Was fine until the last 2 updates

Evermusic was great when I first got it, would be five stars, but lost a star after an update because the album covers thing got screwed up. It would either choose its own, or not have one at all. Other than that it still worked fine. After this latest update, I’m very disappointed. It stated that the album covers thing would be fixed, I go into Evermusic and all but a few of the album covers are not there. Just blank. The ones that do have covers are not the original cover I chose for the album. Just all the same picture from my Google drive. When I chose edit image, it fixed it for just the album image, not the album images next to the songs. And that’s not all, I can’t even upload songs from Garage Band to Evermusic anymore. I use Garage Band to make songs and I copy them to this app. Now, it doesn’t give that option. It just says “this app” and it loads the song and then nothing happens. It’s not in there. At first I thought this was a problem with the Garage Band app, but when I went into this app I discovered that there is now an option to upload your songs from in Evermusic by just choosing one from files. I did, and it just loaded and loaded and didn’t do anything. If you fix this stuff, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Thank you in advance.

it’s just that, amazing.

Although not perfect. I just upgraded my phone to the eleven max pro and it had refused to let my old app (musicloud pro) download onto it since it is no longer in the appstore. And this app was the best bet I can find to something akin to my old app. All my music was downloaded with ease, and I absolutely love the organization feature so I can rename all my files! The music plays nicely, the templates offered are absolutely insane and I just love everything about Evermusic . The only thing I must comment on though is the file photo cover.

I tried many times to switch the covers with one of my own from dropbox but it never loads, although my personal photos will load onto playlist covers. I just wish there was a way to fix this, and to edit album covers (so that all the songs from the specific album can have the same personalized photo automatically) just like I can edit playlist covers. The file covers they have accumulated from the internet are mostly abhorrent and I just can’t stand them lol. I’ve seen that this has been a problem from the past from other reviews as well. Other than that, Evermusic is still amazing and I’d drop my money on it again any day!

Almost perfect, but needs some fix

This music player has a really good interface, as well as for its file manager. But there are some things I have to point out : First, there’s a noticeable lag every time you change tracks in the lockscreen, so try fixing that. Something you should add to Evermusic , is being able to share or export multiple songs at the same time, compared to only being able to export one track at a time (for now). Because right now, I have like 500 songs stored into this app, and if I want to export them for some reason to the stock Files app (in case this app stops working for some reason and I lose all my songs), I would have to export them one by one which takes forever to do so, whereas if you allow us to export a bunch of songs at the same time, that would be much more easier. One more thing, is being able to import pictures from the camera roll to change album artworks, instead of being limited to only cloud storages (G Drive, Dropbox...).
Other than those problems, Evermusic is great.

The only good iOS music app for those who have mp3 files of their own

This is the best ios app for music I've seen. Lets you copy paste files via regular file manager, removing the need for itunes on windows which is a huge plus. Really nice looking and very functional. While looking for this I first used flacbox very briefly until I realized this existed since flacbox seems to crash a lot, basically identical but this seems to have bug fixes. One thing that I noticed was different (using full version of this app vs flacbox) was how music added via file manager shows up as downloaded music under media library, and you can't add this to the regular songs list. I'm not why they are differentiated, but I only have files added this way and nothing online. I don't mind this, I'm wondering why the difference though. Otherwise very happy to use this and not deal with itunes or any of the other not so great music apps out there.

Missing very basic features

I still use Evermusic a lot and am a Pro user, so the 2 star rating may be a bit harsh, but I am looking for something better. I have contacted the developers several times to ask them to add simple things like the ability to play a 2 disc album or box set in the proper order (otherwise Evermusic can *only* play back single disc releases), to isolate artists from compilation albums (like iTunes does, to make the “artists” list a touch more manageable), to enable scrobbling with last fm (not essential but standard in lots of other music software), etc. To their credit they do respond when asked about actual bugs and the like, but they don’t see interested in improving the features, even the really easy stuff. Very frustrating.

Basically flacbox with some bugfixes

I love their other app, Flacbox, but it has a lot of bugs that seem to not have ever been fixed. such as I could never get it stream FLAC'S from my NAS. This one does, so I feel like I'm essentially paying for the same app, twice. I don't know why they couldn't have just fixed FLACBOX, instead of getting us to pay again for what is essentially the same app.

