What is WavePay?

Wave Money is Myanmar's leading mobile financial services institution with over 5 million users. The app, WavePay, aims to enable customers to discover more services and help businesses serve customers better by enabling the digital payment ecosystem. It offers a range of features such as sending money, QR send money, nearby Wave Shops, bank partnerships, mobile top-up, broadband payment, service bills payment, solar payments, and bus ticket booking.



Features


- Send Money: Customers can send money to anyone and anywhere in Myanmar at any time using just a phone number. Money can be sent to other WavePay phone numbers, any other mobile number, or non WavePay phone numbers and Myanmar NRC can be collected at the receiver's nearest Wave Shop.

- QR Send Money: Scan someone's WavePay QR to send them money.

- Nearby Wave Shops: Allows customers to discover the nearest Wave Shop to do cash in or cash out from the WavePay app.

- Bank Partnerships: Top-up WavePay account through linking Yoma Bank Account or sending money through KBZ and CB Mobile Banking app.

- Mobile Top-up: Top-up Telenor, MPT, Ooredoo, MyTel or MecTel phone number using WavePay.

- Broadband: Pay Telenor and Ananda broadband bills using WavePay.

- Service Bills: Pay Star City service bill through WavePay.

- Solar: Make payments to Solar Home & Sun King through WavePay.

- Bus Tickets: Book tickets seamlessly within WavePay through the first progressive web app payment integration in Myanmar - brought to you in partnership with MMBusTicket.com.

- Better customer experience: WavePay is more intuitive with better navigation, automatic OTP recognition, seamless user onboarding, mobile operator recognition, recent saved transactions, etc. Share a snapshot of your transaction confirmation through any messaging app upon confirmation using Share Confirmation. Long press any transaction in transaction history to copy the transaction date to your clipboard.

- Cleaner look and feel: The new WavePay has clear payment categories such as bills, top-up, etc. WavePay also has a Notification Inbox which receives Cash Out and WavePay API notifications.

- Transparency: WavePay provides information on how to use features, how and where to cash in as well as a better transaction history with more details of how customers have used their wallet.

Can’t Loggin

Shit update, I can’t loggin my mytel acc

app problem

I checked the reviews before downloading it and read some about how whenever they open the app they were redirected back to their phone’s home screen. I genuinely didn’t think of it through and downloaded it expecting a bit better. First thing first, they asked me which language I’d like to use so I tried to choose English but I couldn’t click anything and the app stayed there frozen. So I thought the problem might be my phone so I checked the other apps and my phone was completely fine. I tried clicking it again and i was redirected back to my home page without being even able to choose the language. I tried to restart my phone, tried to delete the app and downloaded it again. I did that about 3 times but there was no luck. I hope you can fix this.

Fraud but not a total fraud!

The app was good until I topped up my mum’s phone! 18 August around 9am I topped up mum’s phone and she didn’t receive anything! If I don’t receive the top up until tonight, I won’t delete this review.
