I love the concept of this app as someone who is passionate about the free exchange and dissemination of information without interference from government and self-appointed arbiters of truth. It's such a disappointment and so very frustrating that I can't enjoy Parler on my iPhone as a VoiceOver user. Many of the buttons and links are unlabeled or labeled confusingly. There are numbers in the main feed next to each post that I suppose are echoes, votes and so forth, but there is no indication of which is which. The objects are far too numerous in each post, requiring too many swipe gestures in VoiceOver to navigate the posts comfortably. Those are just to name a few. I would love to sit down with someone on the developer team and discuss the issues and how to make the UI more VoiceOver friendly. If anyone on the developer team is reading this, please respond to this review so we can start a dialogue, if you will. This resource is much too valuable for me not to try and help make it usable for blind iPhone users.

I downloaded Parler to see what it was all about. I am visually impaired and use screen reading technology on the iPhone to use applications. I normally reach out to developers before I publish reviews on issues, but there is no way to reach out to them so I am forced to do it this way. The sign-up process is definitely biased. Not sure what the whole what is your favorite color thing is, but this is definitely exclusive to people who can see and there should be an option to skip. Moving on from that you can enter your information and sign up correctly using voiceover. The problem comes after that when they make you enter a capture. There is no audio option, this is not 2005. We have technology is in place to assistance who cannot see the capture codes. Google‘s recapture has audio options, and sodas pretty much every other capture service in the world. Not sure what this is about but there is no way to contact support and I am forced to give this application to stars. One star for potential and that’s about it. This definitely needs to be more inclusive for everyone and not be so ablest.

Giving your cell phone number in combination with other information is a huge risk to possible fraud. It really defeats the whole claimed purpose and mission statement of Parler itself. If this company is sold down the road, the acquiring company can change the current privacy disclosures policy and sell your information (except perhaps for California residents protected by the California Privacy Protection Act). Also, there is no guarantee that this companies databases won’t get hacked. I’m sure somewhere deep within the small print of the privacy policy you sign there is a “hold-harmless” clause protecting this company when there’s a data breach. There is absolutely no reason this company can’t make disclosing your cell an option despite what they say. If they ever do, I’d be very glad to sign up. Otherwise, this application unfortunately won’t be a very good alternative to Twitter.

When signing up for an account on this application, the final screen asks you to enter a captcha. I use an iPhone and the built-in screen reader, voiceover, to access applications. I could not find a way to receive an audio version of the thing that I was supposed to enter. As a result, I could not complete my account sign up, which is why I am giving Parler zero stars. There are other accessibility issues with the sign-up process as well. The first screen asks me my favorite color, but there is no way for me to know what colors are being displayed.
although one hears the word “check “when selecting the checkboxes associated with documents one must agree to, this only happens when you tap the button. The button itself is unlabelled. The documents you can click on in order to read them do not appear as links that you can click. You can double tap them, and they open, but it is not obvious that the items can be selected from the viewpoint of a blind user.

Don't get me wrong, so far, this app has been great. It's great having a social media platform with no fact-checking and censorship, which is pretty much the reason I have it. But, that being said, I'm not sure I'm ready to give Parler five stars for that reason as Parler is pretty buggy and lacking features (and people).

Parler is pretty buggy, but not buggy enough for it not work. It still works fine, but sometimes, I won't be able to comment so I'll have to sign out and sign back in. I've also seen posts being posted over and over and over again (likely a glitch). It's also pretty slow with touch feedback. With all of that said, with Parler growing in popularity, I expect them to fix these bugs soon.

Parler also lacks some features that would be nice, such as pinning posts, trending posts, and many other things that I probably forogt. But with the amount of users coming in, features like these will probably come soon.

And finally, there just isn't a bunch of people here yet, or at least celebrities and big companies to follow. So your feed isn't going to be filled up, but with time, more of those people will come.

With all of that being said, give this app a shot. You have nothing to lose but a little space.

First, the good:

1. The lack of “fact checking” here is so refreshing.
2. The ability to quickly “echo” without comment is a great feature.
3. Hashtags work as they should.
4. Did I mention no fact checking?
5. did I mention there isn’t censorship?
6. Did I mention that it’s actually what Twitter should be?

I have yet to see any sort of political leaning of this app: that is, I’ve seen both liberal and conservative and everything in between posts: nothing has been taken down. Good stuff. You can actually talk to people, and not get shut down by big tech. That’s been great.

