This is by far one of the most discriminatory apps in the gig industry. I have a truck, a push cart and a dolly. I am fully capable. I wake up at 5am and submit offers for high paying gigs and never get selected for them. Reason: another qualified offer is selected? What does that even mean? Expect no answers from Roadie they will just blame the algorithm. Well the algorithm, which takes 15 minutes to make its decision by the way, is either discriminating or something that makes this entire app unfair for reasonable and capable people. There could be 2 gig offers at the same store going to the same city but you will only get accepted for one? And what happens to the 15 minutes one is waiting for an answer, ignoring other apps only to be informed that you were only selected for the lowest paying one? Seriously I’m contacting an attorney and I do not recommend this app to anyone. It’s complete frustration and you won’t make any money unless you’re qualified. What does it take to be qualified? Well who knows. Apparently there is a sophisticated algorithm that makes you wait 15 minutes only to let you know you’re not qualified. This is not tinder it’s work!! How do you match someone with work? Sure if it’s highly specialized but driving things to people? If it’s there and I’m there then let me have it or don’t offer it to me. I’m seriously going to have this investigated.

Roadie seems like a great idea until you actually try to do an order. Every order I’ve done has had an issue. Specifically why I deleted the app was I was sent to pick up 4 bags from the airport just to be told it was an error so I spent over an hour attempting to do a gig I was paid a total of $16 for and was never reimbursed my parking ($8) even after calling support and sending them a picture of my receipt, meaning I only made $8 for something I was expecting at least $40 from. Another delivery I was asked if I could keep the gig active on my phone for 24 hours because the business placed the order a day early. They expected me to not accept any other gigs and wait 24 hours to deliver a cake because of the businesses mistake. I was eventually paid $4 for the gig and they finally cancelled it after going back and forth with (John) the representative. I understand every business isn’t perfect but roadie has an issue at every corner you turn and I would recommend doing anything but this. It’s never worth it and I always felt taken advantage of after completing a delivery for them. I’ve deleted the app and won’t be using it again and I hope I save the next person the frustration.

This is a app you use if YOU the driver want to help pay for UPS packages and third party businesses so they can deliver to their customers at little to no cost. While the entire cost goes to the driver. so they can make more profit and and reduce jobs. I have been observing roadie for over 5 years. They have become fraud just like most other more pretending, overpromising and under delivering companies. If you are a driver and dont like the pay. Dont accept the order. Stop dehumanizing yourself. This is not a boycott. We need to have respect for ourselves. They are paying less and less for heavier, larger and more distance gigs. As inflation skyrockets. They are basically telling their drivers to get down and take this. I hope this seriously saves a driver from wasting your time. This isnt work spending any kind of hours on. There are plentiful more ways to earn money. Not paying out your pocket for other peoples deliveries. Btw if we didn’t notice the market jobless is at all time high as companies have been preparing robotics to learn human works and to “fill in the job market gap”
