Easy set up

Update 2- After a couple updates they have addressed a few more bugs and it seems stable. It hasn’t forgotten the device and they have addressed the bugs I reported in BrytonActive . I’d still like to see the autolap handle more than one location, but as far as stability and quality, they seem to be getting it on track.
Update- while it still seems to be working fine, it is a little buggy and like a couple other reviews it seems to forget that it’s connected to a device and I have to re-add the speedometer to my list of known devices. I’ll drop my review to 3 stars until they clean up the bugs So far this latest version seems to work great. It took a couple minutes to get used to the menus and screens but it pairs quickly and stays synced with the device. The only big issue I see is that the Autolap feature only allows for one point. So if you ride multiple trails or a trail has multiple loops, it won’t be very useful.

Pairing & constant account issues

I loved Bryson, bought a 310 way back when the first arrived on scene. Solid device great tool for tracking my rides on two different sized wheel bikes. HRM died after just 6 months, so I got a Wahoo and kept going. August, account mysteriously rejected my password and since then, it’s been nothing but grief, no ability to pair with any device or more than one session, app continually forgets my password. Press forgot password sends me down a rabbit hole where no matter what simple or complex password that is entered on the site works. Put a battery back in my 9 year old Carey’s Padrone and wow, it just works!

Not overly intuitive

I have the Rider 420, and BrytonActive seems to work reasonably well with the device. It’s not overly intuitive to use, but I’ve managed to stumble my way through without too much grief. I’ve mainly used the route builder option, but I’ve just downloaded the MS150 route from their webpage to the device and that’s worked well too. In summary, it works, just don’t expect it to be user friendly.

You get what you pay for.

My rider 410 worked fairly well and only crashed rarely. Since the most recent update it has now crashed twice. Seems to happen when the device pauses during a ride, it never resumesand I have to reboot the device. Frustrating

It works great!!!!

Please check videos and website there is a lot of information if your activities does not sync via Bluetooth. With BrytonActive . There is an easy way to upload an activity that is on the Bryton computer to the PC. I have the 410 and is enough for what I need and works amazing!!!!

Bryton 750

Lately BrytonActive keeps forgetting my rider 750 which I can easily re-add in BrytonActive and nothing is lost but it’s annoying to have to add it again before each ride. Otherwise BrytonActive is generally very good and works as expected although Wahoo can do on device notifications without the need to run BrytonActive first so it would be nice if Bryton could do that. Love the Bryton Rider 750.

Doesn’t work, no technical support. Disappointed 👎

I have spent three days trying to register an account and no confirmation is ever sent. Pressing the “Re-send confirmation” shows a message that says “try again in 10 minutes” wait 10 minutes and the same thing happens again. I was so excited about the device but will return it since BrytonActive is not working, can’t get anybody to help and it’s useless to have the computer with no where to save the information.

Doesn’t work at all

When you register an account no confirmation is ever sent. Pressing ‘Re-send confirmation’ just results in a message that says ‘Please try again in 10 minutes’. If you wait 10 minutes and try again, the same thing happens. Considering many features of my aero60 depend on BrytonActive working, I feel like I was cheated out of my money. Shame on you Bryton. Spend the extra money on a wahoo. Those just work.

Avoid completely

Creating a new route is frustrating, uploading gpx files from third parties is a 50% chance that it will work for creating the “turn-by-turn” info. From time to time when I finish a ride, it does not upload to BrytonActive and says “file corrupted”. I have sent emails to Bryton support and it’s just pointless, they never reply. If you are considering buying a Bryton, just avoid it at all cost and go for any other brand!

Download issues

Seems like this happens to others
Great gps with the info I need. But BrytonActive constantly drops the device on my iPhone
Losing rides in history
Only advise from Bryton download BrytonActive again on your phone
Done that several times and no improvement

By

Latest update made it worse

Keeps losing device connection. No sync indicator on screen can’t tell what it is doing. I preferred the old UI. I like the Bryton 450 a lot but fix BrytonActive guys. No need to improve what isn’t broken.

Love the computer app not so much.

On my iPhone X BrytonActive doesn't work that well sometimes I have to uninstall and reinstall. If I don't BrytonActive won't even open and crashed my phone once. This needs to be fixed asap.

By

Garbage

I have two rider 15‘s for two different bikes and I like the GPS feature and the computer itself is nice but syncing my rides to BrytonActive does not work. Occasionally or intermittently it does but often it will not sync in record the ride. Went for a ride today and synced my rider 15 to BrytonActive and it said the records were downloaded but it shows I did nothing.

Quite worthless...

So wanted this to work. Id give it zero stars if that was an option. Pretty much a dead app. Worked for a very short time then stopped syncing! Hasn't done anything since mid -end of February. Use strava but wanted the sync to be seamless but now I still have to manually upload before it gets to strava... So much for high hopes!

Regards to the resent update to the new bryton app

The new updates on BrytonActive seem to fix the problem of having the mph option.

By

Device stopped pairing

This worked well with my iPhone for 1 month, then stopped uploading rides. Then I deleted BrytonActive and reinstalled and now the device won’t pair. Won’t pair on my iPad either. Customer service doesn’t bother replying
Terrible service

By

km to mi

like the ability to change settings, but need ability to change for metric to imperial (km to mi).

On the results screen the weekly mileage is listed in km even though the units says”mi”. still not fixed.

Rider 10 issue

It won’t let me add my uuid after the program detects my rider 10 gps. It just freezes and I can’t upload my rides to strava now. The old app worked fine

**edit

The problem was fixed after rebooting the rider10 and my iphone7 plus. I am now a satisfied customer

By

No Support

I would give this zero stars if I could. The update wiped out my account and I cannot get any assistance from Support. They said they are “backed up”. I will probably return my Bryton device since it is pretty useless without a working app.

By

Misleading product

Two big complaints:
* Rider 420 is supposed to have a training mode, but the actual device doesn’t have this at all, very misleading
* App doesn’t support modern iPhone screen size

By

What a difference s year makes!

The latest version of BrytonActive is reliable. Haven’t had to reinstall yet this year. Provides comprehensive and helpful ride data and makes reconfiguring of my Bryton Rider 410 easy. Now highly recommend.

By

Need mph

It needs to add the imperial/metric choice and the ability to input and change personal data that existed in the previous Mobile App.

By

Horrible Rider 10 Integration

Will not sync with my Rider 10. I cant set my grids, can’t get my rides anymore. This needs to be fixed. It essentially makes the reason I bought this+HR sensor+Cadence+Speed sensor useless. Please fix soon or send me a different computer/money back

By

Need MPH option

No option to be able to go from metric to imperial. Miss the old app. They need to fix this or I would suggest going with another manufacture that is more responsive to there customers needs.

By

iPhone X

My iPhone X no longer recognizes Bryton Bluetooth. I did all the normal stuff like rebooting the phone, deleting and downloading the bryton app, forgetting the bryton device in Bluetooth. It works just fine on my father’s iPhone 7. This is an iPhone X issue I believe.

Turn by turn

I have a bryton 330 I like it but gps turn by turn voice not working

By

Like device app needs work

Need to be able to go to imperial from metric. Miss old app. Can we go back to old app?

By

Stopped pairing with iPhone after recent update

Worked perfectly all of 2019, now it will not pair with my Rider 310. Attempted to unpair the device and start from scratch, also did not work. Please patch

By

New update doesn’t sync activities

Just loads the list of activities that haven’t been synced from the device and sits there doing nothing.
