App is an absolute nightmare!

Update to first review... What a horrible company! Your products are atrocious and your customer service even worse. If you have an issue, and message them for help, they answer after you’ve already fixed the issue yourself. They refuse to create a cloud plan for customers with multiple cameras and then have the nerve to try and charge your credit card the day before it’s due. Then! You have to unsuscribe to the plan in order to resuscribe to a plan again. Nightmare. Planning to switch to Arlo. At least their cameras work! P.S. this app “customer service”.. don’t bother responding to my review. It’s always copy and paste.

How frustrating can app be and no assistance from the creators or the company itself! Nothing on Nooie works with the exception of logging on. You go into the camera settings, you turn on the options you want and you think all is done. Nope! If you leave that particular option such as Detection or you exit Nooie and go back on. Everything is off! How does happen. This is constant and daily! I ask the company for help on issues and all they can do is apologize and offer some ridiculous excuse as to why it’s not working or how it’s the users fault. Total waste of money and effort trying to get this to work! Don’t bother.

Okay camera but I’m having issues

I’ve been using the this app as a baby monitor for a while now and haven’t encountered any major issues up until recently. Since I updated the camera to the most recent firmware the audio has just stopped working. Sometimes it will come back but only for a few seconds then it goes out again. This is a huge problem for me because as I mentioned before I use this as a baby monitor so I need to be able to hear through Nooie . I don’t know if I’m the only one having this issue so I’d love for someone to get back to me if there’s a way to fix this in my end, or if others are having this problem also I hope the developers rectify this issue soon. I honestly haven’t had any major issues up until now and I haven’t been able to find another camera at a reasonable price point that you can control with an app on your phone so I do hope this issue can be fixed as soon as possible.

Beautifully designed Sadly nonfunctional!

This little guy looks like a champ, slick exterior, motor and camera beep and move with ease! It was beautifully packaged, and one can see that the marketing and design engineers are worthy of the Steve Jobs Award! Nooie downloaded with ease and its designers were top notch. Even when it said it couldn’t pair with my iPhone 12 with Verizon Fios. The pictures are cute as any game could hope for. The count down clock makes it fun to wait for it to finish loading even as the camera icon sways from side to side away on the screen And that’s where the fun ended.

I really wanted to like this thing and yet the software designers must have tested it out on a device or two (perhaps what they had in their pockets) and said, yep that works let’s call it a day. It’s not like I’m trying to do it on my iPhone 5s using Bob’s Super Fast Cable Company these are standard products, I downloaded both apps, neither worked. I shouldn’t have to work this hard to get a simple camera with an app to work. Think plug & play this app! It may work on yours but it didn’t for me. This is going to be returned.

Cool camera, terrible app

It’s too bad the software is so bad. The latency is awful because they are likely routing all connections through their server rather than peer-to-peer. I suspect they are doing this to capture user data like video and audio for resale. Their privacy policy is pretty vague and they don’t rule out selling user data. There’s no good reason for the latency to be so bad. For example, when trying to adjust the camera position it lags about a second or two and then you have to adjust it multiple times to get it pointed in the right direction because it either goes too far or not enough. That’s not my only complaint, but it is the most glaring issue that makes it nearly unusable. If you go to another app it doesn’t support Picture in Picture and you have to wait for it to connect when switching back. The mic feature basically doesn’t work because of the latency issue as well. Why do they show how bad the streaming bit rate is in the top right corner? The list goes on.

Suggestions...

I’d like to make some suggestions so that you app is much more usable:

1. Please, I beg you, add speed control to the play-back function. Trying to scroll through 24 hours of footage is painfully slow in real time and skipping ahead skips important footage. We should be able to pick from various play-back speeds so we can watch ALL of the footage at a faster rate until we find what we’re looking for and then slow it down to capture more detail.

2. It would be really nice to have the capability of time stamping activity so that a user can click each timestamp to see what set off the activity sensor at that time. Takes the guesswork out of reviewing video.

3. I like the ability to turn on or off the infrared night light. However, we should have the option of keeping it on all the time. My porch light is just bright enough to trick the camera into thinking it’s daylight so the night function doesn’t work.

4. We should have the option of changing the 24 hour period when recording. In other-words, I’d like the capability of recording a 24 hour period between 6am-6am instead of 12am-12am. It just makes more sense to me when scrolling through the videos.

