BFSFCUCards does not include two-factor authentication. It instead relies on personal questions as a secondary identification. This is just not acceptable as a security set-up for a financial institution in 2022.
Answers to many of these personal questions can be easily discovered through a cursory search of a customer’s online presence. Each question’s answer is likely to be considerably less secure than a password.
Forcing users to use BFSFCUCards instead of the existing online banking app is a serious decrease in the user experience for the credit union’s mobile banking services. Previously credit cards were payable within the credit union’s main banking app, and users could select which account would pay the credit card, ensuring they would never overdraw a particular account.
Paying a credit card now requires more steps, has less security, and the movement of funds between accounts is less clear.

If I could give negative starts, I would. It never recognizes my password. Today, I spent over half an hour with support trying to make it work. And nothing. This is something that should be a priority to fix because you need BFSFCUCards to pay the CU credit card using your phone and for the digital wallet to work with your CU cards. The banking app is linked to this CC app, so if you click on the CC field in the bank app it will force you to get this CC app that is full of problems. From other reviews, I’m not alone with this problem.

I am trying to login using same credentials as I use on website and BFSFCUCards gives me the error that password is not correct. I don’t get why BFSFCU has two apps for banking, and yet they can’t make it right.

I used to be able to log in to BFSFCUCards, but some months ago it stopped working, won’t allow me to log in, insisting I need to register my card, but will not process any attempt to do so. It is now useless.

BFSFCUCards used to somewhat work most of the times but now 100% of the times it can’t log me in. I tried to call customer service and no one understood what app I was talking about. Complete junk… Too bad because the concept is nice.

Along with all of the other gripes, security concerns, etc BFSFCUCards doesn’t scroll properly. It chaotically jumps around making it nearly impossible to keep track of the charges. I really hope there can be some improvements.

Absolutely worthless. Have tried on multiple occasions over past few days to just set up BFSFCUCards (or “enroll” to use BFSFCUCards ’s terminology). Every time I get an error message indicating that it is “not my fault” and “an issue at their end”. An app that doesn’t even allow you to get started fails even the lowest bar!

Unable to log in with login information or biometrics. Was working fine until last week. The helpline number mentioned in the error message is also not helpful and they had no clue what needs to be done to resolve the issue.

BFSFCUCards doesn’t let me log in. I called the Bank they transferred me to the credit card. The credit card people don’t know why I can’t log in or what is wrong with BFSFCUCards

One used to have the ability to review credit card transactions without using this miserable app, but now one is automatically led to BFSFCUCards Store. The ease of having everything related to the BFSFCU in one place is no more, so after 30 years or so I think I will just have to get rid of my BFSFCU Visa card.

The parts of BFSFCUCards I was able to access look like it was written by a child. And not one of to smart ones that knows how to write software. I got as far as being able to create an account but it was impossible to log in and use it. Calling the support number was a waste of time.

Half of the time I try to log in BFSFCUCards gives me error messages “it looks like there is a problem on our end. It is not your fault. Please try again in a little while”. Unfortunately this is a consistent problem that can last for days until BFSFCUCards works again.

Like most BFSFCU products that require any technology created in the last 15 years or so, BFSFCUCards is garbage. The enrollment process (which simply would not proceed when I clicked “next” at the penultimate page) marked the third time in my short period of using BFSFCU that I called a human customer support representative and was told that they’ve been hearing my same complaint for a while now. Not a good sign.

BFSFCUCards is really useless, you can never log on and you cannot override it. So as long as you are on your phone browser, there is no way of seen your credit card transactions. Really frustrated!

Can not log in to the application with biometrics or with login information; have to go in through a web browser, which defeats the purpose of having an app at all.

Worked perfectly fine prior to most recent update!

The password fields in account creation and on the login screen don’t work with auto fill from the keychain. The keychain will fill in the field, but BFSFCUCards thinks it is still empty and won’t enable the login or enroll button. BFSFCUCards should check the contents of the password fields instead of checking that the user clicked and typed in each one.

Also, the enrollment process doesn’t mark fields invalid in any obvious way. The username field requires a number in the username, but the field is not highlighted in red if one isn’t present. Because the enroll button is disabled until the field is valid, no error message is displayed when the user tries to press it.

BFSFCUCards offers alerts on specific kinds of transactions, but doesn’t support payment reminders at all.

BFSFCUCards has helped me prevent further fraud on my credit card. I shut the card off immediately until I could verify fraud. The ability to block and unblock transactions is great. The alert feature when a transaction is made is awesome. Further improvement I’m sure to come but a fine start. Well done Bank-Fund!

The new app is excellent, user friendly, and rarely gives me issues (bugs etc). Keep improving!

BFSFCUCards is great! Easy to navigate, VERY intuitive, and the first time I’ve ever been able to turn my card on and off. I normally use Online Banking on a desktop, but BFSFCUCards makes credit card management so much more convenient when I’m “on the go.” Well done, Bank-Fund!

I was a bit worried about BFSFCUCards, based on the fact that the first review that came up said he couldn’t log in correctly after the update. But happy to report that that was an old review. BFSFCUCards works smoothly.

Would love to be able to add all my credit cards to it, instead of just BFSFCU. Otherwise it’s pretty awesome.
