I’m sure SilverSneakers is great for some people but I have a disability from a car accident several years ago. I’m only allowed in the water per my doctor. I’m NOT driving to a side of town known for its gang activities nor am I driving to another town over 45 miles away in order to be able to find a participating gym with a pool when there is one less than 5 minutes from me that SilverSneakers no longer participates with. All I’m saying is they need to consider the needs of everyone and not everyone can do exercises that they offer but would love to be able to do water aerobics. SilverSneakers is a useless benefit for me.

I find it difficult to use the orientation, as it only offers vertical in one direction. It would be nice if you could see SilverSneakersGO horizontally, which is easier to read. Also, filters aren’t very useful if listings don’t provide more detail about services; i.e., If you’re just looking for yoga classes, there’s no filter option for it and even though some of the providers listed offer it, you have to contact each one to find out if they’re having classes or not. There are also filters for acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, etc.; but if you select only those filters, you get “no matching locations“. Maybe those services are available in some locations, but why show them to me in my location if I don’t have the option of using them. SilverSneakersGO needs some refinement and updating to make it useful.

The Fitbit app it a lot easier to use. If this wasn’t linked to rewards, I probably wouldn’t use it. It knows if I sign in from my phone but doesn’t credit my workout to my account if I use my log in from my TV. It’s dumb to have to work out watching a 17” screen when I have an 85” TV.
I had to turn off notifications because I was really getting hammered.
I do like being able to log all my workouts, short & long. I will hop on the rebounder in front of TV when it strikes my fancy, or put on a music video channel & dance for 30 minutes, just because & so tracking all workouts is a plus.
I wish DESPERATELY that we could log workouts in real time. What is the big deal? I find myself waiting for the quarter/half hours to start workouts. If it syncs with my Fitbit eventually, why not?
I do think the Fitbit app (unfortunately bought by Google last year) is probably the best user friendly app of its type.
This isn’t bad. It’s just not “great.”
Being able to enter a real time would go a long way toward improving it.

While Maria is happy, enthusiastic, and positive, it is not one of my favorite classes. The moves are almost exactly the same every time...no new movements, no effort to keep it interesting.
I get tired of trying to inhale and exhale about 30 times with Maria...not only is it boring and not a real exercise, but the exhale includes doing”party snake” hand waving and “disco hands”....I have no more breath to exhale after the party snakes.
Today we stood on one foot for over 2 minutes while Maria talked about various things....it is good to distract us, but it was too much.
I really need a cardio class so I keep coming. I do take Zumba classes also, but they are not always offered when I can take them.

Joined silversneakers a few weeks ago and downloaded SilverSneakersGO at the same time. Frankly i’m a little disappointed. SilverSneakersGO is not very robust in allowing you different ways of tracking your workouts. For instance, if I go to the gym and work on strength training, aerobics and yoga why can’t I select all three of these items? SilverSneakersGO only allows you to select ONE item. And why no duration for the workout performed? I can go for 5 minutes or 2 hours and in SilverSneakersGO it makes no difference! If I tell SilverSneakersGO I’m visiting the gym ahead of time I can only select “general workout”, or “class” and that’s it! I’d like to know what I did that day for recording purposes. I’ve used better apps..........

So thankful for silver sneaker live classes that is why I am taking the time to let you know my thoughts.
I would like to just use the ap but I want to be able to see the class instructors. I also have problems at times joining a class with the ap. There is a rough transition to zoom. Even though it is past start time of class I have to try several times to open to class.
I would also prefer to not receive emails confirming or reminding me of classes. Is there a preference setting for this. A text reminder would work better for me.

I am a fan of SilverSneakersGO and the concept seems good. I use it mainly to schedule and keep track of in person sessions at my fitness center. With the pandemic it hasn’t been much of a help. So I decided to give guided workouts a chance again.

They don’t function, if you watch the video for the exercise it messes with the workout. When you hit start it jumps to the next workout. When you hit previous exercise the timer doesn’t always work. The videos show in landscape and the exercises show in portrait mode.

