Missing an iPad App

No Mac App is okay with the web version, but no iPad app is killer...

Well designed UI, No data export

Mogul has a gerat concept - simple ability to record information about interactions. My low rating is because there is no way to get your information out of Mogul . At minimum I should be able to export all of my data. There also does not appear to be any back-up. If you want to use Mogul locally on your device (without an account) your information can't be exported. Also, it's not clear how to delete an account, there are no settings or help in Mogul .

I can't use a networking app that has no export and no back-up.

Update 11/15/2019 - Really disappointed to see subscription fees added and still no export functionality. Some free alternative apps are offering better features.

Good but so close to great

So much potential. I never write reviews but I’m hoping by some chance the developers read this.

User interface is beautiful! Definitely makes me want to keep coming back.

The search/people tab is nice and simple. I like the fact it displays the last interaction. But make it more easy to scan. Scrolling through the names is hard to do as all the small white text just blends together. Maybe try separating with boxes, colors, italics, etc. Also maybe small color boxes based on length of time since last interaction: Green is 1-6 days. Yellow is 7-13 days. Orange is 14-28 days. Red is 29+ days. Something like that.

The history tab is also nice, but it’d be so great if you could switch views to a list view that shows a full history, in chronological order, of all messages...split up by days. So for example, it has March 1st with 3 entries listed. Then February 28th with 2 entries. And so on.

Reminder tabs is darn near perfect.

Profile tab is also very good. I like the pinned bio. I like that the reminder pops up next, then interactions. I wish you could add custom interaction types (ie Text, Facebook message, Instagram, Etc.). Also clicking that three dot menu button gets old. I wish there were + signs that we could tap instead.

Your swipe to delete function is kind of frustrating because the whole page wants to swipe down to close every time. It needs to be less sensitive.

And finally, my last concern is with the price. $10/month is too high for this service. I pay $11/month for a Disney+ and Hulu subscription (for both) that keeps peace in my house by entertaining my child and my wife and I. That’s for access to tons of movies and TV shows for the same price as your simple service.

I would rather pay $3/month...maybe $5 for the fixes I’ve requested and future improvements. There’s a competitor of yours that offers these things for a 1 time charge of $25. Their software just isn’t near as pretty as yours.

Just something to think about. Best of luck!

Interesting start

Interesting start if things. What’s missing for a higher star review:
- backups

- file manager access through Mac (e.g. to get CSV export data)

- clarity on where data is being stored. Is it only on my device (not uploaded) or are there privacy concerns.

- companion app on Mac along with sync. Perhaps use the new marzipan functionality.

Love the simplicity. One feature request.

I love the utility of how simple Mogul is. What I wonder though, and I hope this doesn’t change the underlying architecture of Mogul , is if it would benefit from Address Book integration (as long as it’s done privately, please don’t upload it haphazardly).

For instance, I would love to (maybe in a separate tab to delineate new vs. current contacts) keep track of how/when I message family and friends. Because the reminders aspect is so useful.

Anyways, keep up the good work.

Very helpful

Have been using this app for almost two years and don’t know what I would do without it

A few tweaks would be helpful (e.g. ability to add multiple people to one interaction, see overlap between groups, add company names as an organizing field)

Amazing for keeping in touch

Mogul has honestly been so helpful. I’ve been using it to keep track of all the people I meet each week. The design is also beautiful on both the mobile and web!

Best app to manage networking

There really isn’t a better app that helps me organize my contacts in a user friendly manner. 10/10 recommend.

Fixed for iOS 13

Good app. Looks like devs are quick to update it as well.
