🏷️ About:
The RehearScore App is a digital rendition of the Piano-Conductor Score that allows users to rehearse their music and run rehearsals right from their mobile device. It is designed to help users rehearse even if they don't have a pianist and offers features such as transpositions, isolating vocal lines, and adding cuts and vamps.
So, first off - it only works on apple products. That's BS right off the bat. Second, parts were missing the show we downloaded. The notes are in the score - put them in the rehearscore!
It was better when it was a desktop version. Edits were easier. This is trying hard for technology for technology's sake. Don't. It was fine.
Pretty crappy

It’s apparent that MTI is a monopoly company when you see MTIRehearScore. They have so much money, and yet they put out an app of such low caliber, simply because they have no reason to try any harder. They’re the only company with rights to make this kind of app. The sounds are horrible, like they just took software from over 15 years ago and adapted it to MTIRehearScore without changing any of the MIDI programming or updating any of those instrument sounds. The rhythmic programming is extremely buggy, too; the rhythms play like we hired someone with turrets to play it. It speeds up and slows down mid-beat, unpredictably. This issue makes it very difficult to practice choreography with.
People are impressed with MTIRehearScore in general, because it has some basic features, like showing the measure numbers and having the ability to modulate the basic tempo; but seriously—that’s not hard to do and is entirely expected of an app like this. MTI has made the absolute bare minimum effort in producing MTIRehearScore. It’s a useful tool—an essential tool, but it’s still so janky, glitchy, and low quality for something in 2019! I’m not an app developer, but I know enough about music programming to confidently say I could make a better app myself (and that’s saying something! Haha).
MTI, PLEASE FIX MTIRehearScore!
App doesn’t work on iPhone iOS15.4

It won’t play sounds. Otherwise it looks great. No support options from app. Even the MTI mobile website one is directed to from MTIRehearScore Store doesn’t work right. Pretty bad experience overall considering we paid for access.
Won’t load and keeps crashing

Every single time I try to load up the music that I need to practice the musical I’m in, MTIRehearScore just shuts off and brings me back to my home screen. Then once I go back into MTIRehearScore , the music won’t load up and it will stay at the same percentage.
For me, I can’t hear any sound. My volume is the whole way up and I’ve tried so many times to fix this.
Bad sound quality

TURN ON RINGER

by KMKM019375
I just got MTIRehearScore and spent forever trying to figure out how to get ANY sound. Luckily I thought to check the reviews and saw that other people said to turn on the ringer. So far it’s worked fine past that, but that should be a more broadcasted thing so that we don’t have to spend so long trying to understand
Too many glitches

I’ve been using RehearScore to practice songs for a musical that I’m in, but the practice loop is broken. Almost every time I use the practice loop one random measure just simply doesn’t play. This makes it impossible to practice and extremely frustrating. Please, please fix this.
Good but...

I have used it for only one show and it is great for running through scenes with the cast. However, you cannot solo the instruments, so the band has much less flexibility when practicing. Could be much better.
Helpful and better than nothing, but there’s so much more potential here

I’m using MTIRehearScore for the first time, we’re a couple of weeks into rehearsals of 9 to 5. I would usually use some kind of music composition app to help learn my part, but that involved inputting each note one at a time, sometimes for more than one vocal part so I could hear how the harmonies fit together or better understand where a part came in, which was all very time consuming (and I usually just didn’t even bother with the accompaniment). MTIRehearScore makes singling out my part a lot easier… but not quite easy enough. For one, the vocal parts aren’t always clearly labeled or they may be called different terms by the musical director-for example in the opening number I sing the alto part for the first chorus, which is the melody, but in MTIRehearScore it seems that part is second soprano. Another issue along these same lines is that I do switch from alto to second soprano within the same song, but there is no way to change that so I can play the alto part and then the second soprano unless I just pause the song entirely, and my only other option is to play both parts simultaneously.
The biggest drawback between MTIRehearScore and my previous method of playing back my vocal part is that I could change the instrument for my vocal part so that I could easily differentiate it from the other parts. With MTIRehearScore, the vocal parts are all played on piano, which means it blends together with the other parts and even the accompaniment. Yes, obviously you can mute the other parts, but when it comes to things like trying to figure out where a part comes in over the backing track or trying to hear what your part sounds like against, say, the other parts of the harmony or overlapping leads, well, it all just sounds like piano. It would be EXTREMELY nice if we could get a handful of different sounds (personally, I always tended to go for a xylophone or marimba) to use for the vocal parts.
Being able to skip between sections is great, I do kind of wish you could have all of the lyrics in MTIRehearScore instead of just the first line of a section.
It seems like there is some way for the music director/director/etc. to make changes in things like tempo so it syncs with the cast’s app, which is super nice! However we’ve had several instances where it was decided to cut a few measures (things like dance breaks, etc.) and I assume this is easier to do when doing the actual show, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that within this rehearsal app without manually skipping to the next section. This has led to a lot of confusion and false starts in our actual rehearsal since we’ve decided to cut those measures but we still end up sitting through them waiting for our next cue. (I could be entirely wrong about this part since I’m just an ensemble member and not the music director, this is just my understanding of it.)
Other than that, MTIRehearScore ’s pretty solid, although it’s common for it to stop working altogether until the person closes it out entirely and starts it up again.
Super helpful, minus a few technical issues

It would be perfect if we could listen to the accompaniment in the background while another app is open, or not have to worry about MTIRehearScore stopping when the screen goes black after too long.
Otherwise, solid app.

This is a great app for rehearsing; however it took me forever to figure out how to produce sound. I had to turn my ringer on. The description does not tell you how to produce sound so I couldn’t rehearse for a week. I hope RehearScore will fix this for future users.

I love MTIRehearScore now that I have figured out how to use it. I had to turn my ringer on to be able to hear anything. A little confusing but very helpful when learning new songs.
It’s good it helped me learn my part but the only problem is my phone kept turning off in the middle of a song so it really frustrated me but otherwise it worked good for me.
I think

How do you make account? Please answer my question.
I recently used MTIRehearScore to help me learn Sweeney Todd. I love the fact that MTIRehearScore gives you the option of measure numbers. Yeah, the sound quality isn’t the greatest, but it doesn’t have to be.
How????
