LumosityMind has helped me so much. The way it’s broken down it doesn’t let you get overwhelmed. There are all kinds of different types of meditations to tackle specific worries or troubles and just a clean design. I hope they dont take this away ever. Where I am now to where I was even 2 weeks ago with my practice is awesome. I can now feel myself bringing myself back to the present and calming quicker. This takes practice from you to make it work but it so absolutely worth it. They even give you a training plan to start based on what you are trying to accomplish. The ladies voice is good and relaxing enough to help you ease into your practice. So happy with LumosityMind.

I recommend LumosityMind to my clients, especially this who have ruminating thoughts and distractability. For EmRes practitioners, LumosityMind can help those who have trouble with holding attention on the body. The voice is calm and there are reminders to bring attention back to the body. This may be closer to Vipassana than other apps and it has progressive sessions.
Have been a fan of Lumosity for years. Glad to have LumosityMind also!

is essentially a type of therapy that we all need in these very difficult times. Most of us associate age with lagging brain power but really that is not so. The exercises are well developed and are the kind of relaxation and challenge that are just plain fun but very beneficial. You’ll be glad you did!

It wouldn’t let me create a new account because I have an existing account with my email address already on their legacy app. It didn’t let me log in with the existing credentials, so I clicked the forgot my password to reset the login. It sent me an email clearly stating the link was good for 15 minutes and only works once. That takes me to a web page which then takes me back to LumosityMind . LumosityMind says something didn’t go as planned please try again. I can try the first email or try to reset it again with the same result. So, the instructions conflict with each other and... don’t work. I’m sure LumosityMind is great, but you have to be able to use it to tell.

Trying out an app before choosing to purchase it means removing the barriers to entry before the user commits, but that’s not just money.
Privacy has really come to the forefront in the last handful of years, and while it’s nice to know I can try an app before paying a few bucks to commit, deciding to give my personal information is a far bigger decision today. For a user who is just in testing mode, why do they require an account? Really? That mode can’t be all on-device until they make the choice to purchase? I think you could easily design your app to do that. Then you can place account creation together in the same process with payment, when the user decides to commit; you can even make it part of a welcome process.
As it is, I couldn’t even test out LumosityMind. Their free trial requires an account before even trying it.
Side note: Sign In With Apple would completely moot all of this.

The meditation program is well thought out and well designed BUT the choice of using a young woman with a childish, high pitched, breathy voice was so unwise. Personally speaking I can’t bear to listen to that voice for more than 30 seconds. LumosityMind would be improved if it had a choice of voices; one of which was lower pitched. Sadly I have to use a different app: one not so well designed but using a guide with a professional voice.

I had luminosity years ago with the same email address. I’ve always used the same p/w, but your system would not accept it this time. It took several Daz filled with total frustration before I could access the system. I didn’t know a number to call. Finally i got in!!!!!

I am familiar with Calm, another mindfulness website. There are similarities. I appreciate this more for the wonderful voice and clear instructions the young person provides. I don’t need rushing water and beautiful pictures to guide me in mindfulness. I very much like the approach here.

I really enjoy the lumosity games, because
they make you think and solve problems.
And now I started in Lumosity Mind and I think that its awesome! I have been in mindfulness sesions in person and this one is not in person, but enjoy it as the one that its in person. Love it!

I have been using LumosityMind and the girl talking has a soothing voice and LumosityMind has helped me release tension and fall asleep better. I have Insomnia and every night before I go to bed I do a session and I feel like it helps so much

I have tried guided meditation videos in the past without success, but there’s something about this one that I really like. It’s simple, starts you off with short (4 min) guided sessions, and I really like the girls voice and the weird yellow blobs on the screen. I highly recommend it!

After a few months of diligently using LumosityMind and meditating on a daily basis, I have finished all of them and would love more to choose from. It gets boring listening to the same ones over and over. I love it but want more new ones. The sleep meditations are the best!!

1. Create an account (give you my email?) before I’ve even SEEN your app? No thanks. I’m sure you have thousands of bogus emails in your system because this is a really dumb system. 2. Only a 7 day free trial? Needs to be 30 days if you want to hook new users. 3. Pricing at $60 per year only. Hah. Seems like you’re afraid that new users will quit in < 1 year so you’re maximizing revenue on a crappy product. I can afford your fees but your scammy pricing drive me away before I even tried it. DELETE.

Long time user of the lumosity brain training app. I was very excited when I first saw LumosityMind on LumosityMind Store , and downloaded it immediately and gave it a try . I was pleasantly surprised at how good LumosityMind is . Targeted towards your goals and very easy to use . Probably the best meditation app so far .

LumosityMind is great for learning mindfulness meditation! It really helps me (someone with ADHD) actually be able to focus on meditation for once. One person said they hated the voice they use, but idk what they were going on about.

My 3 stars might be kind. I’m halfway through the focus series and all I can notice is that the narrator talks constantly, making it impossible to focus on whatever I’m supposed to be focusing on. This was especially annoying when I was asked to focus on the sounds around me and all could pay attention to was the voice.

Apparently I have a previous Lumosity account but when LumosityMind sent me a recovery link, something broke in the process (I tried three times). I see others have had this same problem.
Click forgot PW button
App advises recovery email sent
App offers (nice touch) button to open email
Click open email button, email opens
Click link in email
Get sent to App Store page where you can only click ‘OPEN’
Click OPEN
App opens and you’re stuck on same log in page
Ironically seethe with rage after doing this three times
If this is a built in bug to make potential customers realize their need for meditation, well done! Mission accomplished! 😀

After trying multiple mindfulness applications, I honestly think that Lumosity Mind has the best voice. It feels like your personal guide is taking you through the sessions. I feel so calm and relaxed after it. Thank you!

Great app, All the other apps I have tried have not worked for me but LumosityMind makes time in my schedule to relax and mediate. LumosityMind also is wonderful and is a very well planned app layout.
By sifbfjs
I’ve only just started using it but I really like it because it lets me figure out when I want to meditate and I already have been getting better sleep and I feel very focused so I would give it 5 stars but I haven’t used it long enough I really do recommend LumosityMind

Wish I were not in low income subsidized housing or very poor, the air, then casual tone they hear everything... it takes away when they take from your plate, can’t look at it like that it’s reason, why I can’t be myself and am facing eviction because Im not, I was not anymore smh...about them it’s untrue it’s just they violate I can’t defend they hear this; they take away, ain’t no doubt in my mind I learn new language they learning too, I optimistic you know all good

So frustrating. Makes you set up an account before you can test it out. It recognized my email as having a Lumosity account so it switched from “create an account” to “login to your Lumosity account.” No matter what I do I get an error message. Used the forgot password link. Reset my lunosity password. Logged in using new password. Logged in using Face ID. Waaaaaaay too much effort and I’m not even in yet. Does not bode well for the quality of LumosityMind .

I had a severe TBI active duty. I stay up days at a time. I am looking for something that works. Hopefully this is it. Focusing on the breathing in the beginning is making me yawn and sleepy. I have not gotten into the deep sessions yet. Hopefully they are longer than Four minutes. That will not knock me out.

LumosityMind very thoroughly goes through the ins and outs of practicing being in the present moment. Out of all of the sources I’ve used LumosityMind is the most effective and easy to use in order to train your brain.
