I used this app to apply for SNAP due to a major change in my housing situation that is making me pay for everything by myself now. I wanted to log in so i can upload documents and it keeps giving me an Unsupported Case message for medical assistance. I don't need medical assistance, nor have i ever applied for medical assistance as my insurance from work is perfectly fine. I applied for SNAP. It's incredibly frustrating for this to happen and, frankly, more demoralizing than the process of jumping through bureaucratic hoops already is. This is a major issue that needs to be fixed as it not only gets in the way of trying to get necessary help, but could risk people losing their help assistance if suddenly our accounts are being connected to the wrong cases. Pretty shameful.

While using this app I decided on a whim to update my contact preferences to email/text only, no paper. Save a few trees, right? A few weeks later I receive a letter in the mail saying that I’ve requested to opt out of my Medicaid services. Um, WHAT?! I call in frantically trying to fix this issue and realize that the date I submitted this alleged “request” was the same as the date I updated my preferences. Thankfully I got it sorted out, but I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I had been in a position where I struggled with reading comprehension, clear articulation, or anything else of the sort that could be impacted by a disability or by speaking English as a second language. This app is DANGEROUS. Use it ONLY to check your balance. Don’t use it for ANYTHING else, for your safety.

I appreciate that there is a login option with a PIN, however this function does not work on iPhone, and this results in a number of unnecessary steps/clicks to be able to login to the app.
The PIN login function is presented first, and once the PIN number is entered, the numerical pad does not disappear, so there is no way to select “submit” to proceed with the login with a PIN number.
Instead the user must close out of the PIN screen, select the “Sign In” button, close out of the PIN screen a second time, then finally reach a login screen to sign in with email and password.
And since there is no “remember me” function, the user must type the email and password each time to finally login successfully.
Once logged in, the app is very useful.
But getting logged in is a pain that could be solved by app developers making the numerical pad disappear after the PIN is entered, or introducing a function to close the numerical pad once the PIN is entered so that the “submit” button can be selected.
I will update my review once this issue is resolved.
