I’m currently suspended, should lift as of today(1/3/21). I got a low score and to many withdrawals. And that’s where my issues lie. The company doesn’t get notifications that I’m withdrawing. I even texted the number to the supervisor the night I had to withdraw late. No response. I’m assuming that if you’re using BaconWorkOnDemand, you have a full time job and like the money for fun or to give yourself a little walking around cash. I got a low score due to leaving after 6 hours because of a Emercancy and I was “on my phone to much”. A night shift making signs with a skeleton crew and the amount of signs I banded will say otherwise but whatever. Poor company anyways. So not that I care about the low score, but there isn’t any place where you can dispute anything. Which can cause you do be suspended for something that most people and companies don’t care about who pay less then 10 bucks an hour. ( I probably sound entitled but whatever. I’m being honest in my review. Which is why you’re reading this) if you can find a job where you’re at. They are going to be companies with high turn over rates. For whatever that may be.
Bacon really needs to go back to the drawing board and fix not only company policies, but fix all the broken bugs and glitches within BaconWorkOnDemand . So I’m giving them a 1 star. Because they haven’t fixed anything from the past reviews I’ve seen. Like the job experience. Can’t scroll.

Was suspended for a poor review that said came with boyfriend to the job and was to slow? My partner and I are completely professional and you would not even know we were together. This employer was verbally harassing all of the bacon staff. I feel shut off from bacon since it is my main source and since that was such a poor excuse to rate me poorly as well as everyone else working that day. We all worked hard and tried our best. The suspension is costing me and my partner a combined 272 from the suspension as well as not being able to do anything about Morris being verbally abusive and outright sexist. I will not rest until this is figured out. I love working for bacon but need this done.

This whole app is complete hell to deal with. The so called “bacon contacts” (or the people who developed BaconWorkOnDemand and help make it run) are very unreliable and take forever to answer if you have a question or problem. After you complete a job, your account balance gets added to a payment info screen, it says “you’ll receive payments daily” and every time I’ve worked a shift, it’s sat there for at least 4 days and then finally transferred to stipe which takes another 3 days.
One company that posts jobs on BaconWorkOnDemand, is a place where a supervisor is very unlikely to be on time. They’ve been 3.5 hours late before, and even though we still did the work and completed the assignment, I was still rated with 1 or 2 stars from the company. Which ultimately blocked my bacon account from applying to any other jobs for “3 days”. But it’s been over 3 days now and it’s not unlocked, nobody from bacon is answering me.
SAVE YOUR TIME. Invest in yourself, apply for a real job that looks good on a resume, apply for somewhere that you feel like you can be productive at and make an impact. BACON OR ITS CUSTOMERS ARE NOT THAT PLACE

Help me understand why it’s not ok to discriminate or make decisions about a candidate based on gender or colour or marital status but criminal status is fine, like no one deserves a 2nd chance. Especially if their one mistake was nearly a decade ago? Future employers of America, I beg you to take charge of this new era in discrimination & break the cycle such criminals face when trying to receive forgiveness for past mistakes & rebuild their lives. It shouldn’t take a decade to do if their sentence has been served already. Stop judging already.

BaconWorkOnDemand is a great concept, and is great if you use once in a blue moon. But is a terrible app if you need some regular income. Very unreliable, I’ve been suspended for a year. I had to cancel a job because a tree fell on my car after a very bad snowstorm the night before. Called the company an hour in advance, was told that was fine, and then they banned me two hours later! Had a previous bad experience with the same company, showed up for a backup shift and they sent me away saying they’ll mark that I showed up since I couldn’t log in on BaconWorkOnDemand . Surprise, they never did and I was banned. Reached out to support who initially fixed the problem but was never paid for the back up shift I showed up to. It’s a very frustrating situation especially when support can take days to get back to you.

You can get suspended for 3 days just for getting a single 2 star rating. This is not a reliable way to make money at all, the employer can essentially blackmail you to do whatever you want because they can stop you from being hired even by OTHER COMPANIES if they give you 2 stars which costs them NOTHING.
Absolutely terrible policy on the strikes. Pathetically bad deal for the workers.
Additionally the website you’re told to go to to review the training is down because of a cloudflare error. As a web developer myself, the degree to which this move is amateur and unprofessional truly cannot be overstated.

