The 5.2 update broke myColorado on IPhone. When you launch myColorado and Face ID tries to log you in, it starts a loop where myColorado logs you in for a split second and then reverts to myColorado log in screen prompting Face ID to activate again. This happens seven or eight times and then the log in screen is displayed. Ostensibly you could then sign in manually but that is if you happen to remember your user name and password which I do not because I used the strong password feature when I originally set up my account on myColorado which was not saved in my phones password list due to myColorado blocking this feature. So until there is a fix for this issue myColorado has been rendered useless. Clearly the people who coded the new Colorado unemployment website were also tapped to make myColorado inoperable as well. Why do government entities still not understand how to make intuitive and functional net mediums? The answer is a lack of beta testing and a lowest bid gets the contract mentality. Do better, we are not in the early days of the internet anymore, these types of coding errors are a direct result of incompetent creators fostered by governmental entities who have neither the knowledge nor the technical aptitude required to make informed decisions about technological viability as it relates to important government operations.

myColorado uses a facial recognition identity verification system that requires you to take a selfie for facial ID purposes that must match up with the photo on your drivers license before you can access any records. Unfortunately, at least in my case, the system failed to recognize and match up my facial features with my drivers license, and as a result I cannot access any of my documents. I tried about 18 times with different lighting and different facial expressions to get the verification system to work, all with no success. There is no alternate means of identity verification provided, so if you run into the same issue you are out of luck and myColorado is worthless. Customer support for myColorado is essentially nonexistent — they are far too busy to answer any calls, and that is probably because myColorado is highly imperfect and they are very busy dealing with people who can’t get it to work. I suggest you don’t get too excited about myColorado and try and get your information through the CIIS public portal.

i think this may be more of my phone issue, so i hate to leave such a low rating. i have the iPhone 12 Pro (3 cameras) and myColorado defaults to using the main camera (standard wide angle). most apps do, the main is usually the best to use overall, so i get it. only problem is the main camera has a limited focus distance, and won’t focus on the barcode of my card because it has to be so close to the camera in order to fit into the rectangle graphic. i’ve tried this is the regular camera app too (same distance from lens) so i know it’s at least an Apple issue. it would work if myColorado allowed me to use the telephoto lens but it doesn’t do unfortunately myColorado is useless for me at the moment. maybe if the rectangle graphic could be made smaller for certain phone models? that way i can have my barcode far enough for the camera to focus on it while still fitting the rectangle graphic fully.

For most purposes, myColorado has perfected triggering the fatal Apple spinning wheel which indicates nothing works. And, if you try to set up your Covid vaccine information, after you have scanned your Driver’s License, you will never be able to pull up your vaccine information if that license data doesn’t match what was entered originally into the state’s vaccine database, which it likely won’t. You see, the inquiry by myColorado will not allow you to edit the data for name etc. to try to search the vaccine data for your information, rendering this function completely worthless. Didn’t anyone working for the Developer even think to test their product to see if it is properly functional?

Additionally, myColorado is painfully slow to respond using the latest IOS.

How could this be rated so highly when it barely functions at all? Perhaps the State instructed employees to falsely give it five stars?

I love the my Colorado app. It’s useful if you forget your wallet at the house because it stores car registration, and drivers license or state issues ID card. I have a question tho for CO State. Is there a way that you can implement the way to store Handicap Placard Registration cards? I am disabled and I have handicap plates on one of my cars so it’s shows on the back of that registration in myColorado but I think that it would be a fantastic idea to allow us to keep our handicap placard registration cards in myColorado . Placards are available for 3 years at a time for permanently disabled people like my self but and it’s hard to keep that sheet of paper in my wallet every day for three years with out it getting trashed. Just wondering if that something that is possible.

I had my electronic vaccination card already on this app app with the info of my first 2 vaccinations. Then I decided to upgrade my iPhone and when I was checking if my booster vaccination info was added on myColorado , this app app deleted/removed my electronic vaccination card completely after upgrading my iPhone. I tried everything I could to retrieve it and even filled out an electronic form to investigate the issue. I also chatted with customer service and they told me, out of nowhere, that suddenly there was a name mismatch. Apparently they fixed the name mismatch issue and told me that in 48 hours, I’d be able to see my vaccination card again. After 3 days, I’m still waiting for my vaccination card to be posted electronically with my 3 vaccinations. Is management looking into this? I’m going to travel soon and I need my electronic vaccination card on myColorado ASAP.

It’s great that the state provides myColorado. Fantastic to have vaccination records from the state in the smart health card format, rather than trying to aggregate from different providers. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to add the smart card to Apple wallet yet. The share sheet that pops up when attempting to download the smart health card does not appear to be entirely standard, and its last choice, “Print“, overlaps the slide up bar at the bottom of the screen.

Also, I am visually impaired and use dark mode, because I cannot read dark text on a white background. It would be nice if myColorado would respect the choice and provide a dark mode friendly design option.

myColorado appeared to be something useful, especially the vaccine card addition. I was excited to use it.

I linked my vaccination info and checked a few times to make sure that it worked, even in airplane mode. All is well.

