On iplayer (on iPad) when trying to play BBC 4X there is no sound icon to start play.
I use BBC Sounds on my Android phone a lot, and download radio programmes to the phone. Sadly, the last couple of days, the playback of the download starts, but then continually just stops (after varying times, normally 15-20 minutes but sometimes shorter), and appears to close down the BBC Sounds app on my phone. I then have to start it all up again. This has been happening the last two days for me, and is very annoying....please can this be fixed, it has never happened before in the years I have used this.
The app runs for about 5 min, then crashes and freezes everything. Had to restart my mobile twice. The problem wasn't there yesterday, this is the first time it occurs.
BBC sounds app only plays programmes for about 5 minutes then stops,phone crashes.I have uninstall app and reinstalled from google play,as well as clearing cache,restartinv phone.No difference psame problems occur.Any other ideaz?
App hangs on start up quite often. This is a frequent problem. Today it has hung again. Downloads sometime stall and wont be restarted, I have rebooted my phone and my internet speed is excellent 60+Mbps on speed test.
I have been unable to play BBC Sounds output on my Sonos smart speakers for weeks now - have followed all guidance but no result. Each time Alexa or Sonos will announce "playing Radio 2" for instance followed by silence.
BBC sounds app failing to load on all my and my partners devices. Message comes up on trying to open app saying “ there was a problem during loading “ and underneath TRY AGAIN. Received message ‘No Network connection - Try again’ tried reinstalling the app - with and without VPN even though it’s supposedly not geo restricted. Marina Alsop is rehearsing Shost 5 and giving background etc and would have loved to listen in

Having same problem as Angela H. I can listen to live broadcasts, but not playback. It just says, "There was a problem playing this content." Tried everything, not resolved. I think the app is undergoing maintenance.

Hi Sounds app stopy when I connect to blue tooth. The program stops so not a problem with the speaker. What is the 💤 that now appears. It’s on off but on the screen. What have you done. Used to work perfectly

The program I'm listening to stops after aprox 30 sec have to press start every time it happens 30 sec. WHY .!!!

The App has disapeared
Stopped working last night - would not load the app on android. Re-installed app and now can't signin to BBC account

BBC Sounds will not play any programmes. I have rebooted and reloaded programmes but it will only load up to a point but not as far as having the play button. When will this be fixed (again)?
The bbc sounds app works perfectly for 3/4 weeks and then break down first it will not respond to the touch of the screen repeats touches eventually work then either the app refuses to open or the download will refuse to play then my only option is to delete the app and reinstall which means I have to go through the last 4 weeks radio times and reinstall all the programs I want total pain between the cheeks there’s absolutely nothing wrong with my phone I’m a great fan of the radio having been brought up with the friend in the corner I’m particularly fond of radio drama I’m not the only one there is something seriously wrong with this app
At the end of a programme, (replay), app locks and it is impossible to exit app. Only solution is to reboot the tablet.
