Wait was forever which is okay because that means they’re busy. But the person I had was super in personable. Just made it about them and then left in the middle of a conversation. I even gave them two minutes to come back (the last time they responded was 5+ minutes) and nothing!! They even used the stupid “just don’t do that” bull that everyone makes fun of AND even mentioned that my life was a “mess” even AFTER I put it in the little summary thing. That was all I needed. I just wanted to vent but this app made me feel a million times worse. Do better with the listeners.

Overall this App is Great! It’s nice being able to chat with members and help them through hard times. The only difficulty has been having chats available. As a listener, I am utilizing the App for an internship but it is hard to get hours in during certain times of the day and unfortunately I don’t have any other availability.

HearMe has been an absolute life changing experience. I don’t know that I would have managed to come through the pandemic shutdown and the loss of so many things I had taken for granted without it. No matter the issue or the amount of space needed, there was someone available whenever I needed; and quickly. The listeners are thoughtful, compassionate and empathetic; all without it feeling weird or robotic. More like an old friend who genuinely wants to speak a while.
Thank you HearMe! After using the app for the last year, I am in the process of becoming a listener myself! I want to be able to give and help to those like myself who just need an ear for a bit without the fear of being shamed for it.