5. It would be great to see more than one live camera at a time.

You can ONLY login on ONE DEVICE

Terrible flaw. Your login only works on ONE device at a time. This is a huge inconvenience. It means, If you want to be able to view your kids at home while you’re at work, if you log into Nooie, it automatically logs the other device out that your partner/babysitter is using to monitor the baby sleeping. And if they can log back in, you are logged out.
MY husband can not hear the baby when he wakes up from nap. And he is known to fall asleep himself. And my child has yelled for an hour, before I called my husband from work, telling him that the baby is crying and awake. Because the home devices can’t be logged in and get notifications, when I am logged in. And I use Nooie far more frequently from my phone. It needs to be fixed

This app is garbage

How can one app have so many issues! Since the last firmware update the audio doesn’t work! You can’t you use the speaker function anymore! And the sound and motion detection only work half the time!! Not to mention Nooie just freezes up or will not even load a camera some times!! And the tech-support and customer service is horrible! TheyAsked me to reinstall Nooie which I did and I it did nothing! Then they’re saying it’s my Wi-Fi which I have 250 mbps throughout my house so it’s not the Wi-if! Then they asked me to send him a video of it happening which I did and months later still no response! I just want my money back because Nooie is garbage and makes the cameras unusable! When the camera do work they are good quality app doesn’t works the quality means nothing if I can’t view it !!! Buy something else or fix your app!!!

Tried really hard to like this

I really loved the 360 when I first started using it for a baby monitor. It worked great for probably the first 6 months, and now we’ve had it for 2 years because I’ve tried really hard to love it. It randomly shuts off, and will turn itself back on in the middle of the night and make the loud startup noise (even though I have that turned off) disconnects from the internet, and bogs down when I try to speak through the microphone. It will shut off the motion and sound detection on its own, and seems to have to be reset once every couple of months. I really loved being able to check the monitor on my phone from anywhere, but overall the cons seem to outweigh the pros.

Poor Quality

I purchased this camera last year for the nursery because I liked the ability to look at the camera from my phone at anytime. The camera itself has a pretty good image and audio (when it works). More times than not it buffers and I am always finding myself having to remove the camera and adding it back on. Nooie itself is pretty outdated in terms of technology and recently the updated Nooie but I honestly don’t notice an incredible difference in terms of usability.
Also this camera was supposed to be compatible with Alexa products and it’s very hot or miss. I’d say it’d work maybe 2 out of 10 times.

Playback on 2021 update made this camera unusable

I agree with other reviews that the new playback option is terrible. Although this app responded to other complaints by saying we can use the right side of the screen, that still doesn’t tell you when the motion occurred so I don’t know what time to go to. I have no idea what time my baby woke up if I can’t see when sounds or motion occurred. I spend way too much time scrolling through each and every minute of a one hour period to try and figure out when he made it sound.
Please change this back. The camera is useless with this playback feature.

UPDATE: the little blue dot is useless because it only signals there was a notification during that hour. If you need minute by minute visual or sound or movement, it’s useless.

Hate it already

First of all, why would this developer need to create a whole new app and require users to download the new app for some updates? I just downloaded the new app and I already have a pop up telling me to update it. The fact that they have not shared how they use our private information is not comforting to me. Can they access our cameras remotely? Because I’ve had issues and contacted customer service before and they literally went onto my account to see when my camera had noise notifications. Not cool. And also didn’t help my issue. This new version of Nooie seems glitchy. When I try to zoom with my camera to focus on a particular area, it glitches and sticks, the old app was smoother with the zoom function. Please at least fix that.

Poor IOS programming

The device works very well until wifi drops or the you get a power outage. Then when power comes back or internet starts working again the device doesn’t remember the network and starts giving you loud notices in the dead of night (and when I said is loud a mean the device comes with a built-in speaker so go figure what that causes to your baby asleep) like ‘Incorrect wifi password’ or ‘connect to wifi’.

The device could use some better engineering to store networks and passwords and reboot when power is available in a ‘quiet’ way without ’loud notices’ so it doesn’t disturb a baby asleep. Also any device like this it should be able to update firmware fast & automatically without any loud noise when installing or rebooting.

2021.. Used as Baby Cam

After reading Nooie reviews, which seem outdated, I felt the need write one.
The initial setup was EXTREMELY easy, the user guide is short and straight to the point.
Once the camera and my phone successfully paired, an image wouldn’t generate and I received a “failed” message…

This was solved with basic troubleshooting steps. (Took me all of 3 mins tops)
1. I removed the camera from Nooie by going to settings.
2. I did a hard reset to the camera by unplugging the power source from the back of the camera and waited about 30 seconds.
3. Once I plugged it back in I used a needle to click the reset button in the back of the camera so that the indicator light would flash white again (it’s ready to pair).
4. I clicked “Add Cam”And followed the regular set up instructions.
5. Successful! Amazing video quality, and impressive night vision capture.

