Hi, I'm Saskia, and I'm thirteen years old. I'm a French and Australian citizen and I live in Paris. I would like to report something that happened to me earlier today at Roland Garros. For Roland Garros to be able to carry out efficient security checks where both the officer and person being checked feel comfortable, the queue is divided into two sections: one for men and one for women. The women are checked by women, and the men by men, which I personally think is a great idea and a really good contribution to helping women feel comfortable in their surroundings. When I got to the front of the women's queue, there were two security officers : one to check my bag, a man, and one to search me, a woman. I went up to the man and opened my bag so that he could look through it. I did not realise before opening it that there was a tampon lying at the top of my possessions, as I had packed my bag in a hurry this morning, forgetting about the security check. The male security guard looked at my bag, and saw the tampon at the top. He smiled, pointed at it, and, knowing exactly what it was, asked with a snigger, "what's that"? I just stood there, not really knowing what to say, as he kept asking me the same question over and over again until he finally laughed and gestured for me to proceed forward. Because my father was in the men's queue, he did not see or hear this, and no one else stepped in, although I am sure many heard. It is outrageous that security officers have not been trained or at least been given some form of instructions. This man was obviously not thinking I was a criminal mastermind who had hollowed out a tampon and put a bullet inside, because if he were, he would definitely not have been laughing or smiling, and he would have actually been expecting an answer from me. This was a horrible experience, and in my opinion this security officer does not deserve his title. I truly hope that this will not happen to any other girls or women, at Roland Garros or anywhere else. I also hope that someone will see this, and at least try to do something about it.

Very disappointed in the decision to play the Nadal Djokovic match at night.

It's a pity that the seemingly widespread French hatred of having to use the English language when, for example, interviewing a foreign winner on court after a match, several of your interviewers speak English with an accent that makes them difficult to be understood by the interviewees. This to my mind is both unprofessional and extremely rude. This afternoon, the on-court interviewer who spoke with the 19 year old Chinese national Qinwen Zheng after she defeated Simona Halep, spoke with an accent that I had trouble interpreting. Ms Zheng also had difficulty understanding the French lady, and Qinwen's responses, although probably prepared in advance, were spoken in flawless fully understandable English. Your petty decision to use interviewers with inadequate English reflects badly on the image of France and indeed the French around the world. I learned English in school, as my mother tongue is Welsh, which is at best a marginal language in global terms. The French language has long since lost the battle against English to be the main international language in the world, and you need to face up to that fact gracefully.

The French Tennis organization should be ashamed of their lack of understanding, and compassion for Osaka.

The integrity of the sport of Tennis, whether it is on the WTA/ATP circuit or a Major Master etc. This sport now has to put forth a better front for all the players/common people, suffering from Mental Health. Mental Health issues cannot be seen on the outside of the person, it is inside the individual, so there are no Casts to write on, no Bandages showing, BUT it is REAL. It certainly deserves more attention than a FINANCIAL PUNISHMENT, Naomi Osaka, a great tennis player, came out in the open to advise Officials, Players, in fact she was very PUBLIC about her state of health, and what happened, she was PUBLICLY PUNISHED, PUBLICLY RIDICULED for her integrity in being truthful and honest. WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED WAS SOME COMPASSION and TOGETHER DEALT WITH HER AND TO BRING IN HELP AND SOMEONE WHO IS UNDERSTANDING, TO TRY TO ABSOLVE THE ISSUE. ROLAND GARDEN OFFICIALS have shown the world that MENTAL HEALTH is not a real issue and proving that one must hide the fact that they need help AND you have destroyed all the hard work in which BELL LET’S TALK campaign had achieved. Please take a moment in each of your lives and if you never had a MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE please look into the background of people with MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, and what they have to endure. I urge you to stop putting money before a life. Now I read that you have expelled her from Roland Gardens Tournament, where in fact Naomi had resigned. BOY YOU ARE REALLY SHOWING HOW TWO-FACED SPORTS HAS BECOME. FOR GOODNESS SAKE EMBRACE NAOMI, ALL THIS PUBLICITY IS HARMFUL TO THE SPORT OF TENNIS.

Fines etc for players who do not attend media conferences following play are absurd. To be asked the same boring questions each and every tournament should not be compulsory.

Shockingly terrible

Congratulations for being the worst app of all grand slams in the 2nd consecutive year!(I assume Wimbledon and US Open will keep their standard as last Year’s) 1. When you want to see today’s results, even though you have selected the time frame(today), it still shows results on the previous days after today’s results. Only show the results on the selected day please?! 2. No overview of any draw. Really? I know you must think it is fancy when you swipe from the right it will show the draw in the next round. But there isn’t any way that you can see the whole draw. Oops, sorry, just want to see the whole thing, from the first round to the final, in one screen please?! 3. All info is not available after a while in the app. Happened more than 5 times, when you’re looking at the scoreboard(maybe it is on a breakpoint or match point), then “boom”, your screen shows “info not available everywhere”. Come on please, just want to enjoy the critical moment and thank you for ruining it!

What A Disappointment!

While an improvement on the abysmal abomination of last year, still lots of room for improvement. The weirdest thing is after a match ends, it seems to take as long as 45 minutes for it to appear among the list of Completed Matches. The Schedule is filled with pics of the players, mostly showing the torso with less than 10% of the oval area devoted to the face. While this approach displays the bust of the Ladies, it does not otherwise help in recognizing the competitors, many of whom are unfamiliar. A change in priorities would be appreciated! Also what are the “Titulos”. It seems this is French for More Information: why not just drop the Franglais for the English version of the website.

Terrible app

This app has an awful interface. Very lazy developer who cannot even be bothered to make an iPad specific app. Instead there is only an iPhone version that does not fill the screen on an iPad and even on an 11 Pro Max looks awful. In particular, when viewing live or completed scores or the draw, there is way too much white space and too little information displayed at one time. And the website using Safari is justvas bad. It appears that both app and website were designed for the smallest phone. This type of lazy development is becming more and more common these days.
