Good UI but missing Backlog view

I just installed this once my department upgraded to Jira 8.3. I like the interface and ability to find my active tickets easily. It's easy to add a comment, including tagging someone.

My issue, and the reason for the 4-star rating is that I can only see our active sprint, but not the Backlog view, to choose any other sprints. This is a big deal to me.

I can search for tickets if I know their ID or do a text search, plus use various standard filters (e.g. Created Recently, Reported by me, etc.).

Not perfect, but really good

Having used the mobile web version of Jira for a few years (while muttering under my breath), the discovery of JiraDataCenterandServer was a delight. It’s clean, intuitive, fast, and although some of the actions and options available in the full web app are not available here, it’s perfect for doing a bit of work here and there on the go.

Much better than the mobile web version

The UI is so much better than the mobile web version. There are some things that I would like to see (like some of the git integration information like commits, branches, open PRs, etc.), but it performs the subset of desktop-web JIRA functionality good enough for me to give it 5 stars.

can’t even check server compatibility

Useless app. It can’t even get past the “enter site url” screen without complaining that I need to contact an admin has to change server filters to allow unauthenticated requests.

Why not just authenticate first? This seems like a problem that shouldn’t exist, and I as an engineer should never be expected to talk to an admin, or to anyone. Not even my family.

I didn’t know it was possible to be more useless than the Jira mobile site, but given this can't even login, this is more useless.

Needs JSD Support

Agree with other reviews here: Without JSD support JiraDataCenterandServer is of little use to the audience who needs it the most.

Beyond that, yes, it does work well.

However, if the intention is to keep calling JiraDataCenterandServer “Jira Server”, then all 3 applications (Core, Software, Service Desk) need to be supported.

Does not show ServiceDesk Projects.

Or JSD issues in Servicedesk projects.
Worthless for everyone who has also JSD projects (naturally these are the ones which profit most of the advantages of an app which allows them easy access to their system from their mobile)

This was a fail on the very foundational basics:
Who needs mobile notifications and the possibilty to quickly comment on an issue to avoid stalled issues?
-> Well for sure not the people which work with issues involving customers, having SLAs and going overdue!
...not!

That they did not even tried to deal woth JSD issues the same way as jira issues so i could search for it or see if my name was tagged in a comment... no, Atlassian pretends the whole project does not exist...

Works great for self hosted installations!

I think a lot of negative reviews are because they are thinking they are installing jira cloud. If you run your own jira instance this is JiraDataCenterandServer for you, works great!

The response did not contain a body Error

Is been receiving this error for a while which completely makes JiraDataCenterandServer useless as nothing will be displayed. And even when going directly to a specific record this error is displayed. In the last few months there’s been 1 day when this had worked correctly.

Nice

Good interface and easy workflow. So far it’s worked well for quick updates to issues. Keep up the good work.

Jira service desk doesn’t support

I can’t add issues in my Jira service desk project and in notifications don’t notify me about this project
I’m waiting to solve this problem

By

Unbelievably bad

Notifications don’t push for days and then suddenly come in, dozens at a time. Error 500 is a daily occurrence. JiraDataCenterandServer doesn’t work the majority of the time. Even when it does work, it’s horrible user experience because the UI is trash.

By

It’s worse

Each update gets worse with each iOS update. All I want to do is open an issue and read it. Maybe it only works as design with JIRA cloud. If you are on JIRA Server expect to be disappointed, just use a browser.

By

Service Desk?

Why can’t I open a ticket to launch Service Desk? Says to open in a browser at this time???

By

Need More Features

It’s well designed in UI but features are not complete yet, for example service desk issues not open in app.
The second thing beside of feature is notification which is not work properly.

By

Useless without Service Desk

Our service desk requests require much more active engagement than regular projects, so those are the ones where mobile support would be much more helpful. Having project support before service desk seems pretty backwards to me.

By

Logs out every day

JiraDataCenterandServer is usable and has a good UI but it has a major flaw. It keeps logging the user out every day. The issue is not with the server, I have confirmed.

By

Nice app, needs service desk support

I’d give it more stars if it could do more if the desktop functionality. Where I work we’re highly mobile and having service desk as well as the other projects would be greatly useful!

By

Needs Jira Service Desk Support

While JiraDataCenterandServer looks nice, it’s basically useless for my use case. It needs Jira Service Desk support to become a daily driver.

By

Grossly inadequate

From the miniaturization of the feature set, to the overall performance, nothing about JiraDataCenterandServer seems polished or ready for the main stage. While I do see value in JIRA server, it's simply not ready.

By

Doesn’t save password

Giving 1 star because it doesn’t save your password. I have to re-authenticate every time I open JiraDataCenterandServer .

By

Logs out every day

JiraDataCenterandServer is usable and has a good UI but it has a major flaw. It keeps logging the user out every day. The issue is not with the server, I have confirmed.
