What is MyLATITUDE?

The MyLATITUDE™ Patient App is a free app designed for Boston Scientific patients who use the LATITUDE™ NXT Communicator. The app helps patients set up their communicator and understand its status lights. It also provides information about the status of the communicator for Boston Scientific patients. However, the app is not intended to replace the patient manual, and patients are advised to refer to their LATITUDE Patient Manual or call LATITUDE Customer Support if they have any questions.

Waste of time

MyLATITUDE is useless. It tells nothing that you don’t already know. MyLATITUDE says that to get more information you have to enter the model and serial number of your pacemaker. What’s the more information that it’s’ going to give you? The model number and serial number of your pacemaker. I was hoping to be able to tell when the last time my pacemaker uploaded data to the doctors office, when is the next time it is scheduled to do so, what is the condition of the battery? MyLATITUDE tells you nothing that you haven’t already told it.

Just an online manual

MyLATITUDE is basically nothing more than a manual, and not a great one at that. Even though it asks for your device serial number and your personal information, it doesn’t actually tell you if your device is working, what your last check in looked like, battery status, anything. There’s literally no reason I can see for it to even ask for your personal information, and worst case it’s yet another place that data could be hacked. What’s the point?

4G Communicator

Just installed my new 4G communicator per instructions provided. Setup was successful. With the new communicator were instructions to download the this app Patient App. It plainly stated that MyLATITUDE will provide information for various things such as ICD battery status, connection status, as well as scheduled transmissions information. So far I have found nothing but basic information about the communicator. Maybe I am doing something wrong or is MyLATITUDE just a joke.

Peace of mind

It is great to be able to provide peace of mind to family when who live far away that my grandmothers monitor is working appropriately and to know when her data has sent to the physician!

Only tells you what the Communicator does

Basically a waste of time and effort. MyLATITUDE only shows that your communicator is working there is no data read out at all.
The same information that you get by looking at the lights on the communicator.
Really wish I could see my real data

Easy to Use!

I love that I didn’t have to call customer service to help set up my communicator. It was easy to follow and saved me time!!

Waste of time

Learned nothing with this. Have a samsung smartphone only for use with this ICM (implanted cardiac monitor) with this Lux ICM system and not the “communicator” MyLATITUDE references. No online support for the smartphone and no weekend support at Boston Scientific at this time. Did put in device and model number and expected some info. Got nothing about my device! Gave 1 star as couldn’t give 0.

Where is my data

I want to see MY data. If Fitbit, Apple Watch etc can show me all of this information why can’t my implanted device? I should be getting the most real time accurate data possible. Let’s go Boston Scientific! Free my data.

Not even an app!

What is the point of this? It does NOTHING! It provides no information, has no functionality and no communication capability. It has less value than an out-of-date static web page. What is the intended purpose of it, other than for Boston Scientific to say that they “have an app”.

Did Medicare pay for this machine and all communications?

Don’t Bother Downloading

I see no reason to download MyLATITUDE since it provides no additional data other than (1) if your monitor is communicating with your doctor and (2) the battery status of your implant. That’s it- nothing more... what a waste... MyLATITUDE could do so much more!

Please show data

Was prompted to download MyLATITUDE to see data regarding my ICD. App shows last transmission and next scheduled transmission with three green categories. Would like to see much more data if possible such as a battery meter (like a fuel gauge), pacing percentages, max and heart rate, and therapy count.

Update took away my security

MyLATITUDE used to let me know that my transmissions were received and everything is “in the green”. After the “update”, it is just a colorful sales brochure for the communicator. I thought BS was better than this, but I guess they are just BS.

Date selector BUG

Day selector is off by one. Select your birthday and save then it displays the next day which results in NO data displayed from Latitude unit. When I entered my birthday one day less then my Latitude unit responded. MAJOR BUG!!!

All around ok but leaves off the most important thing, battery life left!

So much potential so little realized

How can BS create such a complex device like an ICD and yet have an app that is near juvenile at best?
By design or by fault, there is so much potential as to what MyLATITUDE can do that is not utilized.
It doesn’t tell the status of the implant or the results of any communications.
No historical record of communications sent to monitoring center/doctor.
And those are just a few of the harmless features that could be added.
Overall I give it a 1-star coz I can’t go any lower.

App Usefulness

I am very disappointed with the lack of I formation available to me. I expected to be able to see the information sent to my physician’s office.

No HIPAA protection for your PHI

WARNING: Read the user agreement. You sign away your HIPAA privacy rights when you agree to the Boston Scientific Latitude user agreement. You give Boston Scientific permanent ownership of your cardiac data (“output of algorithms”). Understand what you are agreeing to - the user agreement is misleading.

I thought it would provide information on the previous days’ results much like my crap app. It really is of little use. It is little more than a product manual.