The bad:

1. the font size and choice is peculiar. Hard on the eyes.
2. Conversations could use a much better refinement: sometimes it’s confusing to know what’s been replied to and what hasn’t. This is where this app needs to venture further away from Twitter and possibly more like a message board or facebook type of thread visualization. It’s not horrible, but it could be better.

Overall, it’s worth trying. As has been said by others, if it sticks by its principles, it’ll be where actual conversations happen as big tech continues to censor individuals that don’t agree with their points of view on politics.

Great site, there are a few bugs but they roll out updates fixing things really quick. It is very user friendly with some cool concepts. As people move over to this app for freedom of speech it has overwhelmed them causing the site to lag and have some issues, it will be fixed, just give them a minute. NOW for the heads up, twitter trolls are everywhere, they spew hate at everyone BUT on this app you have a block button, USE IT! They also have an option to make your account private, it will indicate that by a lock at the top left hand corner by your profile picture. This site is a space for people to interact and share ideas, debate and filter information that’s out in the world. Don’t allow childish, racist bigots from FB and Twitter to ruin your time on this site, your in control on this app. Thank you to everyone who made this happen and giving us a space to debate and share ideas! Your the true hero’s.

It’s about time! A social media platform for those with an IQ above an elbow. It’s been a long time coming. The thing is that we all know Twitter and Facebook (now Instagram too) are highly manipulated by foreign bots and worthless liberal leaning, America hating, flag destroying MARXISTS! People we have only ONE America and this is it! Are we really going to stand by and watch the greatest country in the WORLD become a third world crap hole? We’ve got to stand together. We have got to support one another and the Constitution of the United States! this app is allowing those of us who love this country to voice our concerns and share our FACTS without the interferes of media blackout and shadow banning. Now is the time! Try Parler and know you will be happy you did! It’s way better and more geared toward adult conversations and not the safe space snowflake brigade!!!! What do you have to lose? Try it! See what being free from the constraint of one sidedness is like! Total freedom!

I left Twitter for Paler, and I may also leave Facebook... the simple truth- both Twitter and Facebook are anti 1st amendment and they will divide and destroy our country. Our country is built on freedom- free speech, freedom of religion, freedom to work, to move around. You may not like someone else’s speech, you may hate it - but you do not have the right to suppress, edit, fact check or otherwise mess with that speech as long as America is still a free country. this app, so far as I can see, is creating and supporting a free exchange of idea - and I will support and use it as long as that is what it does.. Thw app works fine and the more folks support it, the more it will improve and expand and get better, and add features! Thanks this app , continue to fight for freedom!

I recently downloaded this app after several accounts I followed were deleted and harmless stories were flagged and taken down. I was fed up and sick of Big Media controlling the content I was shown, which was only the content they wanted me to see. The greatest right one can have is the freedom of speech. this app gave me as well as every other user that. I was relieved to see real news, not biased, crooked media. DOWNLOAD Parler - especially if you are in the same boat as I am. It’s time to make a stance against big media/tech companies by ditching their platforms and moving to places like this app. And to Apple, if you take Parler off the AppStore, I will discard of every apple product, service, etc. that I have bought from your company and take my business elsewhere.

To create an account, the final step is entering a Captcha. The trouble is your keyboard will turn all lower case letters into upper case letters making it impossible to prove you're not a robot. Just when it looked like the robots were going to win, a Captcha came up with all upper case letters. I was able to enter it and create an account. this app needs to come up with another way to keep the boys out because it's keeping new users out.

Next, this app's founders look like they're right wing and into politics. But you don't have to be either of those things to join. You create your own experience on this app. Follow the people you want, search and use the hashtags you want, post what you want.

They respect your privacy. They don't sell your data. That's the most important thing of all.

I love Parler. I think Parler is what America was founded on/for in the regards of free speech. Being able to speak my mind without fear of being censored is nice. But more importantly it is being able to find information that others may find hard to believe or true enough that it threatens them to sensor everyone else. We should be able to connect with ppl around the word in a peaceful manner without fear of being shut down. this app has given back that freedom. I have not seen anything that would say otherwise. Plus we are all adults (if your child is on there that is your own thing), but if you can’t handle seeing life then turn the page. Walk away. Anyways, i just wanted Apple to know that they need to make a stand and keep this app up. Do not bow down to big MSM and take away all of the rights of the ppl that are now on this app, that would make the other social media’s a monopoly and that is not okay.

