Wait was forever which is okay because that means they’re busy. But the person I had was super in personable. Just made it about them and then left in the middle of a conversation. I even gave them two minutes to come back (the last time they responded was 5+ minutes) and nothing!! They even used the stupid “just don’t do that” bull that everyone makes fun of AND even mentioned that my life was a “mess” even AFTER I put it in the little summary thing. That was all I needed. I just wanted to vent but HearMeapp made me feel a million times worse. Do better with the listeners.

Overall HearMeapp is Great! It’s nice being able to chat with members and help them through hard times. The only difficulty has been having chats available. As a listener, I am utilizing HearMeapp for an internship but it is hard to get hours in during certain times of the day and unfortunately I don’t have any other availability.

Found HearMeapp by chance, and I’m really happy I did so. Every listener on HearMeapp goes through a selection and has to be approved before becoming one. Therefore, when talking in HearMeapp, be confident you are talking to someone who really wants to listen to you.

HearMeapp is such a positive space! You can connect with people that are volunteering their time to let you vent and talk through things that may be bothering you. The listeners are awesome and really kind! It’s great to have people that work hard to create a space and supportive space.

Hopefully this message can get to the CEO, I wanted to give personal thanks and extreme gratitude for the making of HearMeapp. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I get to be a friend to people around the world!! That is the greatest feeling ever! To be there for someone and not even have to know anything about them, making it such a judgment free place to express ones true self to another. Thank you so much for this, I had asked the universe for something like this and then I stumbled upon it through a dark time I’m going through. Also, this is my first day using it and already have multiple requests for dedicated chats.

HearMeapp is so wonderful. It’s such a beautiful way to connect with others comfortably, in order to receive the mental and emotional support that one may need and may be unable to receive in their current environment. Both as a member and a listener, I enjoy the interaction and am so glad that such an app exists!

It feels so good to have someone focus their full attention on me, even for just 15 minutes. I didn’t think this would really make a difference, but after I texted with a Listener, I felt refreshed and ready to face the day anew. We definitely can all benefit from having someone to talk to. These are real people who are ready to listen to us.

I’ve always been interested in helping people and volunteering. After discovering the hearme app I immediately joined and started supporting members. It is an incredibly rewarding activity and I definitely feel like I’m making a difference. I encourage everyone to join and become a listener and spread just a little bit joy

HearMeapp has lots of potential I love the idea and concept behind it I will recommend to everyone I know since what they are doing here is a good thing. We all just need a someone to talk to when we are lonely and you can find that here! With all the lovely listeners ready to talk to you and support you and care for you.

I’m doing the 8-week internship for HearMe and I really enjoy the experience of helping people from around the world and just being there to listen and support others through whatever situation they may be experiencing. I like that it is confidential and that it helps solve real problems in the world especially during this ongoing pandemic.

HearMe has been an absolute life changing experience. I don’t know that I would have managed to come through the pandemic shutdown and the loss of so many things I had taken for granted without it. No matter the issue or the amount of space needed, there was someone available whenever I needed; and quickly. The listeners are thoughtful, compassionate and empathetic; all without it feeling weird or robotic. More like an old friend who genuinely wants to speak a while.

Thank you HearMe! After using HearMeapp for the last year, I am in the process of becoming a listener myself! I want to be able to give and help to those like myself who just need an ear for a bit without the fear of being shamed for it.

This is a great app for when you want to have a venting session or just someone to talk though your feelings. It’s important to remember that they are NOT professional therapists, but, that doesn’t mean the conversations you have aren’t any less impactful! I highly recommend this for mornings when you’re just feeling “blah” and want to vent away that negative energy.

I’ve really enjoyed my first two weeks as a listener - it is a really rewarding experience where I get to nourish my active listening skills and exercise empathy and care. HearMeapp is super user-friendly with various topics of conversation to meet members emotional needs. I’ve chatted and supported members all across the globe. Six weeks left to go and I am excited to connect with more unique and interesting people!

As a volunteer listener, I enjoy talking to people about whatever is on their mind. There are specific categories for listeners/talkers to choose from, in order meet users’ needs. I found this to be very helpful when starting a conversation with a someone. HearMeapp is easy to use, and well-designed. I have never had issues with HearMeapp, as it works very efficiently.

This is a fantastic solution to a real problem. If I can talk to someone who will just listen to me, be empathetic, and maybe help me sort some stuff out that’s occupying me, it is guaranteed to make my day better. I need this authentic, non-loaded, non-judgmental, caring interaction in my life! And so does everybody. Let HearMeapp help with your home’s quarantine crankiness! Your spouse, kids, or parents don’t need to know how your venting... but they will appreciate when you have a better mood later.

As a volunteer listener, I have greatly enjoyed having conversations with members who need support. HearMeapp is easy to navigate for both members and listeners. When requesting a chat, it allows for the member to select a specific topic they would like to discuss with their listener, which makes it easier to start the conversation. I would recommend HearMe to anyone who needs some support or just someone to talk to. I have found great joy in being able to be there for others!

I’ve been a listener on HearMeapp for 6 months now and its been a really rewarding experience. Being able to converse with people from all around the world on various topics has brought me so much insight on others’ struggles and has left me feeling appreciated and grateful for all that I have.
The only thing is I wish there was a feature to alert the listeners when a HearMe user is asking to talk about a heavy subject, since sometimes we want to listen, yet aren’t in the right frame of mind to listen on those subjects.

Becoming a Listener for HearMe has honestly been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m apart of the 8-week internship program and I’ve already talked to and supported so many people already. I love the fact that it’s text-based as well, it definitely helps both listeners and members feel a lot more comfortable. Being in the middle of a pandemic is such an unpredictable and stressful time and, knowing personally how it feels to not have anyone to talk or vent to, I’m happy to be able to provide that kind of support to others like me.

When I found out about HearMeapp I was really impressed by the idea. This selfless app really exists solely to help and support people going through tough times and bring people together. As a listener you gain as much as the person seeking comfort. It’s completely free for everyone involved and there are no ads so I’m not sure how HearMeapp supports its costs, I’m assuming it’s a non-profit. Anyway I’m still relatively new to using it but I would recommend to anyone who wants to listen to others and become a more empathetic person. The training teaches you to really listen and empathize with others without judging them.

As a listener for HearMe, I’ve been having a great time helping people and supporting them with what they are dealing with. As an app in general it’s a great space to share your feelings without any worries of judgement or rejection. Especially during a time like this, it’s great to have a app that allows you to talk to people who are always available to listen.

I found HearMeapp during quarantine and I absolutely love it. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, maybe a minute or two. Other than that, HearMeapp is amazing to just vent have somebody to listen to your problems and not judge you. They give amazing suggestions and they’re open minded. You have to follow all of the rules and boundaries but that is only in place to protect you and the listener. I believe everyone should use HearMeapp even to talk about small issues in your life to the major issues in your life. And when you need it they provide the appropriate resources to help with where they cannot. Please just give this a try, you will not regret it. Everyone has something going on these days, especially with quarantine, winter in February, natural disasters and financial crisis please give this a try.
