Why doesn’t TraceTeams support an iPad with just wifi ?

Highlights aren’t displayed—I have to navigate Trace online because TraceTeams doesn’t work which makes it inconvenient.

My iPad (11” pro, gen 4) is listed as compatible, however downloading is not an option - indicated from App Store its not compatible!! Please fix!!,

Why do you charge my credit card if you do not ship to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is part of the United States, It is stupid not to ship your camera here. Specially because you guys are based in the US. Now I will have to go with the competition, which is based in Europe, and they do ship to Puerto Rico! Very sad not to be able to help your fellow American citizens. Just charge more for the shipping.

They do not have a customer service number if you need help setting up, you to submit a ticket they don’t get back to you. I was missing a part and I have been dealing with this since November 30 and have yet to receive it, they have created the FedEx label since November 30 but have not sent out the equipment!!!!

Clearly says works on iPad 6th gen.
Can not download because it says “device not supported”

The idea is great, and mobile is working, but it seems TraceTeams is not supported. Trace team, are you planning to support TraceTeams anytime soon?

please allow viewing of games results on TraceTeams , very difficult to watch on the phone

First off, I work in technology and have for close to 20 years. I say this so you’ll understand that I’m not a person who has zero technical skills when reading this review.

We have 2 kids of different ages on 2 different teams, both use Trace.

App design is really weird. You login to TraceTeams but TraceTeams is basically useless. if you want to watch games you are redirected to the web browser. In the web browser it’s hard to zoom in and out because that’s not what a web browser was really designed to do.

Now I help set up the camera for games and have additional permissions. I’m now seeing that TraceTeams ’s true purpose is this function. But now that I help setup/run the cameras for my older son, I can no longer see my younger son’s games. I have to switch back and forth between different emails to login to view games or wait for emails to come out and click on links in them (which is hard to find emails from weeks/months ago).

The camera technology is great but they did not put much effort into the usability for parents/family members. It’s just an extremely painful process to view games. You should probably skip paying the fees until they fix the viewing experience.

Insane that this is what your offering is, given the technology you have in your hands. Makes no sense.

GPS didn’t work indoors and new AI is terrible. It misidentifies players 50% of the time so we have to watch and clip ourselves anyway. Editing feature is even worse…what a waste of our money. Avoid and go to another platform.

I have a profile linked into TraceTeams but TraceTeams is constantly loading and blank. I can’t do anything on TraceTeams even though my profile is linked. I have to use this platform on the web browser. Disappointing.

The idea on have AI clip highlights is great. And let me say the customer service staff attempts to be helpful.
However, after having this for a full season what I have found is:
(1) The actual video quality isn’t great
(2) TraceTeams is not very intuitive/user-friendly
(3) The AI constantly miss tags players
(4) Upload time to actually getting access to your video can be extremely long, particularly on the weekend when apparently they must have a lot of videos to process.
In the end, everyone on our team that I convinced to get TraceTeams went back to another tool before end of season. We are going to do the same.

I have both cameras and Veo is a much better camera, offering both a higher quality video and more in depth analytics. The recording does not always track the ball and often times lags on the play. The user interface is not very intuitive and does not offer many features. Ultimately a very basic camera and fails greatly in comparison to Veo. I think Veo is cheaper too!

It’s messed up how they took away the full game video on trace where you have to pay more for it and have 7 players to trace them and in my opinion it’s absolutely so stupid. You can only get your highlights which is unfair I rather have both so I could see the full game as well. Trace I had your stuff when I started high school and it disgusts me and you changed the update to this. You don’t even deserve a 5 star anymore

The team was excited to be able to watch themselves as were the families. The account issues the site and app have are horrendous. It’s so frustrating. The recordings are great if you can ever get to them. The ability to shift between players or just watch the entire game is so wonkie… the pro-account is a scam as it says you can download video but somewhere in fine print those videos are only available for less than 100 days unless you keep paying for a pro subscription which doesn’t even work for family members. TraceTeams is easy to record and the camera is fine, but if the account access is so muddled it doesn’t really matter how great the recording is. Support is only available via email, so good luck there. My team and the families are truly frustrated and when demanding our money back, via email because there is no one to call, it’s crickets. Pass on this waste of money!

You advertise this great app and function of the system, but this is far from user friendly!!! Teams that have more than 20 players cannot add each player to TraceTeams . I understand there are only 20 tracers to add players to, but you should be able to add all your players to the system and then assign the players rostered a tracer number!!!

For the amount of money Trace chargers, and the fact they want to use a cell phone app and have a website, this is just bad business.

SO ANNOYING AND DISAPPOINTING!!!

Avoid at all cost, unless like my situation, and the soccer club has a contract with them and you are forced to use the system.

TraceTeams is very disappointing. Anytime you want to do anything it just opens a browser and redirects you to the website, which never stays logged in so every single time you have to go through their 2 factor login process. I’m the team owner and coach, I can’t even adjust my roster or anything in TraceTeams . What’s the point of TraceTeams ? Just to run the camera.
STOP MAKING ME LOG IN ANYTIME I NEED TO DO SOMETHING!! PROVIDE AN OPTION TO STAY LOGGED IN.

I miss VEO already.

Let me start with the fact that if you have a game at 3pm and you set up at 2:30 it doesn’t place a hold, it will start recording since that time and then you get a email complaining for start recording in advance. The recent updates are horrible, now you must have a membership to watch the game, or if there is a way to send to a friend we can’t figure that out anymore. It used to be extremely simple.

Also I feel like an IT person every game I have to upload. I use to connect and download and no problem, but lately it’s always asking to push the update. Not uploading correctly and not uploading when plugged. I am not an expert, but I am savvy and handle technology ok.

