WORST APP EVER

I’ve used MyPoints for a few years, despite how clunky it is. After I cash in the few points I have left, I’m deleting it.
Half of the time it doesn’t work (tap on a feature & the little icon just spins & spins). Then, if you need customer support, you have to use their menu that only lets you ask for help on an activity you’ve completed. General assistance with app problems-forget it! If you don’t have a “ticket number” they bounce your message back to you telling you to go back & use their special menu to get a ticket.
Nowhere can I find a way to report that MyPoints isn’t working.
I use other apps for shopping rewards, and their level of customer service is really good. Not this one.
DO NOT USE MyPoints UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME FOR MINIMAL REWARDS WITH NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Will no longer allow surveys

I’ve been using this site for years. My information changed recently (husband retired, income decreased, etc) so I have been answering survey questions according to my current situation. Suddenly, on the page where there should be surveys, I get a message that says some of my responses are inconsistent with previous responses so they are restricting my access to surveys. So I sent them an email that some of my info actually HAS changed and they just keep sending back (3 times) an automated response that they are unable to reactivate Gold Surveys on my account. It also looks like they have deleted all my streak points for meeting my daily goal 24 days in a row up to that point this month. I’m very disappointed since I have been on this site for many years and have never answered surveys dishonestly.

These people THE BIGGEST FWRRIS WHEEL OF LIES AND RUN AROUND!!

I left an earlier review they responded like they cared and wanted a “ticket number”. I have been going through a circus of bots, redirects to their FAQ page, resubmitting my information, they DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM round and round, verify your phone number, use their AI software to verify your ID, verify your PayPal account this crap has been going on for MONTHS. It is fraudulent, misrepresenting what and how they pay, who they are you go down a rabbit hole for discovery points that never appear, regardless of what you send them as proof, you are in a useless chat bot

DNA, arrive in person at their headquarters’s with the IRS and FBI in tow and ready to verify me. They would send a bot out to ask what the freaking ticket number is! Keep in mind there is no ticket number and when a bot can’t handle your concern they tell you it will take up to 30 days for a response, I am going on four months for a resolution. Plastic People all around.

They closed my account with no proof

I though this was a great app at first. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks. I uploaded a receipt and got almost $5 (in points) on the account. Watched several videos and almost had enough to cash out PayPal after a short period of time. I tried to log back in and it said my account had been disabled. I emailed support and they gave me no answers as to why my account was closed beside “it looks like you violated our terms and conditions”. I asked for specifics and they said the same exact thing and said the final decision was to keep my account closed and deactivated! Funny how people actually use your app, upload receipts, watch videos and is close to cashing out and it shuts off. Ok.

Account suddenly deactivated

Not sure what happened but I was using MyPoints and was getting a fair amount of surveys and enjoying it much more than other online survey websites, when all of a sudden I went to log in again through MyPoints and it told me my account was deactivated. I tried then logging in through the internet and it said that my account was under review and they would get back to me in 48 hours. It’s been almost a week and I haven’t heard back from anyone. I’m not sure what happened as I had about $5 worth of rewards to redeem, but it logged me out and seems to have deactivated my account before I could actually redeem it.

If someone could contact me about this, I would definitely be willing to change my rating or review of MyPoints.

Long time waiting

I have been waiting a long time for this app to get an app. So excited. I’ve been a member since 2000. I’ve never had issues with the web site hoping not to have them with MyPoints . So far I encountered one glitch during a survey I clicked to actually read the privacy terms and was not able to return to the survey after reading them to agree. So that was a waist of time. The site itself is legit and does give you gift cards. Most are e-cards only now but for 19 years I haven’t not received what I redeem.
Update to my thoughts... They’ve made a lot of changes to this app in general that are NOT good. Not allowed to use coupons on sites or gift cards. That is not cool. After being a member for 19 years I will be searching for a new rewards place.

Around and Around and Around

The whole My Points things is great, as long as it works and you don’t need any type of customer service. I have been trying to contact an actual HUMAN for over a month now. My issue is with the surveys and the fact they have blocked me from completing surveys (inconsistent responses and “under review”, although the “review” seems to be taking months). I tried writing an email and explaining my husband took a survey so the answer went from female to male. All other answers were truthful. But, they want me to send a picture of my passport or license. I don’t just send pictures of my ID online. My bank doesn’t even ask for that. If they want to put in security questions like the bank (mother’s maiden name etc…) I’d be open to that. There are many other similar sites that have timely customer service, Rakuten being one of them. I hear from them within days when I have an issue. I will be sticking with them.

Didn't receive points for Discover offer

I did two bank offers. One of them was the Discover bank offer of signing up and depositing $50 and the other was one where you had to sign up for any bank from the ones they had listed and deposit any amount. I completed both, but my points never even reached the pending section. I contacted customer support about these two offers and they only rewarded me for one offer and then told me they won't reward me for the Discover bank offer because there was no proof of me completing it even though I provided a screenshot. I feel this is really unfair and am highly unsatisfied.

Mixed Bag

So, my actual rating is 2.5 stars. I have not experienced any issues with the actual app, however, my rating is influenced by this app as an operating business as well. I have issue with trying to get my daily goal and completing surveys that say they are 7-12 minutes to complete and in reality, they consist of a 7-minute qualification survey then the actual survey takes at least 15-minutes. I would say only 25% of the times are close to being accurate, the rest are way off. And, the discover deals...some will say "you must indicate 'yes' to get points," but yes to what? And why can't the Perk points always be posted and posted correctly. Too often they are wrong or not posted on time. Inconsistency is very off putting!

Amount of points I didn’t receive!

