Blockstream BTC Wallet Green Reviews

I’ll share my recent experience with Blockstream Green Wallet. Not good so far, pretty much a nightmare. Opened a ticket with their support team a few weeks ago. Someone reached out, but no solution to issue. Blockstream has lost my BTC and accused me of starting Liquid Wallet.

Added Green Wallet APP to iphone and recorded mnemonic
Put fair amount of BTC in Green Wallet.
Phone stopped working. Damaged. Got new phone and restored all other crypto wallets (5 total) with mnemonics and then Green Wallet tells me my mnemonic is invalid and that it will only work on Liquid Network.
Blockstream tells me I can restore a Liquid Wallet with nothing in it, but not the BTC Wallet with half my savings in it.
Needless to say I am furious with Blockstream and their lack of concern for issues like this. I did not create a Liquid Wallet, only BTC Wallet. I am waiting for solution from them and if nothing can be done, I will be reporting them to the FTC and possibly seeking legal action.

Last ditch effort to recover, I am bringing damaged phone to Apple Store to see if they can restore power and at least let me log back into original Green Wallet. Still have my pin, unless Blockstream lost that too.

Avoid this wallet and company. There are far better wallets out there with excellent support. This is a joke and a crime.

**update after developer response: my app was updated to the latest version on an iPhone 12 max the issue is with your app. Will never use or recommend**
Have had BlockstreamBTCWalletGreen for a few days and all I can say is buggy. Log in and crash was the first encounter. Now I am trying to take my funds out and am waiting for confirmation, I tried to increase fees to make it happen faster and every time I click increase BlockstreamBTCWalletGreen closes. Would not recommend especially when dealing with something as valuable as your BTC Edit: I did update to the latest version. Don’t try and get off the hook that easy. BlockstreamBTCWalletGreen is seriously buggy and I would never recommend when you are working with something so valuable.

Nuff said in the title. I’m not the only one who has their funds stuck due to their “policy” regarding lost 2FA access. I have everything to prove that this is my account. But unlike other Wallet providers, these guys don’t do the normal thing if letting you access your account via your phrase. Oh and you want priv keys with that? Ha! Nope. Oh but you can *try* their GitHub tool, which involves some degree of technical knowledge that most end users are not familiar with.

So.. use at your own risk.

Balance didnot update even after many confirmations, so tried to restore from mnemonic , didnot work, kept getting invalid mnemonic error, something fishy or buggy. Hope I didn’t lose my funds. will update if this was temporary. Till then stay away.

Update: Got it working with same mnemonic a day later. Apparently their server had glichtes but clearly 2/2 signature not appropriate as funds will get locked up if their server goes offline

Installed in on two iPads, used same phrase, get different address. Don’t know what “feature” this is, but without at least a list of addresses I have no idea what is going on

I wish to suggest that you should make it possible for Bitcoins price to appear in USD and Euro in receiving and sending screenshots so that this wallet can be used for trading. I also wish to suggest that your reduce price update time so that we can have price update faster. I also suggest you add a Bitcoins price Chart on the dashboard. Thanks!

The new UI is not ideal. I much prefer the old UI. I’m getting used to the new layout, but it’s hard to look at. Still a good wallet though, no complaints other than the new layout

For security reasons wouldn’t it be better to disable showing mnemonic in watch-only mode.

Great user interface. Very easy to use, especially in comparison to some of the previous bitcoin wallets I have tried.

I chose this wallet because it’s designed by Adam Back, Bitcoin core developer. It works flawlessly, it’s open source, sexy design, and I love the 2FA.

Also, great wallets like this need to be known about and used daily. Take control of your keys and your bitcoin. Be sovereign. #buybitcoin ya freaks!

Nothing loads after loading wallet. No balance updates. Try to access settings and it crashes.
Edit: newest update fixed it

I've been using various mobile Bitcoin wallets for about 5 years now. Each one has excelled in particular areas (simplicity, security, etc.), but this is the first wallet I've come across to work well in all areas.

Let me tell you one thing to the team. I am very happy with the security of this wallet. Only thing I ask if possible is to get quicker updates in price maybe a current price would be good to add.

To users hands down best wallet wouldn’t use anything else

Love the wallet and the optionality of picking single sig or multi sig.

Please implement Lightning. I want this to be my one and only wallet.

Reliable secure wallet, would highly recommend

Just deposit some money but it’s not popping up like how it was before I’m missing 2 deposits and it has been a couple hours now

I changed phones and forgot to turn off my 2FA via google before doing so. Now I’m unable to transfer my coin in or out of the wallet and I cannot locate any contact information.
