Once you establish your User ID and password for the Mobile Banking app, you can use those same credentials to log in to Online Banking.

Note: Login credentials established prior to December 6, 2021, are no longer active.

Almost perfect

I use ChevronFCU for all my CFCU banking needs. I retired and moved out of the area where I could easily get to a branch. Using ChevronFCU is as if I am right inside a branch!

My one complaint (and because it’s frustrating, I docked ChevronFCU one star), I’d I keep getting notifications that I have messages, yet (unless I’m overlooking something) there is no menu item to see messages. While looking through ChevronFCU for other info I will sometimes stumble across messages, but I don’t have a clue how I got there. Can we simply get a menu item called “View Messages”? For banking, it is great. For communication? Not so much.

Horrible App Update

*Update* keep getting white screen when I try to pull up app, having to uninstall then reinstall to get it to work. This is a deal breaker for us, will be changing banks unless they get this usable.

The PREVIOUS app version was user friendly, straightforward, and accurate. The updated version is the complete opposite. No one should feel stressed while using their mobile banking app and this new version makes me feel like I’m taking a test back in school. Navigating ChevronFCU is now more difficult, with even searching for a specific transaction impossible. It doesn’t appear as if any credit union members were asked to test this ahead of release and give any feedback.

Let us deposit checks early again

I get paid up to two days early and I always do mobile deposit. But with the new app I can’t deposit my check on the same day that I get it.

Bill pay has taken a major downgrade

The entire bill pay function has taken a major downgrade to a poorly designed user interface. It seems they are trying to distance themselves from having to handle bill pay…

The good thing about ChevronFCU is the centralization of all my accounts and the other non-bill pay interface areas have improved.

One glaring problem

I like the new app but it has a major problem. I have like 13 accounts between my and my kids’ myShare and savings and checking accounts. When I go to choose an account to make my default or to send a transfer, a bubble pops up listing my accounts to choose from. But the bubble is not scrollable! So it only shows like the first 8 accounts and all the others are completely inaccessible. It’s pretty annoying.

Can’t give feedback in app

When I don’t close ChevronFCU , it times out my login as expected. However, the next time I try to log in, it has forgotten that I enabled FaceID and need to reenter my 25+ character password.

Also, trying to give feedback in ChevronFCU tells me that I need to give valid feedback, so I guess it only looks for the words “wonderful” and “awesome” before submitting.

The new app is terrible!!!!

This new app is one of the worse things I’ve ever used. It’s very confusing on how to add a new bill pay and only displays one way on my IPad. It asked me what I wanted as my default for bill pay then when I went on Bill pay it defaulted to something else. I seriously hate this thing so much I might have to open an account with another bank and get my checks deposited there. I’m actually going to call the credit union and let them know how bad this is.

Worst update ever.

I’ve used ChevronFCU for years! It was always intuitive and super easy to do whatever I needed.

Last update? I couldn’t figure out to pay a bill. I still can’t figure out how to change our contact email or phone number. (Don’t say call or stop in—no office close and I hate using the phone. That’s why I use ChevronFCU . ). Why change something that worked so well for so long?

Wow, so much garbage

ChevronFCU recently switched vendors. It is now overly complicated, way too much information on every screen, the search feature is worthless and doesn’t work properly, I can’t prioritize the right accounts to be first, and if you don’t log out it freezes up. I like being able to see all of my accounts in one place, but the way it is presented is information overload.

Hopefully will improve

I find the new application more difficult to use. I really like seeing all the accounts, but I really miss being able to see when a CD matures. And the format can be confusing compared to the previous app. But I’m hopeful that it will improve over time.

Check images almost never work

ChevronFCU is good but forget it if you want to examine the details of a check you wrote. The stored image is almost never available. Same problem also exists on their web version. You either get the infinitely spinning circle or an error saying try again. How did ChevronFCU pass QA?

Easy to use app with useful tools

I e been a member for 7 years and have never had any problems with ChevronFCU or any of the updates. Useful tools for managing budgets and trend spending habits.

Pretty - but lacking CC feature

Easy user friendly app. Lacks the ability to check CC issued by Chevron FCU. Also, when releasing a new version you should never have to uninstall the old and manually switch. Updates should be automatic to the original app.

Terrible Update

This new app is terrible. My husband and I both have separate accounts with this credit union and I have to go back and forth between the accounts. ChevronFCU makes it impossible. I get locked out every time and have to reset passwords. Then that says locked. They need to get this figured out.

App is just a browser now?

Horrible - now ChevronFCU acts just like a browser. 1 star. Used to be a great app. So disappointing.

Latest update dec2021

ChevronFCU has issues (as well as online). I can’t even use the secure email option to open issues. Keeps getting error messages. I can not see all my accounts on ChevronFCU . I think the launch was poorly tested.

New App

The new app is a mess. I’ve had to erase and redownload ChevronFCU twice now because I see a blank, white screen when I try to get in.

Also, I now have no choice but to look at my young adult kids’ accounts. I have to sift through to find my account. I can use the filter, but I have to filter EVERY time I sign in.

App is horrible

ChevronFCU went backwards from previous. Layout of the history is confusing. Login with FaceID displays a blank, white page. Requires continuous restart of app to clear the condition. Love that you have Zelle, but a $250 limit is awful. All of the debit cards linked to us don’t show now. Why did you even think this update was a good idea?

Terrible update!

I used to love the CFCU app but the new update is horrible. The layout / format is not user friendly and the bill pay took 10 steps backwards. Please go back to the old format. Read the reviews - no on likes this new format

Mobile Deposit

Since the update/new app my mobile deposit does not work. This is a main feature that I use weekly and I’ve tried reinstalling and I can’t get it to work. Very frustrating.

Very slow

ChevronFCU takes so much longer to load than the previous version. My phone is up to date yet it takes forever to pay a bill and load all my account info.

Really?

So...

1. New app doesn’t remember additional accounts with FaceID. I have four distinct accounts with CFCU - one to hold a trust, one for the trust, and one each for my kids UTMAs. App will FaceID one account; am I supposed to ignore my kids?!

2. Font scaling is huge and not system aware. This was a huge issue with the old app - it looks like I was using a 3GS. It would be nice to have the scaling in app or system aware to see more on screen.

3. Phone verification is easier, but once completed with account A it should be smart enough to work for accounts B, C...

Enjoying the updated chevron app! It’s easy to use and works well.

Doesn’t stay synced with Mint

This is probably a comment more on the CFCU API than ChevronFCU per se, but I have noticed that my CFCU account linked in Mint won’t stay synced. It repeatedly asks for a 2FA code in each session. So as is I need to enter a 2FA each time I open Mint if I want my account details updated, which is suboptimal.

Unable to transfer

The main reason why I use ChevronFCU is to get alerts when there is a withdrawal or deposit into my account. I receive the text messages late and I am unable to transfer money. I loved the older version of ChevronFCU . This one frustrates me.

I don’t like this

Change it back to the other app because you can’t see the other names on the accounts you might be transferring money to. You can only see the account numbers. This is terrible.

New app not depositing checks

I never had a single problem depositing checks with the original app but this new one just isn't working at all. I follow all the rules for it but still nothing. Very inconvenient

External Transfers

May take up to one business day, compared to the old app making it available right away. There goes that theory.

App does not work

Downloaded the new app and it does not work. Called Chevron FCU and cannot get thru. Would recommend staying away from ChevronFCU .. very disgusting Chevron!