Next time I use myColorado is when I have to present my information to a venue. Open myColorado , am logged out. Ok… inconvenient having to step out of line to log back in. What’s the point of Touch ID if myColorado logs you out anyways. Once I was logged back in I discover that myColorado no longer has my vaccination information and won’t let me access it again. The whole purpose of myColorado is that you always have your id and vaccine card when you have your phone with you… really disappointed

Everything worked well until I tried to take a picture of the front and back of my DL. Each time I’ve tried to take a picture of the back of my license and submit it, it just takes me to a blank white screen. I don’t know if it’s loading or processing because there’s nothing to indicate that so I’m just left staring at a blank white screen that I can’t move past. I have to go back, resign in, retake the picture of the front, and retake the picture of the back, and then I’m back at the white screen where I was before. Either there’s a glitch or I need to be more patient while myColorado processes my photo—but if that’s the case, a loading indicator or spinning dial of some sort would be helpful. :)

After going through the full app setup, loading all my insurance cards, fishing license, Covid vaccine card, etc. - it will often fail to load my ID when I attempt to retrieve it. It lost/disassociated my Vax card on the second login after linking it, and now it fails to find it and throws an error, even though I searched and linked it through myColorado the first time successfully. Today it logged me out and when I loges back in it shows my wallet but then when I try to access anything it routes me back to the login page. Honestly myColorado is more a PITA than it’s worth. Great idea, poor implementation.

Renewed my license on Jan 1st in myColorado and received a text the same day stating my renewal was accepted. It’s now Feb 3rd and still no license received. I looked on the Colorado DMV website and it says my license was processed but was never mailed. I contacted the DMV and they told me the license may have been lost in the mail.

Here’s a question for you, how can a license be lost in the mail if the state is saying it was never mailed in the first place.

I followed the instructions in myColorado to open a ticket and also sent an email to the address listed in myColorado , and guess what, no response has been received. Maybe my expectations are too high for a government service.

Something has changed since I put my ID in my wallet on my Colorado. I tried to help my wife do hers and it has failed three times. I quit. I am a photographer and I know how to get a good image. The ones we submitted were far better than the one I used, but it fails every time. One problem is that myColorado does not allow you to use the zoom, giving a distorted face, then the facial recognition software can’t / won’t find a match. How do you make this work? Another thing is that it cuts off the voice memo, so I have to type this by hand. I couldn’t find a zero star setting to rate myColorado. I think it was better two months ago, then the IT people must have “fixed” it.

I updated to the latest version and, as warned, the face id on my iPhone no longer worked for sign in. Because I’m old and lazy, i never wrote down my user id. myColorado doesn’t give me a way get my user id or update my password without a user id. I called user support three times and was on hold for more than 45 minutes each time before I gave up. I sent at least two messages to the support system and, other than an automated “We received your email” I haven’t heard anything back from them. (They really deserve a 0 star rating)

I’ll login to myColorado frequently and no problems. Seemingly out of nowhere, I’ll be prompted to log in again and it rejects my password (which is in a password manager, so I’m not mistyping or forgetting), eventually leading me to reset. I have to go through at least twice because every. single. time. I get “A problem has occurred. Please try again.” Doesn’t tell me what I did wrong but I just have to go through the process again. Once you’re in myColorado , it’s very handy but the login process is random and inconsistent in terms of UX.

When myColorado works it’s great and it is really useful, the problem is that it has a lot of issues. One of the issues that appears is that it will randomly not accept the Face ID scan and constantly log in and log you out and the only way to stop this is to uninstall myColorado . Once uninstalled myColorado either does not accept your original user name or will, this appears to be random. I really would like for myColorado to be more reliable so I don’t have carry my vaccination card especially because more places will require it to get in. Please make myColorado more stable

I really love myColorado it comes in handy so much because I always lose my ID and everywhere in Colorado basically accepts this form of Identification although lately the past three days my app has not worked I’ve had my cousin and my brother tried to download myColorado and it didn’t work for them either so I would really hope this is gettingFixed soon because this is really a problem solver

myColorado is constantly causing me to re-login and resubmit all of my IDs and fishing license every week. The point of myColorado and see you have your IDs on you and it could be used as an identifier but if it’s not reliable to keep them on the phone then why use it. My fear as a fisherman is to be fishing asked for my fishing license in myColorado doesn’t have it on there this time. That causes a lot of problems and headaches that no one needs. Suggestion keep your IDs with you your fishing license with you myColorado does not work. I have use myColorado since it’s inception and it has not worked once longer than a day or two.

After getting my CO ID, I was excited to get myColorado . Had issues getting it started and support was hard to find. After going through text verification many many times, restarting my phone, deleting myColorado and reinstalling it, going through the photo verification steps several times in different lighting situations… I finally got it. Great. Did it have to be this hard though? Well, nevertheless, I’m glad I have it. It’s a little clunky, but for a government developed app, not bad.

I have tried to install myColorado many times. I have had nothing but problems with it. I contacted them and they tell me to delete myColorado and reinstall it. I still have the same problems. It will not let me log in I get the message that something went wrong with the pairing with my device and the MFA pairing. Please contact my Colorado for support. I’m very disappointed.