So I was really excited about my first gig with Bacon. So I prepared arrived on time and ready to work. However when I arrived to my job site, the Owner/manager stated he did not request Bacon staff for that day…so he sent me home. However BaconWorkOnDemand stated that he confirmed the job. Don’t know who is at fault or if there was a glitch with BaconWorkOnDemand . Anyhoo, I felt I wasted my time and could have used the day to work somewhere else. But the real kick for me was that Bacon has yet to return any of my emails or phone calls regarding this job and in the system there is an ongoing cycling of waiting for the manager to confirm the job (which he isn’t going to do) When a company does this it does not make me feel very safe or confident in them and their ability to manage future issues if they arise.

I like the concept, but have several concerns.
First, the type of work offered is not of the independent contractor variety. It is more like employment; meaning that taxes should be taken out, workers comp should be covered, unemployment insurance taxes should be paid.
Second, the Contact Support button under FAQs does not work.
Third, I am getting too many notifications. I would prefer only one summary notification per day; even better, a setting that I can control how often I get notifications.
Fourth, it would be nice to be able to sort by date, type of work, payment amount, etc. I’m only interested in certain jobs, and it’s tiresome to scroll through them all.

I’ve recently had to delete and reinstall app multiple times. It still shows version 2.9 and when I go to section to view jobs available I get the filter bar smack right in the middle of the screen. It won’t go away or able to be minimized. I don’t know how to fix that! It’s never happened before?? It’s annoying!! And it doesn’t say Sunday April 10th. It only shows three jobs and the filter bar?? I just deleted BaconWorkOnDemand and not gonna bother with it for a little while.

Didn’t see that this is only available in certain areas. Kinda shocked really that there’s nothing in the Cleveland, Ohio area, when just about everywhere I go is short staffed. A bit bummed cuz I like the whole concept of the platform, especially the reviews bit. I suppose I will try the other apps similar to this. Best of luck to the devs, looking forward to what’s in the future of your app!

I’ve made about $500 from BaconWorkOnDemand since June. My only issue is that if you need to withdrawal from a job it gives no confirmation to the employer. It puts you at risk for being rated low by that employer. One job I worked at 3 people didn’t show and the employer had no cancellation notices from Bacon. I spoke to one of these people and they told me they did put a withdrawal into BaconWorkOnDemand but it never reached the supervisor at the worksite. This has been a known issue since September and it still isn’t fixed. The other critique I have is you will apply for some positions and not be notified if your accepted or not. This can result in lost wages waiting around for a merchant that never confirms your hired. There should be a deadline for the merchants to accept the workers for their time Other than these issues I like BaconWorkOnDemand .

BaconWorkOnDemand has been awesome for me finding work with my crazy Mom schedule. There are a few things that could be improved. Wish that I could set the distance instead of it always reverting back to 50 miles. Also wish I could search by day instead of having to scroll through all the days. I worked my first job yesterday and they wanted me to come back but there doesn’t seem to be a good way to easily reserve a spot for a certain worker. Maybe there is a way to do these things but it is not apparent to me.

I think BaconWorkOnDemand will absolutely take off. I’ve used something similar (Jobstack by PeopleReady) and what I like about this is you don’t have to worry about getting the paper job sheet like you do with PeopleReady. You just select the job and go. The only thing I don’t like about Bacon is there’s a few bugs in BaconWorkOnDemand but I’m sure they will work out over time.

I really like the ideal and the ability to pick up shifts whenever I have time. BaconWorkOnDemand lacks some features but it’s because it is really new. I think this company will blow up!
by Ma_teer
I completed a shift on May 20. Still haven’t been paid. Seems like a good idea. Only explore if you enjoy doing manual labor for free.
UPDATE: I remember that guy ☝️ so young and naive. It turns out this was bad timing. I signed up and completed a shift right before they implemented Stripe, and all I needed to do to get paid was accept the terms for Stripe. Once I did that I got paid pretty quickly. Changing from a 1-star to a 5-star because BaconWorkOnDemand works and the people that helped me resolve my issue were very nice and helpful.

