I’m an existing user who has been using the service through theweb interface before. So I decided to give an app a try to be able to track my crypto portfolio on the go. Very disappointed - I can’t even log me in! I reset the password and verified that I can log in from the web; when I go to CoinTracker , same credentials don’t work. I tried to register through CoinTracker - no luck either. CoinTracker is just too raw! For a service that I pay money for, I expect basic things like this to work with no issues!

this app claims they have support for BlockFi wallet integration. Sadly it does not work, after setting up my BlockFi wallet (this app says successful) my balance goes negative on this app (it’s definitely not negative on BlockFi). this app is dropping and ignoring transactions from my imported CSV file directly from BlockFi.
this app just tells people to manually enter their transactions in this case, which takes hours and not to mention the whole purpose of this app was suppose to be so I don’t need to manually enter all my transactions. I have now wasted hours and it doesn’t work. Hundreds of other users have poured online to reach out to this app for months for a fix, and still no fix.

this app is a rip off! TurboTax imported their file and it turns out they left 500 transactions with no cost basis. I have to fix each and everyone of them on my own on TurboTax is slow app of a website. I paid a lot of money for this and I have lots of work and wasted time because of CoinTracker. Do not sign up for this. Stop trading crypto. The IRS is ensuring that this is a difficult process and people like this app or just out for your money with little to no customer support and a bunch of lies in their files that will cost you thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in erroneous reports.

I like CoinTracker and the website and I have used them for my taxes last year. However, CoinTracker is still showing my holdings of coins from over two weeks ago, some coins aren’t in my wallet anymore yet CoinTracker still shows them and the everyday value of my portfolio is incorrect. I tried pulling the page for it to update but no luck, tried it multiple times, no update for CoinTracker , and I even logged out and logged back in but nothing changed, please fix this!!!

Basic accounting software if that’s all you need for basic minimal crypto transactions. If you make a lot of trades and pay for a more expensive plan that offers to help you fix the errors you get when their software tries to tally your trades, beware, they are very responsive until you pay then they stop responding to messages. I think they are just too busy to handle the volume they have to deal with. So you will be on your own to fill in all the gaps on their software. You pay extra for the help but they don’t respond to your messages.

I’m a bit fan of the website interface of this app, but I simply cannot use the iOS app because of all the rendering issues. I cannot change the timeframe of the portfolio page, so it uselessly shows my asset history back to 2017. The transactions page has text overlaying text so I cannot actually distinguish anything but the latest transaction. The prices page doesn’t show my actual asset value by asset class across time, it shows tiny graphs with needless white space of the asset’s unit trading price.
At least the wallet page is basically fine.

I enjoy CoinTracker and it is a very useful tool. Because of this I want to give it a higher score, but this bug almost makes CoinTracker unusable. However, I have around 40 different coins across 6 different exchanges/wallets and CoinTracker has trouble loading the correct balance. At this point the only way for me to refresh my balance is to completely close out CoinTracker in my multitasking screen, wait 10 seconds and reopen CoinTracker . Also, when I change my timescale after the correct balance is displayed, I have a similar problem. When I change my timescale it doesn’t refresh to my current balance. Sometimes I have to wait 20 seconds or I have to reload CoinTracker for the correct balance to load. Different timescales have different loading time which kind of makes sense since each timescale has a different number of datapoints. I can no longer rely on CoinTracker to give me an accurate representation of my current balance. If I want an accurate account summary I have to go to the web version which is unfortunate. FYI I don’t have this problem on the web version. If I had to guess the number of small coinbase ALGO APY transactions may be slowing the system since the rewards are payed out once a day. I’ve owned the coin since February 2021. For reference I have an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 13.

I had so much faith in CoinTracker that until I did my taxes I never checked in with it and when I did I was dismayed to learn that every interest that gets posted is counted as a transaction and CoinTracker allows you a limited number of free tracking information on your account then after that you pay the more you want the more you pay if Halsey included or my transactions that I executed in buying and selling I would be good they should separate entrance posted from the transactions executed. That would be a monumental move in the direction that would help their customers.

There’s an annoying bug that makes the timespan buttons do nothing except disappear when you click on them. The default view is the entire time span and it’s impossible to read clearly. I submitted a bug report weeks back but haven’t heard anything. It’s been about three months since the last update to CoinTracker .
It would also be nice to be able to view performance as a graph by category, but until the most basic bugs are fixed that’s second priority. Setting filters to automatically categorize transactions too.
That aside the list of transactions is very handy and it’ll be useful during tax season.

I am willing to pay a monthly fee for a good service, but the pricing here is very high. The free plan is useless, and the cheapest payed option is $15 dollars a month. Alright, I thought. You get what you pay for.
The whole reason I got CoinTracker, though, was to do taxes. It turns out, it would cost me another $200 to export the tax data! I’m sorry, but it isn’t worth it to pay $380 a year for this service. Maybe if I had high frequency trades on many platforms, but definitely not for hodling.

I was SO excited to see an official this app app in CoinTracker Store. It’s an added convenience to be able to check on my portfolios with an app instead of in a browser. The only thing that really needs to be changed is the allowing for more than 2 decimal points after the decimal. Some coins haven’t yet reached $0.01, so this app just shows them as $0.00. Disappointing, but I hope the developer is able to roll out this change.
by Swoodle123
I was instantly attracted to all the features that this app has to offer and was happy to pay the monthly fee, until I went on the website to check their change log.
This application has not been updated since November 2020. For an application that charges monthly services this is highway robbery. The features page is also great but I don't see any of the features coming.