No issues with my iPhone camera capturing the barcode on the back of the drivers license or setting up an account. The facial verification is to only verify that you’re a human and not a bot. So much smarter than making you choose photos with stoplights etc. I uploaded my covid vaccine card and a couple of insurance cards. I don’t have any hunting licenses so I can’t speak to that. App worked perfectly

Tried several times several different way to get the front and back of my drivers license and the selfie. Photo checks out during the process and gives green checks but fails every time when it tries to upload and says the photos are blurry or have a glare or something is wrong in general or an error occurred . Then it makes you log in again and redo it to have the same thing happen. It’s funny how my iPhone can recognize my face in near pitch black to unlock my phone but myColorado can’t recognize a face in a photo and upload to finish the account setup. Really frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Update: The developers reached out to me and suggested that I exit all apps and restart my iPhone then try again.
I did and it worked.
I am changing my one star to 4 stars.
They may want to add to their initial login screen that myColorado uses a lot of memory and you should exits all other apps prior to continuing.

You have to take photos of the front and back of the license as well as a selfie.
myColorado accepted my front photo without a problem. When I tried to submit a back photo, myColorado hangs.
So try again... and again... and again.
Now I can’t even get the front photo to get accepted.
Setup a different account name/email.
Still won’t accept any photos.

Oh well. It seemed like it would be a useful app, but for now it is just a time waster trying to get past the initial login.

I was able to register but and see my ID except my picture and signature is missing which without that won’t be able to use myColorado . Once that is fixed it will be a great option for people to use.

Took the picture of back of my DL, app just hangs. White page with “Log in” and a back arrow at the top. Seems like a good idea if/when it starts working.

Update: Got through the setup. Although I got to the submit part and that’s where I’m told it doesn’t like the front Id image. So I have to repeat the whole process (not just the 1 image).

Okay, 4 or 5 tries later it FINALLY takes.

Pretty neat IDEA, but the not on the digital Id says it doesn’t replace the requirement for having your physical Id and registration with you. So, I guess this is Phase 1? Eventually we won’t need our cards?

I set this up thinking I wouldn’t need to take my wallet everywhere because I wouldn’t need my DL. If I need to have that ANYWAY, not sure the benefits of this especially having to put in a 12 char password to access?
Okay, I guess Face ID works with it.

This is a great app for what it is. However the login experience is unacceptable. I have to log in nearly every time I open myColorado . Then there is always a two factor email.

This happens when myColorado is updated or it seems when enough time has gone by, for example a day. I’m not sure what specifically causes if.

I understand the security for first login or after major updates but this is happening way too frequently.

Updates have logged me out and doesn’t support iCloud Keychain/any password manager. End result is I have to pick between an insecure password I can remember/have used elsewhere or having to go through the password reset process every time which is what’s been happening. If those two things were fixed it’d be five stars. Love the concept, can’t wait for it to be supported more commonly like with law enforcement or airports.

I am frustrated that I have taken (and re-taken) my driver license and photo several times without success. When I add the picture it may or may not work. If it doesn’t work and I select the back arrow I am returned to the login screen and all prior info/photos are lost. Can’t Colorado provide the digital image of my license? I can see value here if it works better. Colorado provides a digital image of my Medical Marijuana Card so I would think a drivers license would also be available. I’m keeping myColorado and waiting for improvements. Great idea, Colorado.

Hi in case the developer is reading these, it worked just fine although for my face pic taking I’m pretty sure the example showed taking it so the face and neck showed.
However when I did it said the a face in the pic was not recognized so I took again without my neck but is said the same thing, then I took of a real close up of my face and it saw my face then.

Thanks looking forward to bringing our Government services and info into modernization
But we all still need to bring equal treatment to our money system and a basic right of a living minimum income to all citizens so let’s vote yes on that!

So I talked to this lady named Irma when I tried to change my number to access my account and she took my info, but apparently she doesn’t have a clue about any details or her or tech supports job because if you get a new number you can’t change that on myColorado . You have to make an all new account with an all new email. Tech support also takes days to respond and there’s very few places that accept this in Colorado as valid ID. myColorado is a waste of data and lawmakers time.

myColorado is very nice and handy to show from mobile rather than pulling the card out from purse. Only thing I can say wish Costco and all should accept this web DL as many people including Costco at Lone Tree think it may not be valid.

This is a great idea, but disastrous execution. Who coded this, a State employee intern with a $100 million budget? Numerous attempts to scan in a copy of my driver’s license. myColorado takes the photo, then hangs. Close out, login again, attempt to scan in license, app hang, repeat until you throw your phone through the wall. Typical government quality.

And don’t tell me it’s a “memory issue with older devices”. If an iPhone XR with over 100gb of available memory isn’t enough...

On a bright note, I love the cool icon.

I cannot access my digital ID due to the “video face scan” it simply doesn’t work. I’ve tried the face scan on my iPhone and my iPad. Calls customer support and they had no clue what to do either