I have a normal 8-5 job and still able to find a job after that helps me out with some extra cash for that week. I love BaconWorkOnDemand and option to not be committed like a regular temp agency. I can work as often or little as I want. But, it you did want to look for a permanent job, the work places will also offer you jobs if their looking to hire. So either way you can’t lose!
by Barlolau
I LOVE BaconWorkOnDemand! I recommend it to all my friends. I was working an AWFUL job this last summer and ended up quitting a month before college started back up. I was stressed how I was going to earn enough money to pay tuition, given no where would hire me for only a month. Lo and behold, a friend suggested I try Bacon!! Best decision ever! BaconWorkOnDemand is seriously as good as it sounds; you select a job, show up and work the shift, and get payed! Every company I’ve worked for has been awesome. BaconWorkOnDemand gave me the freedom and money I needed! Even though school has started back up, I still pick up a shift whenever I have a day off! To ANYONE needing some extra cash, freedom, or flexibility- please try bacon!

My wife is constantly on the move and whenever we have to go back to school in Utah bacon has been the most convenient thing for Me. I have been able to control my work hours and do what I want when I want. It’s so cool. Honestly revolutionary to be able to work jobs through an application!
by AkPalmerSlc
Bacon app has been truly a positive experience, it’s a relief from having been in temp agencies for many years and experiencing nightmare work experience. They are analytical in finding you the right job for you, they pair you up with amazing companies that have also high ratings! They also don’t make temp worker sign any contracts so it’s really easy to get hired on to a job.

I never write app reviews but BaconWorkOnDemand deserves one
I got on BaconWorkOnDemand as a business owner affect my Covid this job
I found my old job which was my favorite and can actually help my brand grow, the only reason I left the job was the focus on my business and I couldn’t get a flexible enough schedule, now 4 years later I got my business off the ground and I’m back at my favorite job which I can control my schedule completely, my life often has important things happen that are very short notice 1-2 days to hours
by Phonedood
If you’re looking for $10/hr jobs this might be good for you. But they don’t pay your taxes at all.
As an employee you pay taxes via your pay check. Employees match dollar for dollar the taxes that you pay, but Bacon does not pay taxes on your behalf. Not sure how they get away with it, but they do.
by KAmuzic
I’ve tried several times to register and it keeps giving me a error message. I’ve tried different days even after updates. Worthless app. Developers please remove BaconWorkOnDemand from the AppStore until it’s fixed and ready to launch. I guess I get what I pay for - it’s free.
by SimpleRick2020
Worked a shift for these guys that was an hour and a half drive from my house. Turns out the employer says I never showed up (even though I clocked in at the job site and the time clock TAKES A PICTURE OF YOU WHEN CLOCKING IN!!!) so they’re refusing to pay me and are suspending me from using BaconWorkOnDemand for 30 days. Horrible horrible app. I suggest just doing day labor at PeopleReady. They pay the same day and don’t try to get free work out of you. Wouldn’t recommend Bacon to anyone, even Wonolo is a better work app
by G.positive
App will probably be very beneficial once all the cracks get filled!
App just crashes after I write a description and push withdraw. Will update rating after this is fixed
by Isaacpcc
I should be able to ask an employer a question about the job before I apply. App has also been crashing recently.

Nice people, well organized event, would work this again!

His spoils great for finding some jobs to just help bring in a little more needed money
by Tswiftloverboy
This actually makes finding work pretty easy. I’ve found several shifts near me, and there are a bunch of different options so it’s not like having a full-time job where you do the same thing every day.
by Anfnfkfkfk
I was let off my full time job and came across BaconWorkOnDemand. At first I was unsure but I gave it a try and was surprised to find jobs paying 10 to 14 dollars an hour and is flexible day to day work. BaconWorkOnDemand really helped me before I moved to a different state! Thank you never had an issue with my pay or companies canceling