Only bug I can see in this one is that when you load an folder to play (not in a Playlist) it seems to play the songs in alphabetical order instead of by track number, which is frustrating. It also needs the ability to view your online music by folder, as now it just does it by artist or album or song, which can be frustrating when you have your collection organized a certain way and know how to get to what you want, quickly.

Good program, but not happy about essentially paying for it twice.

Great app all around

I’ve used Evermusic for about a year now, and I love it so much. It lets me add all my music tags (which I hate not having) and it even has a “Find Tags” option, which I love even more. Only thing I don’t like is, let’s say you have a live recording, with all the live album tags, it still shows the studio cover, and sometimes vice-versa. Also sometimes it’ll randomly pause the playlist at the end of a song, but you just have to hit lay again, no big deal. It also sometimes puts an auto cover on songs that aren’t right, but that understandable, a coded app can only get so much stuff right the first time. But other than that I love this so much, and I’d recommend it to everyone who is looking for an online music app.

Good music app but...

There’s one flaw and that’s the fact that on the music player the song won’t show unless you’re in Evermusic but even when you exit out it goes away. Can you fix that, please?

About the new update: I would prefer if we had the option to go back to the old way cause it was a lot more simplified compared to now. Well what I mean by simplified is that it was kinda stupid to remove the ability to add files and edit audio tags and put them into a separate app. When it should've been used in a more advanced way instead of completely removing it from the main app. Hopefully you'll notice this review and give a response cause I really preferred the old version instead of the new one!

Great App that really works

I’ve tried and bought several apps that advertise similar functionality. None of them worked the way I wanted them to. I wanted an app that plays my mp3 audiobooks that are either store in my cloud account, or on my iPhone. It was also very important for me to be able to resume play from last position played, and to be able to create several bookmarks. Evermusic delivers on all fronts. It has actually made it possible for me to enjoy my audiobooks while driving (the are mp3 books made up of several chapters). I do use audible, audiobooks, etc. for off the shelf books, but I can’t use these apps to play mp3 audiobooks made up of 100+ chapters. this app allows me to do so.

DEVELOPERS PLZ READ !!!

Evermusic is amazing THE ONLY thing that is missing since the beginning that other music apps have is the ability to edit/ upload your own album cover & the artists pictures them selfs through your camera roll or the internet, the metadata will put random pictures/album covers of other artists & there’s no way you are able to simply correct it because the only option is the audio tag editor which doesn’t let you change the random pictures to begin with! Also if we are able to change the name of an artist in the artist page so we can avoid duplicates of the same artist. I hope someone reads this !! It took almost a year for the most recent update & still the same issues

Very close to perfection!

Hey there Mr/Mrs. Developer, I would like to personally thank you for creating Evermusic for iOS devices. This is one of the rarest fine apps for listening to offline or downloaded music out there! I’d rate Evermusic 4.5 stars. It nearly has every feature one would desire in this but still, I would like you to add one more extra feature to kick this off to perfection, that is: ADDING this app SUPPORT FOR SIRI! As for like, if I’m busy and cannot touch my phone for a few moments, I could literally ask Siri through voice to play a song from the this app app easily, which is unfortunately not in Evermusic right this moment! So, I’d please request you to take this into consideration and add support for Siri! If this happens, then it will get full 5 stars ⭐️ from me, guaranteed! Thank you

The best music app I have used!

I have been searching for a very long time for a music app that was easy and quick to use and then I found this app. I use google drive to download my music and you can easily download your music from there to Evermusic . After using Evermusic for around 2 years, I have had like only 2 glitches where I click on a song and it plays another song but that is it. You can easily edit a song’s name and info. The only thing I wish they could change is how to change a song’s picture. That is a bit complicated or at least for me. If they could allow you to add an image from your photo library, that would be nice. Overall though, great app! I recommend it :)!