Don’t believe the haters. They’re just upset because they can’t censor what they don’t like. Since my first day using this application, I have had great response from their support team. The only time we had any trouble was when certain groups of people migrated from Twitter to this app and really tried hard control. I’m afraid their skills were lacking. Just like any other social media platform you were going to find people posting ridiculous things but you have to do a little thinking and you have to actually read the articles they post to. I think this is a great app and the fact that John Matzke will not censor you with the exception of threats of violence or criminal activity is a great thing. I recommend that Apple stop trying to be a big brother and leave Parler where it is.

This is a social media app every person should want. No censorship as long as you abide by the perfectly reasonable TOS. It’s not meant to be an echo chamber like Twitter or Facebook. Adults can discuss different views honestly and openly. Something that is not available on other social media publishing sites. They say that Apple will remove Parler from Parler Store. I hope that doesn’t happen because I would miss all the iPhones, iPads and iPods I’ve purchased or ever will purchase. Apple shouldn’t be teaming up with a political party or pushing a political ideology. When corporations team up with government to punish political opponents, that’s the exact definition of what Fascism is. Apple needs to let the owners of the devices decide what they want on them. Just make the devices and sell them. Leave your political ideology out of your business. Get woke, go broke is a very real thing.

I chose to go with this app shortly after they went live. The reason being is because I am a firm believer in the United States Constitution and the frame work our founding fathers crafted for our beautiful nation.

I have been a member of Facebook since the very beginning, back when you couldn’t get an account unless you were a college student. For 17 years I have used Facebook to share photos, videos and even rant my personal beliefs as comic relief for my friends and family. However the past few years, Facebook has become a draconian platform filled with biased censorship, at which I have fallen subject to.

this app on the other hand has lived to the standards of protecting my first amendment rights and does not tell me what I can or can not say. Regardless of what ever is said on social media, whether true or not, I do not believe it is up the responsibility of big tech to deny anyone their right to freedom of speech. Where I do not believe it is right to “yell fire in a crowded theatre” I don’t think platforms should take responsibility to determine whether or not there IS actually a fire. People should know, you can’t trust anything you read on the internet regardless.

Here’s a tip to others. Do your research, and if you don’t see something with your own eyes, do not take it for face value.

Apple, please don’t ban this app. A lot of us would love to see just one BigTech American company have a backbone and stand for American freedom. I’ve been on this app for awhile and have not seen the kind of information some of the reviewers are mentioning. These reviewers are just stoking the fires of hate once again. What was done recently at the Capitol by the right is nothing in comparison to the summer of 2020 when many liberal left-wingers burned down entire cities, looted, rioted, murder, and beat innocent people senseless? And those were just some “peaceful” protest, according to legacy media. As our next president likes to say, “Come on.” We can’t turn a blind eye to these tactics any longer. Truth is being silenced in our country. this app offers a place without an agenda. A place where freedom still reigns. Where truthful journalism can still be found. Hang in there Apple and stand up for the freedoms of this nation.

Parler is not nearly as polished as some of the most commonly used social media apps yet. But it is improving. So why the 5 star rating? Because I am allowed to speak freely!
In my house political, religious, and economical dissent is allowed. I want those in my house to be respectful, and I like having the final word (after all it’s my house). The only role for government in my house is to stop illegal activity by proving it without excessive interference of my liberties.
I want my social media posts and pages to be like my house. this app does that.
I’d like to have the ability to edit my posts when I discover poor grammar or spelling, I’d love the ability to easily tag my friends. And I wish users would use real names so I could find them though I understand the fear of the cancel culture we live in. But free speech far outweighs minor complaints about functionality!

I'm an iPhone user and had no problem signing up for this app. It's a lie that violence is being promoted and there is a way to report posts. The creators of Parler are awesome to honor 1A and the functionality only continues to improve. I love that everyone's freedom of speech is respected, making it 100x better than Twitter. It took me a little bit to get used to the layout and settings. I even reached out to support to report what I thought was a glitch, once, and then responded within the same day with guidance that helped me identify the setting I need to change. LOVE that customer support on a FREE app. I really enjoy Parler . Note: right now, as Twitter suspends Trump, there is a flood of new joiners, so Parler is having some adjustment issues. Don't worry, we've been through this before. The developers will work it out as the community expands. Don't let Apple shut it down!!!

