Goalsetter: Invest & Bank Reviews

I downloaded Goalsetter specifically for the round up rule. I connected my bank account and waited for funds to start being added when I made purchases, but nothing happened. I sent multiple emails asking for help as it was not working and nothing was being deposited in my kids goal accounts. After several weeks and MULTIPLE emails I sent one last email asking them to cancel my account and threatened to contact the BBB. I finally received a response stating my email must have been “lost in a black hole” and they canceled my account as requested. I find this so frustrating as I had sent so many emails and all I wanted was help fixing an issue. I would have been a long time customer had someone helped me. Very disappointed! I’ll be using stash from now on!

UPDATE:
I am changing my review as the CEO has reached out to me and rectified the situation. She reached out by email and even provided me with her personal cell phone number. She apologized and even gave my kids a free goalcard for my troubles. I am now giving Goalsetter another try and so far so good. I really do think Goalsetter is a fantastic way to save for your children which is why I did not hesitate to give it another try once my issues had been resolved. Thank you this app for reaching out to me, it is appreciated more than you!

While I was raised by two fabulous parents, fiscal responsibility wasn’t necessarily prioritized. Perhaps it was because there wasn’t that much money to begin with! While I learned the hard way how to manage money, I still dropped the ball when it came to teaching my children the lessons I learned the hard way. That’s why I absolutely love the this app app! It’s really helped me engage with my kids about money. It sparks conversations about what they’re doing with their money and why. I recently ordered the Cashola card for my 14-year-old son, and it’s been amazing. He’s really cognizant of his spending, and we really love the regular “lit quizzes” that he takes to enable the use of his cards We do the questions (which are great!) together and have a good time. I think I’d been so lax about teaching my kids about spending and saving because I didn’t have a blueprint or guide, but this app has served that purpose. And while this has been about my kids, Goalsetter is helping me better shape my own financial goals and rethink some of the fiscal decisions I’ve made. We are becoming much more intentional about money as family and Goalsetter – and the Cashola card – has help immensely. I highly recommend this!!!

I opened up a this app account for my granddaughter a few months ago. I have been so happy with the results. I like the flexibility of having money transfer over easily and feel the whole premise of this app is to educate young people. Honestly this information is nothing that I would’ve learned as a young child. I love the fact that there is an age-appropriate quiz every week. My granddaughter is five and when we’re together she tells me not to forget that we have to do her quiz for the week. She is excited to learn new money ideas. Most kids love toys. Goalsetter gives them the idea that if they get an amount of money for a gift, maybe they should put half in the bank. Now I’m told I know we can’t get a toy every time we’re together, because I need to save some money too. I’m so happy I found this app. It is never too young to make smart decisions. It is much easier later than to make informed decisions. For the kids it’s done in a way that’s fun also. Thanks again, this app.

My son and I love this app! He has learned how to set a goal and work towards it. We are both able to check his progress in real time and that immediate feedback and encouragement is working wonders in him being more responsible about money. We have set up family goals and have a fun competition going on with the quizzes. He asked everyone in our family to contribute towards his goal for the holidays and his birthday. While he’s had this goal of a new gaming system for over a year, he had hardly anything saved on his own. Using this app, he has saved almost half in 3 months! I love the quick and friendly feedback from customer service and supporting a black owned, woman owned business!

App has a good layout. It’s a good concept and everything. Downside you have to deposit money into the account/accounts before they’ll even allow you to order the debit card/cards. Then the debit card/cards take forever to get delivered. Nowhere do they tell you have to deposit money then order the card. Then entire reason I decided to do this is because my son was going on vacation and I wanted to give him money and be able to give him more if he needed it but the card is so late coming that my son left before it even arrived. Don’t even know if I’ll keep Goalsetter now. I signed up with Verizon family share. It’s through Verizon so I know it’s secure and safe. They may charge a few dollars a month but so do all the other well know companies and I’m willing to pay to feel secure and safe.

My church New Birth Cathedral with the best pastor in the world Pastor Jamal Bryant introduced my children to the this app App and I have all my children on it ages 21, 15, 11, and my 4 year old. My 15 year old son said he loves taking the quizzes and he set a goal on Goalsetter to save to buy a car he is learning money management and I Love it. I wish I had Goalsetter when I was growing up however I’m grateful that my children can learn how to manage their finances at an early age. Thank you for Goalsetter. As a parent I’m also taking the quizzes and learning new things about my finances as well. It’s a win win for me.

Goalsetter and debit card have been life changing. During this time of quarantine I have been able to connect with all the kids who call me “Aunty” - kids of all of my dear friends who are geographically spread out, but all have taken to Goalsetter wonderfully. I am able to send money directly for their debit cards for birthdays and special occasions, and I get to hear that they love the quizzes and appreciate learning while earning. Such a thorough and thoughtful approach for families, and a great way for this “cool Aunty” to show love to the kids in my life that I love.

I would like to say that I’m in full support of an organization willing to educate the community in which they’re from. Goalsetter is very user friendly that turns real life scenarios into educational material in terms of financial literacy. The founder is very personable and wants to hear feedback on how to better serve its members. this app is an awesome avenue to jumpstart your child/children’s financial needs early. There’s no other app out here like it. The this app team is well on their way to achieving bigger and greater things!!

Why does it take so long to get money INTO the account. I understand transfers out of Goalsetter taking up to 5 business days but incoming transfers should be available within 1-2 business days MAX! The money leaves my account and stays in transfer limbo for the whole week. On the weekends, the kids money is still not available so I end up paying for their stuff anyway!!! Then I have to wait until it becomes available to get my money back but then that takes another week. If we can get the money into their accounts faster I’d give Goalsetter a million stars!