Ok

I think for all free music players that allow you to connect to your cloud drive, only this app is usable. All others either have really stupid ADs that make their apps unusable or have too many restrictions.
That doesn’t mean I have low standards for this app. The problems for this app I have are:
1. Sync takes forever. I only have 185 songs on my cloud drive and I have opened Evermusic to let it synced many times. It’s still not complete. My internet speed is 150mbps. Again, I only have 185 songs.
2. SORT for my music library. The idea is great because I love to be able to sort my music by date. But it doesn’t work. I don’t know what sorting method is implemented behind the scene but results are complete wrong. Is this a feature that only few people use? How come it is still not fixed?
Appreciate the free app. Just wanted to point out the frustration.

❤LOVE, BUT 🙏please add Siri support & custom eq

Evermusic is fantastic, I live how easy it is to set up your own media sharing server so you can have your own little 'cloud' set up to stream your music and how easy it is to set up third party cloud services, as well as using the native Files app to import downloaded music. I also really enjoy using the built-in audio tagging feature. The only thing missing is support for Siri Search and Shortcuts. I know with the audio tagging it's possible so please dev team let's make it happen! I'd really love to make this a part of a shortcut for when I start my run/walk/cycling workout.
Keep up the excellent work this app!
Also... Would love to see an option for custom equalizer presets & 3D surround sound presets (like Boom audio)

Great App but has some issues

It has some features that same apps don’t: like identifying the song, editing audio tags, downloading music covers, changing interfaces. And it’s very enough for people like me who wants to upload music from computer or social networks and organize them.
Buuuuuutttttt, it has sooo many buggggs, mostly in playlist. When You add songs, it stuck
When you delete songs, it stuck. And the other problem is that you can’t choose the album covers or singers in music library and it only downloads them automatically.
I think if developers give more options and take down the bugs, it will be sooooo muchhh better than other apps in this field.

The update made things messed up

Everything was fine before the current update. Now songs won’t play, downloads won’t load. Evermusic keeps freezing. Adding new songs ends up adding all of the songs I downloaded to a playlist and that is very annoying, having to trash all music just for it to happen again. This update screwed up alot of things and that is very disappointing to say the least. I know a few years ago i made Comment saying Evermusic was awesome and all that but..
Its all pretty frustrating now. Thats a shame.
Update: i have had it, music wont play at ALL at this point. Evermusic is now rendered useless now. I cant even do anything with out that x in the middle of the screen loading, it freezes and i have to get off Evermusic before i can use it again only for it to freeze up 10 seconds later. What did this update do to Evermusic?!

Excellent for music and audio lectures!

Evermusic is excellent for listening to music or audio lectures. You do not need to use your computer or iTunes to upload the music.
You can connect directly to cloud services like Dropbox Pcloud or Google drive and download your music and start playing.
If you upload your music to a cloud service it’s best to put it in a zip file and the software will unzip it for you.
The developers are very responsive and constantly updating the software based on the user feedback.
I recommend the software and that’s my honest opinion I’m not connected to the developers and I was not paid for this review.

Works great for playing from Google Drive

I looked for a few apps to play audiobooks that are saved to my Google Drive and this is by far the best one. It will link easily and allow you to access the audio files (presumably) regardless of the audio format. The other apps I tried wouldn’t play the file types I used and this one came through! The only thing I’d say isn’t perfect is if the file is large, anything close to 100mb gets sketchy and if it freezes playback in the middle of it then it’s hard to find your place again. I don’t expect flawless playback for files that large though, especially from a free app so 5 stars anyway!

Easy to use and super useful

I’d purchased a few vinyl records and now had a collection of codes to download mp3 versions of those records. I was looking around for an app to store all that music and this app popped up. Evermusic is incredibly easy to use and it takes me no time to get an album sorted into a playlist. I also love that the premium version is just a one time purchase. No hassling with having to pay money every month. Just one purchase and I get infinite songs, offline music, etc. Absolutely would recommend to friends if they’re looking for somewhere to store their downloaded music.

Great program with Great support

I purchases program because of the different formats it can support. I have to say it is probably the best audio playing app for the iPhone and Mac that I have use thus far. The different services that you can connect really make this a robust program. I left some feedback for support and was very surprised when I was contacted next day about it. This is the first time that a company has ever contacted me that I have left feedback for, it impressed me quite a bit. It shows their dedication to their product and their customers.