I downloaded Parler when Twitter and other big tech companies decided to start censoring anything that opposed their blatantly biased views. I’ve never looked back since making the switch. I can now see the news that is important, the details that would constantly get lost or removed on other platforms that claim they support free speech (which we all know is a total lie). I’m able to follow the people who were always censored, and I can finally hear the truth about America. The platform is easy to use and it is a safe space for everyone who doesn’t get offended by the truth. With rumors of Parler being removed, download it as fast as you can before it’s too late, and get to know the truth about this country. And, don’t be concerned about all of the one stars, those are clearly just haters who feel the need to destroy anything that is considered conservative (despite Parler being nonpartisan).

I’m giving it a 5 star rating regardless of the quality of Parler (for now) because this is what we need as a nation. A platform, not a publisher. The fact that people refuse to think about the abuse (and abuses that have already happened) that censorship could be used for is disheartening. Let the people decide what sources to believe in, then at least if they make the wrong choice, at least they had one. By censoring posts, any person with the power who has any sort of bias could completely disenfranchise someone or even an entire group. We don’t live in a perfect world and it’s gonna be a sad day when people wake up to realize that years into the future - when any efforts for reform are stripped due to the inability to express opinions or share information on the web that might challenge those in power.

I love this platform after Twitter is becoming a horrible place to be. Everyone on this app (pronounced Par-Ley) appears to be nice, professional, and not a bunch of bullies like I have seen on Twitter in the past year. I’ve been on Twitter for 10 years, I have many followers, and many like me are slowly migrating to this new app. There are some bugs but that is to be expected as they are growing phenomenally within the first few weeks. I just joined this past weekend. If you are looking for a place that you feel at home the way Facebook used to be when you had fun with it years ago, and combine the attributes of Twitter and the way it works, I highly recommend Parler. Once it is completely functional I see it taking over on social media.

I saw many recommending this app as an alternative to Twitter, and boy, were they right! No shadowbanning, no censorship, no stealing your followers in the middle of the night, AND, it’s RED!

The site is easy to navigate, with upvotes and downvotes on posts, echos and comments. Their keyboard has a ‘return’ button (BIG plus), their photo saving option is much easier than Twitter’s.

Do they have some bugs to work out? Absolutely, but their support is super-responsive, and they’re gearing up for what will hopefully be a very successful platform. An EXCELLENT alternative, which is why I’ve given them the 5th star in advance.

this app has saved us all!! No more censorship like twitter. No more picking and choosing what they allow you to say like Twitter. No more getting suspended or kicked off or any of that like Twitter. It’s freedom of speech all the way. I had very few followers on twitter. I wonder why? In two days I had 100 followers on this app! All posts are up to date and things happen as it happens real life. So many people will follow you and you them. Yes there are still glitches to get out because it’s new but let’s all grow together.

At last, a social media site that doesn’t censor free speech. I’m not the type to post controversial pictures or comments and I have had tweets and Facebook post censored. Both were subject matter for my students history assignment. If I’m being censored for a history post for a group of 7th graders then it’s completely out of control. I have Block and/or muted people because we don’t share ideology but that’s the fabulous thing about living in a free society. You can say what you want but I don’t have to listen or participate in it.

The better part of America is breathing better now! this app is long overdue, but, really glad it's here now!
No more shadow-banning. My posts are transmitted across the reader spectrum as they should be.
Such a positive, upbeat vibe. Everybody works together and wants each other to succeed here.
AND NO BOTS!! Oh, I'm sure the progressives will be sending in the disruptors at some point, but the difference now is, they don't stand a chance against our United front. We will work together and stand together to help our Great President - to #MAGA Make America Great Again!

Liberals and leftists are going nuts with fear of this app and free-speech. I joined and use both Twitter and this app. In just a week, I have seen so much growth on this app, which of course means growing pains. The professionalism and response of this app team is amazing though! They are working day and night improving app and working out kinks. It is JUST as user friendly as Twitter and even classier reminding everyone to stay polite but also that we are free to block anyone with whom we have a problem.

I will keep both Twitter and this app for now but as this app grows and once the President opens an account, I’m so done with Twitter’s bias!

