I loved it until it betrayed me

DrawPlan was rather pleasant, and I had a good time using it for a school project. However, one thing about DrawPlan that truly embitters me is the fact you have to have a subscription to view your saved plans. Why this app? If you’re going to require a subscription from us to use this application, why can’t you just allow a limited amount of plans instead of wasting my time? What’s the point in making a plan and saving it, and seeing the nice text that says “saved” in the screen, but never letting me see the saved plan? At least warn me before you throw crap at me Mr. Plan.

TAKE A SCREEN SHOT BEFORE YOU CLOSE!!!

I enjoyed working with DrawPlan to create a houseplan for my dream house…it was easy to use and fun…until I closed it and tried to go back in and view it again. Then I was told that I had to pay to see any saved plans. I would have had no problem paying for this upgraded service if they had just been upfront about this policy when I started instead of holding my plan hostage unless I paid. There’s no way I’ll purchase it now. If you use DrawPlan and want to keep the fruits of your labors, be sure and take a screen shot before you close out.

Seriously?!?

Really annoyed at the fact that after saving my plan I was then told ( when trying to view it again.) that I had to pay for it??? Would be very helpful if I was told beforehand. Even as a popup warning message like “ Are you sure you want to close? After saving you will not be able to access this plan until you have a subscription” or something letting us know instead of us loosing what we had made thinking it would still be there. I’m just happy I actually took a screenshot before saving and exiting.

Even With Paid Subscription Draw Plan Doesn’t Save Work

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. This problem seems prevalent.

After purchasing the subscription I quickly discovered that the plan(s) I drew did not properly save. Thus, the drawing was useless.

I timely notified Draw Plan and was told that they were having some limited problems with 1% of the subscriptions and to try a different device. I tried 3 other devices, none of which saved my work. So, a total of 4 devices failed to save my work.

When I again contacted Draw Plan I was told they did not know when the bug would be fixed and suggested I cancel and try again in the future. But, by then the 7 trial period had expired. I contacted Draw Plan to explain the inability to cancel, but I’ve yet to hear back. So, I am stuck having to pay for a valueless app.

A few bugs

Overall, I’m enjoying DrawPlan. Just two simple things would make it better, in my opinion.

1. If I accidentally leave a “dot” on the plan, it is nearly impossible to eliminate it.

2. The “Save Changes” feature is glitchy to say the least. If I don’t save a photo of my completed plan, it almost never is possible to return to the plan as I saved it. And I have an updated iPad Pro.

A Fatal Flaw

How can you make an accurate plan without being to set the length of the lines. DrawPlan completely relies on eyeballing the lengths of the lines drawn. When trying to accurately plan a room visually, guessing on measurements is a guarantee fro failure. The only way to measure is relying on backgrounds. If you are just using this for fun or very rough visualizations, it may be fine. But for any serious planning, you may as well be using MS Paint.

I have no problem paying if DrawPlan is worth it. This one isn’t even worth download unless it’s just to play with.

Good app but...

While I was making a floor plan with DrawPlan it was great but then I saved it. I went to TRY to look at my floor plan again but it said I had to pay money. I worked on that floor plan for so long and now I can’t even look back at it. Now I have to start all over again. I am not an architect but I was just trying to make a floor plan for my new house. Not recommended

False advertising

I thought this was gonna be really great for me because I want to draw floor plans in real life but instead it like didn’t show you what to do, you didn’t have a ton of workspace and it took forever to load on my phone yeah sure it worked but I saved a plan so I could finish it later and it just wouldn’t let me finish because then I would have to pay for a higher up stuff

<_>==*

Here’s a thing~ 1st you download DrawPlan and at first they allow you to draw and then after you save and they will ask you to PAY to view back your draw..

Soooo… make sure you CAN pay then you can draw. Sorry for this review.

Screenshot your work!!!!!!

Don’t fall for the “save plan” trap that I fell for. Screenshot what you create to save it because you have to pay to access what you spent all that time creating! This is literally the only reason for my one star because I right away liked the simplicity and intuitive tools and physics of DrawPlan and I created a great in depth couple plans. But when I went to show them to my boyfriend, our future house was going to cost just to see it!

By

Ehh

I just downloaded DrawPlan and right away I saved and went to do something else and when I came back you have to pay to see your changes! I mean what kind of app does that. I still like DrawPlan and I wish that you would just be able to have the multiple floors free and to be able to see all plans without having to pay. That’s all, but I will right more if I see any more problems or compliments I want to say.

Frustrating to use

Created a design and even after subscribing to the service, the application crashed when I tried to export my design and I lost all my work since I didn’t save it first. I recreated my design and saved it, then tried to export and it crashed again. Thankfully I didn’t lose my work again, but really not worth the effort if I can’t export. Glad I had a one week trial. I canceled it after having it less than a day.

Honest and true review!