Also I am a manager in all academy teams and I can’t watch the games for my children let alone the other teams. It only allows me to do that using the login were my boys are. I had to add my family email and work email for TraceTeams to work. That was recent. I used to brag about TRACE but no more. Customer service it’s good, but all via email and I feel like every day I am writing and sometimes I can’t even get it solved.

You spend thousands on a system that’s ONLY compatible if you have an iPhone to set up. Not even a iPad that runs on the same operating system will work.

If your machine is faulty and you’re trying to upload a game chances are you lost the game.

Accuracy on tracing is 50/50 our goalie a few times had more stamina rating than the other players and he barely moved.

The system is only good for OUTDOOR use so fall and spring soccer. That’s 4 -5 months out of the year you are spending thousands on equipment you don’t own.

We tried to use it for our indoor league the tracers do not work indoors,so we tried to bypass the system and use the camera only. It’s not possible to slip the trace case part so you still have to go through the steps.

You can’t record the game in its entirety it seems to only post certain parts. We will more than likely go back to our other system we had prior.

For the money you spend this is probably good for those running outdoor training all year around and games. Not when your in cities that have all 4 seasons.

You’re very limited to what you can do.

Video quality is good for highlights. Overall not getting your bang for your buck with this system.

Why on earth do we have to pay just to watch our own highlights now? It makes no sense whatsoever. I used to be able to watch my highlights with ease and without having to pay. Now, every time I want to watch highlights, when I’m logged in on my account, it tells me that I need to subscribe and says that I need to join the family. Why would I need to join my own family to watch my own highlights? That doesn’t even sound right. I’m logged into my own account, I click on myself for highlights, and you say I have to ask the player to join the family when I’m already in my own account. It’s a good app to analyze how you played and how you did but the fact that you have to pay is absurd.

With there was a way to cast the games to a Tav rather than needing to use your iPhone and screen mirroring

The Trace app is very simple to use and keeps the user on task with step by step instructions. The equipment set-up, viewing functions and Trace a game set-up have been very well thought out for the user. I would give TraceTeams 5 stars but have noticed one error in the roster settings. Between games one of the rosters for our club keeps adding a player to an empty Trace slot after we switch the player to a different number. We switched the player because a Trace cube is not working but when the operator opens the roster to hand out tracers it keeps putting a player in the bad slot. This does not happen on all rosters so we are in the troubleshooting phase to figure out if it is operator error or a trace app error. Once we solve this issue I would give the whole program 5 stars. The customer support from TraceTeams and staff have been amazing. Thank you

The trace system works as advertised and is well designed. It’s missing feature is to be able to just record footage without the tracers. There should be a way to stitch the two cameras together without the full AI analysis and get that footage to coaches. There are some practice sessions I would like footage of, but they aren’t always strictly two distinct teams that the AI analysis can follow.

Once we get that it’ll be 5 stars.

TraceTeams is awesome! I would give it 5 stars if they wouldn’t have removed smartcast. It was nice to watch the full game in your tv but for some reason they removed it recently. Please bring it back!

I really like how it personalized moments for players

You pay less than 10$ a month for the camera and as a kid that uses this device it has made myself much more confident with the ball at my feet I love seeing myself score dribble defend it makes me want to play more I think every soccer kid should get this😁, 5 STARS!!!

Really helps when you’re on the field

Trace App is super easy for the coach or team Manager when needing to set up the TRACE camera. No need to be a video expert when using TRACE.

The Trace App is very straightforward and easy to use. If there’s ever an issue or a question, the Trace Support staff is very prompt and extremely helpful to get the issue resolved or question answered.

TraceTeams is super easy to use when it comes to managing the Trace camera equipment. It’s quick to setup the equipment in TraceTeams , stop the game once it’s finished, and then upload at home.

TraceTeams makes it very easy to setup the equipment for game use. What really sets the company apart is their Customer Service. They are extremely responsive to any issue you may have. Highly recommend Trace.

We have utilized Trace for the past several years. We have experienced the progression of new features and technology. They system is very user friendly and the players love seeing their data/results after each game. He Trace team is quick to respond to any technical issues. The Trace APP literally walks you through the steps to Trace a game. Great job.

TraceTeams gives you step by step instructions on how to set up your camera and the tracers before and after each game. Simply give yourself enough time before each game, follow the instructions including the post game audio sync (important) and success! TraceTeams even gives you updates as you upload games for processing. Have been using Trace for 3 years. Works perfectly! Thank you Trace!

I manage our Trace equipment and find TraceTeams extremely easy to use. Everything is easy to find, understand and the support is readily available. I love that for set up TraceTeams walks you through every step of the way making sure you must check the boxes and confirm all is being done as directed. As a result, I have been confident that I did not miss a step and everythign turned out great for the team!! Love this product and love the fact that all of my team parents and players do not even need to download yet another app as everythign comes to them with just a click on a link in their email. Does not get any easier than that!

TraceTeams allows on-the-field set up of the Trace video camera. it provides instructions with pictures to guide you through the process, which makes it so easy that anyone could record a game on their first try. they also include a way to get urgent ‘on-field support’ if something goes wrong, and their customer support is the best out there. a very helpful FAQ section is also accessible through TraceTeams .
Trace automatically separates out several playlists which gives the option to easily watch individual player clips (the first thing we watch after filming a game are all of my daughter’s plays), or tactical moments from the game (the second thing we watch are all the goals scored, then our ‘touch chains’). you also have the option to watch the full game and the players can save and easily share their favorite soccer clips with coaches, family members and friends or to social media.
we have used Trace for the entire spring season and our families and players love it!