Since Twitter has became a pile of heaping feces catering to the left, eyes have been glued in anticipation awaiting the inevitable talent to produce a non-bias App, hence, the this app App. Like any new business, kinks are being ironed out swiftly, and the this app App is beaming with promise for the silenced and shadowbanned victims of Twitter and other known social media platforms. There is community on this app, voices are heard, there is hope here as well as a welcome mat for all voices, and that is precisely what freedom of speech is, to be heard, to be allowed to have opinions without being thrown in Internet jail.
I highly recommend giving her a try, especially if you are aware of the bias of the likes of Twitter, Facebook, and instagram. So take care and thanks for reading,

I have been with this app since Laura was banned from Twitter. Wow, what a breath of fresh air to be able to express common sense, conservative views without being shadow banned, and QFD banned by the gestapo over at Twitter. this app is great about listening to its users and making updates based upon what we would like to see in a social media platform. With each update this app gets better and better. They take Freedom of Speech seriously over here. The only speech denied is the standard death threats etc that is true for all platforms. The difference is no hidden algorithms designed to censor conservative voices. Come join the this app family you will not be disappointed.

Love Parler . Took a little getting use to but I’ve made it threw... I also wanna say that we speak our mind and yes it is directed to more of the conservative mind set which I love I don’t get bullied for my way of thinking but we also have Democrats on the site: we as conservatives don’t get to speak our mind here we do! Everyone will answer questions you have on this app! I absolutely hate Twitter the only thing it’s really good for is making liberals cry and then they block you. You can have a serious discussion on topics here rather then people telling you your just dumb. I think this social media site is going to be epic! They are making it easier to use everyday too!!!

After openly expressing my views on Instagram my followers went from 6-7 a day, to those numbers remaining, yet no increase in follower count. I’ve had my profile for over a year and should easily have 1000+ followers.....I have 219 as of this morning and it has been sitting around that number for three months. I’m up to almost 100 after being on this app for 2 weeks.......the bias is real and it’s truly disheartening. But the engagement and action I see others taking and not lying down makes it worth it. Definitely will be using this app for most political discourse. Even the trolls who come to talk are contributing to a platform they are afraid of in other realms. Beautiful thing capitalism.

Parler itself is running better and better. It’s very Twitter-like, and seems to be getting more robust with added features as time goes by. But what really gives this 5 stars is the introduction of a new concept in Social Media: the idea that the USER, not the Media Company, decides what the conversation should be. The users control content. No shadow-banning, no throttling, no mysterious reduction in followers, no biased algorithms. They only ask you to abide by 1st Amendment rules as set forth by the Constitution and the SCOTUS in regards to what you can and cannot say. It’s a breath of fresh air on an internet clogged with social media overseers thinking they know better than I do what I should and should not be able to say. Bravo to this app for bucking the terribly anti-freedom of speech trends.

When Twitter began to censor Conservative views and commentators I liked, I looked at several platforms. Another platform I joined was Gab. However, many of my favorite commentators who were kicked off of Twitter for their Conservative views have migrated to this app, and I am having massive technical issues with the Gab platform for which is seems it’s impossible to get any help.

I was looking for a dependable alternate social media platform, and my need for that increased when Facebook deleted my account. After my experience with Facebook, I can imagine the day when Twitter will do the same, and I am missing the accounts that used to be on Twitter that are now on this app. So this app appears at present to be a promising new platform.

So far this app does not have sufficient accounts to substitute for Twitter. However I believe it has a lot of potential, so I am giving it a chance. And, unlike Gab, this app appears to be well designed and responsive to end-user issues. Unlike Gab, many others I respect who were kicked off of Twitter are migrating here.

IMO, this app has surmounted a number of important challenges and has great promise. That is why I am giving the this app App a 5-star rating at this time.

I love this app! It is refreshing and open. Interaction is common, and intellectually motivating! Many great minds are being found on this app that were silenced elsewhere! As long as you are not hurting anyone, or calling for violence against anyone (unlike twitter who allows this from the left) then you have no problem here! You can openly speak your mind and have honest conversation! Only issue I see is that we are not reaching those that need to be reached, those that are not getting true unedited information on Twitter. It is still a new platform, and as such is still working out the “bugs” to make it better. But it is getting better all the time and is growing exponentially fast! So if you still enjoy true freedom of speech (everyone is welcome just treat others as you want to be treated) then join us on this app!

Since I’ve been using this for like maybe 5 weeks I’ve gotten more followers from conservatives than I did in years of twitter. From all the feedback I get now I’m sure twitter was blocking my posts and not allowing me to see the people I followed all their posts. I deleted twitter last week and haven’t looked back. I’m so grateful for a forum where I can hear and and be heard from so many others who are conservative like me. Haven’t had any problems with people posting porn or trying to get me to date them.