BaconWorkOnDemand has been an amazing tool to find jobs around me. I have only worked one job on BaconWorkOnDemand so far but it was a great experience and I was paid very quickly. Great job on your app Bacon! Keep it up!
BACON IS NOT RELIABLE. I signed up for a catering shift. Started an hour earlier to help out company for their event. 10 Bacon associates did not show. The ones that did had no restaurant nor catering experience. They played on their phones, walked around watching everyone else work. Many left at the original time the event was scheduled, but cleaning was still on-going due to staff shortage. A few Bacon gig workers began to yell and argue with catering staff, saying racial slurs, cussing, being very unprofessional. Even the Bacon representative left the event early, she was leaving the company, her last day only a few days away. She obviously did not care one way or another about anything. And if it couldn't get worse, I still have not been paid for the work performed. Which is going on over two weeks now. Emailing everyone under the sun to help me. Their supporting regional staff is snarky at best. Tech support acts like petty 5-year-olds refusing to resolve any tech/payroll issues. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE THEY ARE.
Still haven’t been paid for a shift I worked almost a week ago for stadium drop. The only option it shows is for me to contact the employer directly. Why should I have to that when I was hired through app? Really needed the money over the weekend which is why I picked up the shift. Secondly they don’t disclose everything in the job. When I got to my location at the stadium I ended up walking the entire cowboys stadium because they didn’t know where they wanted me to work. I was so tired before the shift even started and my ankles were on fire. Lastly the company itself doesn’t provide anywhere for you to sit. So you’re on your feet for 9hours plus a lot of walking which is not what I signed up for. Pure torcher and yet no pay!
Joke of a company, showed up on time to address given for my third shift. Building had 12 units none of which had the name of the company I was suppose to work for. There was no unit number given in the address and the manager didn’t have a phone number listed. I message the manager through the app and contacted bacon support immediately. Manager never responded and bacon support said they would contact him and get back in touch. I went in to a couple of the units and asked if anyone knew the company I was looking for and no one did. Manager ever responded and I waited over an hour for support to contact me back. I contacted support again and they told me they weren’t able to get ahold of anyone and basically nothing else they could do. I left and that night worked a shift for another company that I had six days scheduled with. Went on my break and looked at my phone, I had been suspended for no show even though support knew of the situation and I had lost my shifts. I contacted support but it was after hours and I wasn’t even sure if I would be paid to finish my shift. I explained the situation to my manager and he told me they were slow to go home but he wanted me to come back for the other shifts. After two days of explaining what happened with bacon I had my suspension removed but not the strike for it and was not able to get the shifts back that were removed and not paid for the couple hours worked because they say I was suspended when my shift started even thought I used the app to check in and would not have been able to do that if I was suspended
I've been waiting for 19days to receive a payment from Thanksgiving I worked I've been emailing and left a message,I've even sent in proof from stadium drop when I had worked and I still haven't received any payments for Thanksgiving holiday or my tips I made that day it shouldn't take 19 days or more to help someone that work with bacon app before and done sent in proof,I won't work anymore shifts with bacon app cause it not professional as a business to take 19days or more to help with a payment
It's had me on pause I've emailed them and got some help but it's not been useful I've given my new # but haven't heard anything from them. I am so upset cuz it actually was very helpful and got some amazing jobs through the app just need someone to call me please. 9862180200
Tried the service, what a waste of money. 4 workers were late, and turned away because the crew left for the jobsite and they got paid for just showing up. 2 workers didn't even meet the requirement of lifting 75 pounds and were turned away and they got paid for showing up. DONT USE - unreliable service and why pay someone for not following directions.
I don't see my funds in the stripe account or my everee account, it doesn't even say in the app Tht I completed the job soni can't except another one.
I was referred to this app but can’t get the numbers they were post to message me what am I to do
I’ve done almost 50 shifts for this company and NEVER have been paid within one business day?! Everything about the app is a lie..
Hi I am just wondering how the back up shifts work. I am assuming it is like being on call for a shift if they need you? If I am right I am just wondering how soon before your shift is supposed to start you will be alerted and told you need to be there so you show up.
This App seems to be limited to the Utah area? Perhaps covering a broader scope that I could find via Google. There’s no way to see before you give all your info...IF THE HAVE anything in your state/region. Nor can you see the entire job board. The ideas great and like most things... I’m sure it takes a while to get the glitches out. Plus toss in a healthy helping of COVID... I might check back later, for now it’s not worth the space on my device.