I am so frustrated after trying three different workouts that I am not sure that I will try any more. I want a guided workout to go from beginning to end just like an actual in person session. A pause button for rest or equipment would be good but continue where it was before I hit pause. A timer bar or clock would be nice but the instructor count should be sufficient. An equipment list on each exercise screen should be available with a complete list at the start.

In general the easy and intermediate seem geared to someone who has never worked out at all.

I appreciate the On-line Live classes, especially when traveling, the logging of Community Classes when I attend them at my nearby facility with a SS certified trainer, AND being able to log my own activity/workouts at home, parks, etc! In addition, the seven or so instructors whose online classes I have attended are excellent caring teachers, motivators, and lots of fun! All these options keep me motivated! Thanks!

These online classes are important to me at age 71-I lost a lot of flexibility and tone during this COVID isolation after our classes stopped. I am grateful for the alternative - I hurt my foot when I first started but am back now. The variety of classes and instructors is first rate. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it keeps listing my attendance as incomplete- maybe because I don’t interact before, during, after? I completed every class so far except one which was just too difficult. When we are done exercising I logout!

This is a good app. I am really enjoying the classesI have done this past week. The various trainers are all fun and encouraging and I am starting to get a feel for my style preferences. I do wish there was a way to get help with class selection as I am not not sure which are best for my needs particularly putting together a program for a 75 yo in decent overall health but who has put on 30 lbs. since covid became an issue and walking 4-5 miles a day is not helping even though my calorie intake is on the low end.

I have been using Silver Sneakers for about a year now. SilverSneakersGO is a great time saver. I like that it keeps my activities and sends a reminder notification without downloading and adding the activities to my calendar.
The inability to rotate SilverSneakersGO is my primary peeve. The other option that would make it better is if I could add in advance more than one week’s activities.
Keep it up, you’re getting there.

Silver Sneakers has definitely played a large part in my ability to workout to stay fit. My local In-Shape club is a mile from home. I walk there, workout for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, then walk home.

When I’m away from home, I can keep my fitness schedule unaltered because I’ve found Silver Sneakers clubs wherever I’ve gone.

What a great reward for becoming a senior citizen.

I love SilverSneakersGO and will be using it daily. With the facilities shut down during the Coronavirus crisis I am so happy that I can workout at home.
I am disappointed however that the walking workout seems to be fickle with the voice of the instructor and the music. One day it’s there the next it isn’t. Can someone look into this please.

I have loved using SilverSneakersGO for Live classes. It somehow is more motivating than watching a video. I especially *LOVE* that SilverSneakersGO uses Face ID and I do not have to sign in and remember a password. I wish ALL apps did this. I love that you can keep a record of all the classes you have done. It is very helpful. Thank you for making this user friendly!

I just became Aware of this Silver sneakers site and began using it for exercises. There was so many resources I could not believe it! And I really enjoy the beginning exercises and beginning yoga so far. I am thrilled to have these available for me either as a zoom class or on demand on my own time. I highly recommend these to any senior who wants to stay in shape!

Very flexible. Helps me determine my daily routine, offers progression in those routines as I get more fit and provides lots of well-rounded choices to suit my capabilities and needs. I use this 5 or 6 times a week, depending on my schedule, and have been using this since the first of January. I have trimmed 20 lbs of excess weight and feeling really good!

Omgosh, I LOVE the Silver Sneakers’ app! It proves that no matter how old you are, it’s never too late to start working out, even if you need low, moderate, or high intensity exercises! I will admit that I have to cancel some sessions due to things I can’t avoid, but SilverSneakersGO even makes it so easy to cancel if needed! I appreciate all the work the instructors, schedulers, etc.....put into it; it makes life so much easier!! Thank you for offering Silver Sneakers!!!!

I have taken a dozen years of in person classes and am obsessed
With silver sneakers. The modifications are superb and each instructor makes you feel like you are their private student.
We need more of Katy who I discovered over the summer, however all the classes I have taken have excellent instructors.
I usually do the intermediate or advanced, but some days the beginner works for me. Thank you for all the work and time you as a team put into these online classes.