Hey There Nooie Family!!!

First I would like to say thank you for the service. We only have one item so far and the camera is very useful. I do have a question and will update my review as time goes on while we are using the product.

Will this app update to the, as Apple would say, ‘Picture in Picture’ capability any time soon? It would be a great deal to be able to multitask while being able to use the camera.

Nooie 360: Often a blank screen with “n” & a grinding gear!

Nooie is poor / inconsistent and renders the this app 360 camera pretty much useless over the past few weeks! This became worse with your last update! Yes, we updated our firmware. No, it’s not our wi-fi! Or our router, etc. Yes, we tried re-installing, etc! I see many people complaining of the same/similar issues. Nooie does not want to consistently connect / display the camera views like they are supposed to! So we get to see a lovely lower case “n” on a blank background with the grinding gear icon when we try to use our this app 360 cameras! Oddly enough our older version this app works without issue in Nooie ! Please fix the issue so Nooie once again supports the this app 360 camera! Thanks!

Just “ok”

This camera works nicely, but Nooie leaves more to be desired. You can only be logged into your account on one device - which makes it a hassle if more than one person wants to view the video feed. The other issue I have is that it is very difficult to control how far/fast the camera moves in Nooie - which is the only way to move the angle of the camera. I’m only using it in live mode, so I have no comment on the recording. The night mode is good and I haven’t used the 2 way voice yet, but would imagine it works well. I really hope the developers can work on making Nooie more user friendly in the future.

Needs support for a second device

First I will say the camera it’s self is pretty good. The connection on video is a bit spotty, but who knows if that’s a problem with the camera or our WiFi. That said, Nooie really really needs support for a second phone. I get that there is concerns around hacking, however only allowing a single sign in renders this device practically useless to a home with two parents. With that change, this could be a 4-star product (perhaps), but it is such an oversight to not allow two parents to both access the camera on their own devices.

Useless

Currently paying for a 14-day iCloud subscription that isn’t even usable. Continuously just telling me “no-recordings found”. The kicker is that it used to work just fine, and then all of a sudden just decided to stop, without me making any changes that could have caused it. No matter what I try to do to make it work it still won’t. Support was useless as their solution was completely unrelated to the issue. Told me to turn on “motion tracking” and it should work. Never had it on before and it recorded just fine. Additionally it’s always been on for my second camera and yet there’s no recordings for that either. Not worth your time or money, go with someone with better reviews.

Good camera, but app was better before update.

Nooie is a little more difficult to use now since the update. Scrolling through the day to see “motion detection” is a little more difficult than it used to be. It was much more simple before the update happened. I’m hoping it goes back to how it was before.. because everything else about it I like a lot and was able to catch a peeping tom, and save the video of them very easily. Now with this update it’s much harder to navigate.

It’s a good idea but…

Nooie seems unable to connect to my camera unless I’m in my house (which is a small apartment…so I don’t really move much farther than a room away from the camera). It randomly sends me notifications in the middle of the day when nobody is home that there’s movement in my baby’s room, and won’t let me actually connect to the camera to see if I should believe it or not. Seems like it’s just giving me a lot of extra worry for no reason, since a simple check of the room through my camera would make it obvious whether or not someone was in my house…

Updated review

Login issue was fixed, so Nooie gets more stars. I use my plugs on lamps as regular bulbs are just easier to replace when they invariably fail and I have LED strips for mood. App is still a little slow to load up, so forget turning the light on/off if you’re in a hurry, but otherwise works as it should to power the plug.

Was fairly easy to set up but was a little tricky to get to the schedule for each plug. Note, tap on the plug in Nooie and it will bring you to the schedule screen. I tested and all works well.

Would not automatically connect to my Wifi

I have never had a problem with anything automatically connecting to my router including another brand of smart plug of which I own 4. With the 2 this app smart plugs I own, even though both were rapidly flashing twice a second, neither connected with my 2.4 GHz wifi.

Absolutely useless!

Could not edit the network name Nooie is attempting to connect to. So, unless your network name is this app, it won’t be able to connect to your WiFi. However, I was able to find, operate and program their plugs via the TuyaSmart app.

Can’t link to google right now

After this upgraded from this app home to this app, google home can’t find light or plug, but just camera. But you can’t actually view camera from google home either.

Nooie is trash. It constantly gets stuck on an endless load screen and I’ve had to delete and re-download Nooie more than a few times now to fix it.