This is my first debit card and it made my whole experience with money managing easier. There is something I can take called “lit quizzes” that activate my card while i can also gain knowledge about money management. I just think that the whole process of moving money and putting it in certain savings accounts and funds is very unique and interesting. I would 10/10 recommend

I downloaded Goalsetter a day ago because of a recommendation from a friend. I was excited to start using it for my kids and to teach them how to manage their money but so far it’s been nothing but technical issues. I can’t connect my bank account I keep getting an error message and now I can sign into the application it keeps saying internet not connected. That’s not correct because my internet at home is what taking fine. I emailed the company and I’m waiting to hear back from them to see how we can trouble shoot but I’m feeling skeptical.

I downloaded Goalsetter like 2 months ago the quiz they give you very easy if you ready them correctly you will get $1 each one you get right , but since playing it and adding my bank account information for my daughter to start her off on savings until she gets older 😩, it giving me a error messages to my email saying sorry your payment failed and not able to deposit in your account , this issue really needs to be resolve no one hasn’t contacted me yet I’m very disappointed ☹️

Our family absolutely loves Goalsetter! Not only are they earning money but they are learning how to save and be more thoughtful in their spending. They are learning financial info and terms now but will already have a strong understanding and know how to be most effective with their money as they get older. I would highly recommend!

Have had Goalsetter for over a year and love it. Then updated. Had to receive verification through text. Never recieved text and no way to move on. Can’t do anything to fix and the number the verification is being sent to is correct.

Update: my issue was resolved in 24 hours. Love Goalsetter. Great customer service.

I have signed up for my kid. She said it would help her with earning money and having a goal! The only problem is that it says that i haven't linked a bank account on hers, and on mine it has trouble verifying my identity. I've reached out to someone and never got a response back. I have no clue what to do. I'm just trying to help my daughter out!

My father sent me $1 as a test to see how long it would take to arrive in my account, he sent the $1 on July 21st, and I still haven’t received it. Another problem is now when I go look to see the recent transactions I don’t see the $1 that my father sent me, it disappeared I emailed customer support on Friday but I expect a response to this by Monday. My father sent me $20 yesterday and the expected arrival date is august 6th, I hope the money will ACTUAL ARRIVE THIS TIME. Overall the only problem is receiving money sent to you. If my issue gets resolved then I will update my review.

Our family has been using Goalsetter for a few years now. I love how easy it is to navigate and add funds. Additionally, I’ve gotten friends to sign up for their children, which makes gifting for birthdays or other goals very easy!

this app is an absolutely phenomenal app! Not only does it check the box of being fun to use, but the way financial literacy concepts are taught is incredibly well thought out. Goalsetter makes learning fun with culturally-relevant topics and the Cashola card is really cool. I’ve made everyone in my life - kid, adult, and in between - download Goalsetter!

It allows me to save for my kids easily without thinking about it. We set goals. I love the assignment of chores. It allows us to educate our children about money through the quizzes. Very easy to use. FDIC insured. Also, allows to transfer to and from bank accounts efficiently.

Goalsetter creates a world of possibilities for kids and families. Not only are my husband and I in process with our own kids, but I am using it as a an example with my middle school math students. Navigating the world of savings and dreams can be difficult at times. this app is a terrific platform which allows youth to realize the connection between the material world and financial goals, while providing family and friends with an easy interface with which to support those youthful dreams.

With Goalsetter, they’ve started saving for their own goals and I’ve never seen them so focused in my life! Thank you to this app for making my kids savers instead of constantly spending my money. Wonderful App for families ! We have been using only a couple months and my kids have been saving for vacation spending money and other long term goals! So simple to use and follow ! I hope to see the company continue to grow and offer savings for parents goals as well

This is such an easy way to save with and for your kids and/or the kids you love! The ability to link it directly to your bank account allows you to “set it and forget it”. I absolutely love this concept and am so happy to have access to it!

I got my first debit card through this app and it was such an effortless process. Goalsetter is organized so it’s easy to navigate. I’ve learned a lot from the quizzes and I feel more prepared with handling my finances. Overall Goalsetter is great and I highly recommend using it.

I love Goalsetter so much!! Instead of getting gifts from relatives that I’m not really into, I get to receive money towards things I actually care about. It saves me the hassle of pretending to like random gifts, and it saves my family from wasting their money on things I don’t need.

I love the idea in theory of giving goal cards for edict allowance and special events. However it’s too difficult to find anything on the site. Or cash out. Mane customer service could be more responsive and I would need to close the accounts.

Very responsive to feedback! Great that they take suggestions and run with them. Would love it to pay based on per day and that kids initiated the payment. If they forget, no payment. And it works with accessibility features. Yay!

I am a first time aunt and am super excited about teaching my little niece the importance of saving. The account was really easy to set up. By the time she’s old enough to have her own cell phone, she’s going to have a really nice savings account. Thanks this app!

This has been a great app to help streamline chores and savings in our house! My kids love seeing their accounts grow each week. My boys have even created a joint savings goal to get a Nintendo switch! Love this app!

I was looking for an allowance management app for some time, and was thrilled to find one that also has smart savings and gifting tools for kids (no more unused bday gifts!). The financial trivia for kids is (important) icing on the cake!

Very easy to set up, and my kids are learning how saving a little on a regular basis really adds up! The allowance manager is a nice feature — helps to teach them responsibility. FDIC insured account made me comfortable to use it.