SilverSneakersGO is fantastic however I have not yet found out how to get to the store on SilverSneakersGO . I have to go to the website. Also I have to sign in every day when I use SilverSneakersGO . It doesn’t remember who I am and there is nothing to check to ask the computer to remember me. Otherwise everything you need is there. The classes are fantastic the teachers are even better and the program can’t be beat especially during this Covid time. It would be nice if they could have more on-demand classes like maybe record some of the online classes as they were happening and make them available to members.

I didn’t know about this program until my Mom moved into a 55 and over development in Wildwood, Missouri.
My Mom was 87 at the time and if you moved into this community you had this program offered to you Free if charge.
My Mom is now 93 and still working out. She said that is what keeps her living so long.
SilverSneakersGO makes this so easy for Seniors. I wish they had SilverSneakersGO for all others. SilverSneakersGO is Very user friendly.

I was so excited about having SilverSneakersGO because I workout at the Y every day and since COVID I’ve worked out at home. The workouts I’ve tried show a move and you have to manually advance to the next move. I want cardio workout that is complete from beginning to end. This stop-start-mess with my phone-try to keep going approach doesn’t work for me at all. Sooo disappointed. Web site has workouts, but only 8 that I’ve found. Just add some full workouts to SilverSneakersGO and everyone can be happy! 😊

SilverSneakersGO is great for some things horrible for others.
Good for teaching you workouts, locating gyms, and so on. All of that is important.
App help when you encounter a problem with it is zilch. I have been trying to log workouts after they are completed and it won’t let me do it. There is probably some simple answer to this problem, but I’m not going to find it in SilverSneakersGO . SilverSneakersGO is not giving me a message to tell me why it’s refusing to log the workouts. Very frustrating.

The workouts are not the same as the website. Took me forever to discover this for navigating through SilverSneakersGO is a pain. You pick a workout and it takes awhile to see if it’s for you. If it’s not you can’t just look at another one you get a message say do you really want to quit. And that’s not the only place you click to do something and it asks you to verify the f that’s what you want the do

Love being able to use this on the go. Only issue I have is that sometimes it doesn’t find the place that I go to regularly but I can always get to it later because it pops up after my workout. Love the individual workouts. Never was one for meditation before but I find the one for drifting off to sleep helpful. Still more for me to explore. There are perks to aging!

Tried logging activity but app could not find location. It’s less than 5 miles away from me! Can’t get further since there’s no location. Horrible. No user input.

After developer response, I tried SilverSneakersGO again and was pleased! Seems to do all it claims. I would like to see a tab or button for repeat tracking.

For the most part, I really love this ap. It is user friendly and has lots of options for seniors to get a variety of workouts for any skill/fitness level. There are a couple glitches in the 20 minute walk (it tends to work sporadically) but it isn’t enough of an issue for me to stop me from using it or recommending it to other seniors who want workouts that are tailored to their physical abilities.

Easy to follow and track my progress. I look forward to working out with the beginner flexibility / mobility exercises workout. I had shoulder surgery and this program has increased my range of motion in a short time. I definitely will continue to use this exercise workout. I am looking forward to trying the strength program in the next couple of days.

Having had to stop the SS classes at my Senior Center, the SS App and SS Live Videos are extremely user friendly and facilitate the ease of continuing my exercise regiment. It also allows the tracking of the other forms of excise I partake, on your own.
This is helpful to me, as I am conscientious in staying physically limber for my health. Everyone can reap the benefits as you see fit. Good Luck!

I usually wing it when I go to the gym. I went this morning and was able to easily follow the strength program. There was one exercise I couldn’t do because of my knees, but I was able to easily adapt because it gave me another exercise I could do instead. Thank you Silver Sneakers! I can’t wait to do my workout tomorrow!

I stopped my golds gum membership the month before they started offering ss. I travel so I didn't think paying a fee plus annual maintenance charges was worth it. SilverSneakersGO gives me updates plus when I travel I can join a new gym or go to one I’m already a member. I hope they add more I use multiple ones ea with its own features.

After retirement and reaching Medicare age I learned through my part B insurance about the silver sneakers program, I never have been a Gym type person while working, but now I use the full benefit of this program. I feel better I look better and everyone should participate in SilverSneakers when it’s available to them.