As others noticed, some surveys that are completed should be given the points promised but instead users only get 5! I have this problems too. Plus the receipts I scanned, items on them that should be counted weren’t count, if I asked for review, I never get back anything! My purchases also didn’t counted. Especially from best buy/Macy’s (big bucks!).

I started this app a decade + ago and over the years, they made it harder for customers to get points unless you buy what their sponsors offered!

Surveys are too lengthy for pre qualification and then it just got dismissed with no points though that’s you first one for the day. Receipt scanned now is only 2 points instead of 3 before, if you have items qualified for points on one receipt, it limited to only 10 items but not all will be counted!!

Overall they’ve became worsened with amount of points they owed users that are very concerning. I would not recommend MyPoints anymore to anyone like I used to.

Haven’t received my Visa card yet.

I love my points, but in May I turned in 15,000 points for $100 Visa card. I didn’t get to activate as my husband went to the hospital. I actually forgot about it for a while. Then the bills were coming and I remembered I had my $100 and it wouldn’t let me activate it. I have messaged them through Facebook and nothing. I’ve been trying to get my card for several months and nothing. Very disappointed. Just wish they would actually answer me and help me. If I don’t get it soon I’ll be canceling my account and telling everyone that I got to join this app to deactivate them. Not worth answering question and taking my time and not getting rewarded.

Missing Activity / Missing Points

I just signed up this month & everything was going okay until I clicked through to a Promo that had high points offered and completed the ask of signing up for a $15 recurring monthly donation. I received immediate confirmation from the organization showing my payment with a confirmation number. I took a screen shot of it in case the email they sent somehow got lost in my junk folder. A few days later I noticed that the entire activity did not even show up in my Ledger at all, much less were the 8,000 points pending for it. I submitted my issue using MyPoints , but it wouldn’t allow me to upload the photo I took as proof / confirmation I completed the activity. I am currently waiting to hear back & will update my review once the matter has been addressed & my account is properly credited.

Magic receipts

I have belonged to my points for many years now. Last year I downloaded MyPoints to my phone and everything was fine. It was so easy to use the magic receipts for in store shopping. A month or two ago they did an update and magic receipts are no longer easy to use. Tonight I can’t even submit my grocery receipt which would have five items on it. I have been able to upload my receipts since the update (with difficulty) , but now it won’t let me do that. I’ve closed and restarted MyPoints and even turned off my phone. Usually when you want to submit a receipt, you first select the store. Then the products you bought. And then upload the receipt. Now when I click on submit receipt, nothing happens. If they would correct this and better yet make it as easy as it used to be, then I would give it five stars because the program itself is very good.

Long time member

Been a member for over 10 years and I really do enjoy the site and app and my cash outs are always quick and everything has worked well, up until recently. Not getting credited for some Discovery activities, and a few were games that took some time to play. When I click on missing points, it asks for screenshots that have the time and date in them??? There’s no way to have the time and date in them, unless there’s something I don’t know. I could send shots of the game and level I’m on but not the date. It’s disappointing.

Lost surveys

I have been using MyPoints for more than 10 years so obviously I like it. Response to most problems is good. But I have have a recurrent problem and there is no avenue to report it. I use an iPhone. Sometimes I have spent a long time on a survey, and been interrupted briefly, and the survey disappears with no way to get back in. It appears in the Ledger as visited, as if I left it. People have a life and interruptions occur. I use another survey app and it does not have this problem. Please, I feel as though I have lost a lot of time, often on surveys I care about. Is there any way to recover a survey after the screen goes black?

Many ways to earn in this one app!

MyPoints gives the most ways to earn points. However, sometimes they ask for too much info, such as your driver’s license or military ID but, you can decline, which I have. Also I find that, when I remember to do the daily 5, after a few days I get kicked back to Day 1. Maybe I’m doing something wrong 🤷‍♀️, but it’s frustrating. Overall though, this is a good app because it offers so many different ways to earn points.

Long time member

Overall, it’s been good for earning points for shopping and daily polls. However, you have to remember to click the icon when shopping online. They are times I’ve clicked it, yet I don’t receive the points. It’s very hard to get them back when you reach out to customer support so I don't even try anymore. Just gotta remember to check throughout the checkout process because it sometimes didn't register. Also getting points using their search feature never works for me so I lose out on those points as well. Worst are the timings for surveys, they're often longer thank stated.

$100 gift card

I received a $100 gift card virtual and I have tried everything to get to use it. At Walmart they said unless it has a barcode it want work, I asked about keying in the numbers and they said it would only use a barcode.
I tried at home to use the card when I ordered online and it was denied. I tried using it at an Old Navy store and once again it was denied. How do I use it and who can I contact about helping me? I also put $10 in my PayPal account and I can’t figure out how to use it either.

Amazing! Keep up the good work

(This is all personal experience and not a paid promotion) Iv had MyPoints about 2 weeks and only used it in idle, and with the points I accumulated equaled out to a 25$ gift card, while I was skeptical at first and quite a few said I was wasting my time. Paired with the possibility of a 7 day wait I believe, I was starting to doubt I would get my reward. However I received it within 48 hours and had zero issues trying to redeem or use the gift card. This is one of my top “reward” apps

Great Survey App, but it takes a week to get gift card (I got it a week later)

this app is an awesome survey website, it pays better than Eureka Surveys however it gives rewards slower than Eureka Survey does. Eureka lets you redeem at 5 dollars and the reward you choose goes in the mail and you get it almost immediately. this app takes awhile to process the reward, so it can take up to a week.

However, this app offers lots of options and they pay very well. would choose both apps, they both are good.
