is android my only options were uninstall or disable. My phone has made a great recovery! No more black or white screens, everything is back to normal
I've read through reviews on digital secure, they are not positive reviews and that I shouldn't install it on my androud phone, that it isn't recommended to use. ALL I WANT TO DO NOW IS GET RID OF IT. Because I have an android phone I have only 2 options, disable or uninstall

My phone does not hold the charge very long.. when checking battery use age, digital secure uses nearly 50 %. Is that normal? This is a new concern as I didn’t have to charge so often.
I see 7 security problems, app does not stay on wiifii protect, have to turn it on all the time. My passwords are constantly being changed when I just changed them. This app really has a lot of bugs in them and almost not even worth the time it takes to set it up.
Had issues getting on to WiFi while traveling, couldn’t get into some apps and had to uninstall then reinstall them. Could not screenshare with either Verizon or APPLE to trouble shoot issue . Verizon support never questioned VPN as a potential problem. AT Apple store VPN noted to be off but intermittently trying to connect. Apple tech had to disable and factory reset my phone bc Verizon tech support even upper level was clueless I have spent over 10hrs troubleshooting this iphone12 mini. Not sure if problem is fix until I travel again. Should digit secure keep you from joining WiFi while traveling. WiFi in question was a Verizon gigabit network?
Suddenly unable to secure phone permissions
Phone permission denied. I've been on the phone several times since I upgraded my phone, with tech coaches. No resolution. Then when someone "higherup", web designer was supposed to call back, never did. Honestly, I'm ready to return this upgraded phone and reactivate my older model phone.
Verizon has been billing me $10/month since 10/16/2020 for Digital Secure, but shows on their Customer Account Online that I have the "FREE" version in three separate screens and has the phone number listed on their Installed Apps Summary Page "VZ Secure BASIC via Verizon Wireless Mobile" So - $80 later and two Customer Service Representatives debating whether the CUSTOMER should check their bills versus subscribed services (which say it's FREE) later ... they offered $45 (56% of the value for services not received, charged and not notified there was a cost - still showing as "Free" on my Account Summary). Never mind the poor service for whatever version I actually DO have!
My digital secure keeps going on and off, aka disconnected eventhough I'm at home with my wifi!! Also, I have a message, but cannot locate where/what digital secure sent me. Also, my identity theft is not working, keeps saying try again....... I about ready to just junk this app