A few problems but best mp3 app for audio books could find

I still had a few audiobooks in disc form that I converted to mp3, I wanted an app that could use to play them instead of buying them again, preferably on my iPad. Most of the other mp3 apps seem to basically be complete copies from the iPhone app version and the screen can’t tilt to landscape mode. This one does, which is great for ease of use.

It also has a feature that lets you import files from the files app or from a computer, another feature is that you can airdrop files to another device. There are honestly a lot of ways to import files and I think the developer pretty much got them all which is great.

The only problem I had with Evermusic is that some of my audiobooks that were on different discs badly transition one to another because they are in different mp3 files, Evermusic tries to fade one mp3 into another but fails. Sadly I haven’t found a way to disable this. Another problem I had is that if I pause Evermusic for too long, Evermusic starts the entire book over. Luckily there is a bookmark feature but that only works if the entire audio book is one mp3 file and isn’t very useful with a bunch of separate files.

Overall great app, I understand it’s made for playing music but audiobooks work pretty ok on it.

Makes the iPad Pro a useable music machine

All the other apps I tried, including the iOS Music app, are brain-dead music players IME.

Evermusic does what I want. It lets me easily import music I added to the iPad and play it. It also lets me easily connect to my NAS and computers, as well as my cloud storage services like OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox, and play music on their drives. Can’t do that with iOS Music. iOS Music and many other music player apps require me to use iCloud or Apple Music. Not this app!

Kudos to the developer(s) for making something that works the way I want rather than the way they want.

Can’t add files and sync doesn’t work

Once I add one or more files it does not seem to have the ability to add more. The actual button you need to hit to download files to Evermusic disappears if there are any files already in Evermusic . It’s extremely frustrating. What this means is that if I have any files in Evermusic and I want to add more I have to delete everything and then add them all back as one big batch. Also tried the sync feature which apparently does not work. It recognizes that there are 521 files in the Dropbox folder that I selected, but then it just stops. It never actually transfers anything. Last gripe is that it never remembers the last file I was playing. I use Evermusic for language lessons so it would be nice if it would save my place in the playlist.

By

Amazing

In the beginning the layout was a bit confusing but it wasn’t hard to figure out after a few minutes. I’ve always been looking for something like this and I like how you can create playlists. I especially like that it shows how much time is in each playlist. Definitely would recommend to use Evermusic if you need an easy offline music player. I have an iPhone XR by the way and it works good for me so far.

By

Great app, almost everything I need in one place

I was delighted to find an app I can use for music and audiobooks. I download from google drive and play offline. Syncing is buggy, i ended up with four of each file so I just download and don’t sync anymore. The files initially only show up in the download section but Are easy to access once I put them in a playlist. I especially got this so I can adjust the playback speed and set bookmarks. The only thing I wish it had is an alarm I could set to play a certain playlist starting at a book mark or where I left off at on the sleep timer.

By

Satisfactory

It's a great music player, but for some reason whenever I try and rename a song to read it easier, it just disappears from my playlist entirely. I've also had a bit of trouble downloading new songs to add into my playlists, but maybe thats just me. Also, I hate the addition of the next song automatically playing when the previous, current song is about to finish. Annoys me more than being a convenience, due to some songs ending in a few seconds, and then a new song just taking over.

By

Suggestion

I absolutely love Evermusic, it’s amazing and I beatable, the only reason I don’t use it more often is because it doesn’t have the option to add or display lyric. I don’t know the technicalities, so I have no idea if it’s even possible for the developers but I know it’s possible because I use another (not as good, but with everything I need) app that has that feature. If it had a lyric option, it would be so great! Besides that, Evermusic is absolutely perfect.

Finally, a wonderful player

After years of searching, I can stop. This player easily lets me take my private music collection with me wherever I go. I just browse my collection, download albums, create playlists, and listen. Anywhere I want to. And it’s beautiful to look at.

One suggestion would be to add a “driving mode” to the UI to make it easy to pause, play, and navigate tracks while driving.

Wonderful music player.