The concept of this is very simple. I enjoy DrawPlan a lot, but I can't use it properly. You also have to figure out everything on your own because there is no tutorial. You have to guess how it works. Again, it is simple but I'd feel better knowing that I was using everything correctly.

YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SEE THE FLOOR PLANS YOU HAVE ALREADY CREATED! This is a big one that got me considering deleting DrawPlan . If I can't see the floor plans, there's no point in having DrawPlan.

I'm not paying for it either. You should be able to do this without having to pay.

Overall an okay app, but a few details that ruin the overall thing!

Small area but works for communicating rough ideas to an architect

The area is too small for the home we are designing when you begin to add items such as doors you see just how small the area is. It would be nice to have two finger dragging add more space. Instead I have to design multiple different sheets that may not even line up together.

By

Only issue

Every time I use, add to a plan or delete when I save it and come back it’s all jumbled up. I have to completely redo it. It’s frustrating. I also think you need more icons for designing and maybe make it to where you can draw circles or other designs except square.

By

Quick and easy

Very nice set up, simple but yet gets the point across. Some color and highlight features would make it better.

Finally I don’t have to be a rocket scientist

Easiest FloorPlan software I’ve ever used. I finished my first floorplan without a thought about how. Every other option I’ve had required 10 key strokes just to draw a straight line. I love it.

By

Clunky app that holds you hostage to see your completed drawing.

Unless you are willing to pay for this mediocre app, don’t bother. The free version allows you to make a drawing, which will be a large investment of time and afford, only to force you to pay to ever see it again. My review is to pay, or STAY AWAY! Since it’s not that good anyway, I’d look elsewhere for a more complete application for your sketches.

Seemed good in the first five minutes

DrawPlan keeps shutting down on me, the things don’t move in the right directions it will delete things on its own you can’t select things a lot of times I’ll send the screen will start picking other things when you’re trying to do something else it’s extremely frustrating I like DrawPlan if it could work

By

Disappointing

I’ve seen other reviews that say this, but I decided to try it out anyway. It doesn’t work. The planning tools are amazing, but after you save something, you can’t go back into the plan without paying. I had to take screenshots and edit the photos. I do not recommend DrawPlan.

By

Does not save all changes

I added labels and icons to my floor plans, saved the changes, and exited the floorplan. The next time I opened the drawing the labels were scattered all over, definitely not where I put them. I have made corrections and saved multiple times but to no avail. Every time I open my floorplan it’s a mess!

By

Frustrated user

I have saved and tried multiple times to edit a saved plan. The program keeps re-arranging the plans and saving them in crazy random places.... it is wasting a ton of my time and putting us back on the project by days! So far I would not use this program ever again.

By

Won’t save my plan without jumbling everything

Really annoying to put so much work into your plan and save it only to comeback and it has jumbled everything up. Nothing is saved as I wanted it. What is going on??? Please fix this MAJOR bug or DrawPlan just won’t be worth the time

By

Draw mess up after exiting.

At first, It seems good using DrawPlan. I have finished drawing, save and export the drawing. As I drew another plan and went back to see my first plan, it was messed up. It always messing up my drawing after I exit any drawing.

No object such round table nor any round shape

Click Bait

Where on DrawPlan advertisement does it tell customers that you can’t save drawings without paying? Spent 30 minutes on a drawing only to find out saving drawings will cost $1.99/month. I understand the cost but I wasted 30 minutes to find out. Say it up front.

By

Duped

Spent about an hour drawing out my floor plan. Saved it only to quickly realize in order to retrieve my drawing I had to sign up and pay for their monthly subscription. Wish I would have known before I spent the time drawing out my plans, I would have to pay for them.

By

Horrible horrible horrible

Terrible app just on simple basic needs. You cannot even write in the measurements of the room. That’s besides the fact you have to pay to even review what you just saved. Completely useless.

By

Extremely limited free usage

Let’s me create plans, but once saved can’t view again until I buy it. I understand paying for features but if you’re gonna pull crap like this then make it a full purchasable app

By

Have Too Pay

I get that this is to make money but I can’t review the plans I just saved so that i wouldn’t lose them. Won’t be using DrawPlan again

By

SPAM Alert

Beware! You have to create an account using your email to use this software...shortly after I did this I got a spam alert that they were trying to access my files!!! Beware!

By

Very simple

Easy to draw with, but after using it for an hour and saving one simple plan I couldn’t get back to the plan and it wanted me to subscribe. No 7 day trial period. It better not charge me for one hour. I’m deleting it.

By

Great simple app!!

Very easy to use, basic floor plan app. Perfect for my inspection biz

By

Not free

Once you draw your plan then it will let you save it. But if you go back to look at it again or edit it it makes you pay for it. Not cool.

By

Not good

The free version is not much to do they should mention in the beginning so I don’t waste my time I can’t imagine to much difference for the pay version vs the free one