Nice layer which is useful. Seems to be simple programming and they should plug into all the majors, not just Coinbase. For something which is 100% automated, it’s much over priced. A simple summary could be added for pennies and they could charge 50-60 at year end, and charts also could be more functional at no cost to them. All that would convert tons of free users to 50-60 a year to them.
At a few hundred, we will find work arounds.
Do it guys.

As others have said, CoinTracker syncs well with exchanges and does all the vanilla portfolio tracking reasonably well. I’ve caught some buggy transactions however and a significant amount of manual review is therefore necessary if you are using cold wallets. Also, CoinTracker does not track defi activity (e.g DEX transactions) so you may want to look elsewhere if that is of interest to you. The tax loss harvesting features are also quite limited.
by Brad711
Really hoping to see more development activity on CoinTracker because it’s the easiest way for me to currently view my accounts. Some weird bugs when filtering your portfolio by day, month, year, etc. I’ve noticed some other small visual bugs. Nothing major, but disappointed to see very little development activity to continue to polish CoinTracker.

I made a this app account for the tax feature which works great. The ability to connect my multiple exchange accounts and wallets is really nice. However, CoinTracker itself needs some work. It feels a bit slow to update. I often find myself going to blockfolio to check prices instead. Overall the graphs could use some work. They just feel clunky and not responsive. The worst “feature” by far though is the graph on the homepage that doesn’t update when you switch the timescale. It’s a confusing design to have the timescale buttons right above it when they aren’t related and the fact I can’t look at my entire portfolio at any other scale is obnoxious. I want to be able to see my recent gains/losses in detail. A big graph of my entire history doesn’t provide that much value day to day. Also the option to hide dollar amounts in notifications but still show percents would be nice.
by TremRobb
I pay per transaction and that’s okay but every penny earned from my staked positions counts as a “transaction” which pushes me to the next level of service (more expensive). Coin tracker should establish a minimum dollar amount that triggers a transaction and only update the smaller amount say once a month as one transaction. That’s my only complaint - the partnership with TurboTax is a total winner for stress free tax filing

Delta gets prices wrong, it’s inaccurate and unbelievably expensive for what it provides. Multiple times on Delta did it mix up different coins on Uniswap over other coins and is just not reliable.
Come this app a free app firstly that accurately tells you what’s in each of your wallets. It was even able to tell I was in a UNI/ETH Pool and give me the dollar amount of that where Delta just thought the funds disappeared.
Although it’s lacking features delta has and the UI looks kind of dated this is by far the best tried and true crypto tracking app available. Do yourself a favor and only use this app to see all of your funds in one place, there is no substitute plain and simple. I would consider this a “gem” in CoinTracker Store.
If there was a paid options that was fair and reasonable I will snatch that up immediately.

I’m finding this application to be quite helpful in managing multiple exchanges so that I can see what is in my wallets regarding my cryptocurrency investments. It can be a little delayed in updating transactions, but it’s still a good place to see everything in one location and CoinTracker works pretty well.

I love seeing the realized and unrealized profits; how my cryptocurrency portfolio is performing. Also I used the tax software with TurboTax which saved me hours in crunching numbers. My tax return was successfully accepted by the IRS. I use this app every day, several times a day and have all my wallet exchanges synced for accurate real-time numbers. I highly recommend it!

I use Coinbase and Binance US, but I move my coins to Trust Wallet to trade on Uniswap. this app reports back all kinds of incorrect data. While my Coinbase and Binance wallets are correct, and it sees my ERC20 tokens in my ETH wallet, It doesn’t include any of those trust wallet coins in my portfolio or dashboard. In fact, my dashboard is way off. Too many errors to be useful. Sorry to have to cancel my subscription and find another solution. Super bummed!

Recently portfolio is not updating new purchases. Coin totals in portfolio are not increasing when new purchases are made. I can see the purchase under “transactions” and the correct/updated total shoes on the wallet tab so it’s not like it’s not recording it. Doesn’t matter how many times I “sync” wallets…portfolio is still incorrect and asset list is becoming more and more incorrect.

I like CoinTracker a lot except for one bug. It is mis-valuing the per coin price of one coin I own - over valuing it by over 2000x. I don’t know why this is. I suspect maybe two coins have the same symbol?(MEME). It is throwing the total balance of my holdings off so far as to make that number comically useless. (Although is you could find a way to monetize the $2 million value it says I’m holding, I’ll stop complaining, LOL)
by Zala5
Pros: link API’s from many crypto exchanges. Great at keeping track of wallets and exchange holdings.
Cons: Daily balance notification doesn’t work across all devices, only notifies on one device, only notifies about once a week or a few days then no notifications for a few days...not reliable. No dark mode.
by Edk012
Overall CoinTracker is really solid. What I’d like to see is an easy way to see what my transaction prices were, the average price based on all buy transactions that I still own, and a view of that compared to the current price for that coin. I would like this at at individual coin and total portfolio level.

CoinTracker just track your crypto, isn’t made to move, sell or by cryptocurrencies.
One thing they have a really good customer service BUT, the work through email, not through WHATSAPP ( bc is so many scammers up there using their names, it happen to me so, be careful, they always contact you via email)

A very good portfolio tracker for crypto assets.
Only thing that’s missing for me are iOS widgets that would allow me to see the value of my portfolio on the Home Screen at a glance without having to launch CoinTracker .
