Charlotte News from WCNC Reviews

I am so disappointed with CharlotteNewsfromWCNC. I will receive a notification from CharlotteNewsfromWCNC and then have a hard time finding it once in CharlotteNewsfromWCNC . There hardly seems to be any content on actual news stories. CharlotteNewsfromWCNC focuses on the weather and their secondary reporting.

Why make it more difficult to find the content your users really want? Take the weather forecast for example: instead of being able to easily access the WCNC forecast—NOT the “my location” forecast, which isn’t terribly accurate BTW—I have to fish around and view videos just to see what Larry Sprinkle predicts. Not a fan of the new format. Please go back to the basics.

Why is it that recently on both my iPhone and iPad Pro, the live news cast endlessly buffers while the many required preliminary ads don’t ? And it isn’t due to my WiFi or some other such reason.

I understand the need for ads. That’s why pays to keep CharlotteNewsfromWCNC up and running. Nothing is free... But seriously, do I have to sit through a Chevrolet ad every time I want to watch a live update from the federal, state, or local government. And if I need to switch to something and check back, I have to go through the ad process again.

The new app is pretty, it’s decent. You can easily find what you are looking for. The one thing that’s irritating me is the notifications. I love Brad and his honest forecasting. He’s awesome, and really the main reason I prefer this news station. I have my notifications set to just weather. And here I am, getting notifications randomly of everything under the sun.

I just want weather notifications. That’s it. Just weather. Juuuuust weather.

Your commercials are too constant and long. I wish commercials were 20 seconds or less. Then I wouldn’t mind and I might actually remember the commercial and consider the business doing the commercial for future business. No one likes to be forced to see something and If you mist at least don’t take so much of our precious time annoying us with your commercials and advertisements.

I appreciate that they are calm when they speak on serious issues and don’t act like it’s the end of the world, especially when it’s hurricane season or right now. They state the facts with strength in their voices but don’t yell it like they where scolding a child, or having a heated disagreement. They are friendly to deal with and prompt at answering your questions. They are my go to channel!

Great access to news and weather for my area. Love it’s ease of use and how easy it is to find information.

Great updates on local news.

Too slow to open up and print could be larger. Otherwise good articles with variety.

I like how I can look and see exactly what is going on in my hometown area as well as other places!! It is helpful when family loves all over.

Things to improve. Anchors saying “yes” instead of “yeah”. Weather people learning the local pronunciation of Cheraw and Lancaster. Say our weather vs my weather forecast. Great station. Long time viewer. And forget the days accurate in forecast. Suggestions.

Over the past years, SNL has the very last Season 47 episode when it was seen in the news.

Spelling on news stories needs to be checked more closely. Slow down and get it right.

WCNC is my go to news source. I have my coffee with them each morning and tune in each evening. Always pay attention to Brad Panovich’s weather report. Keep up the great work to keep us informed about local and National news.

I enjoy the information it provides

I understand paid advertising and how it works but it’s so incredibly frustrating to watch the same Chevy ad before I view each story. If anything the ads make me not want to buy a Chevy more than I already didn’t and steer clear of CharlotteNewsfromWCNC .

Whoever designed this new app needs a career change. The new app is completely unintuitive, wastes my time with a video loading screen, and is way too hard to find anything.

The old app was awesome. The new one is horrible. Your weather team is is second to none, it was the only one I watched. I will continue to watch it on TV. But will be finding another app to view on my iPad/IPhone......

Not a fan of the ap. Seems to be more focused on advertising revenue than news. But the content itself is littered with errors. They really need to hire people who can write, spell and proofread. Or an editor or two.

I’ve always used the WCNC app for news and weather however I’m not a fan of the new app. All the graphics are visually appealing but it drains my battery and the interface is very slow as a result. Hopefully the developers will fix some of these issues and roll out an update soon.

It’s visually unappealing, slower than the previous version, crashes more and the home screen looks like click-bait links.

Bring back the old version.

Can’t find where they give the hourly % chance of rain. Also when I am traveling I can change CharlotteNewsfromWCNC to show me the weather for that town. (Again, no hourly). Not a fan on how it is set up. I really liked the graph they had for % chance of rain in the old app. I know it takes a bit to get used to new things, but if I can’t get the local hourly weather then it isn’t an app I want on my phone.

App loads slowly since the new update and sometimes crashes to the home screen due to bugs in CharlotteNewsfromWCNC . Developers needs to fix CharlotteNewsfromWCNC and it will be perfect

This news app gives a wide range of news for the Charlotte, NC area. It is attractive to look at and fairly easy to navigate. The downside is that it is SLOW and often has numerous spelling errors.
